Not if they are asking for it.
so she and the not ankha girl were the two secret love interests?
>not ankha girl
I don't think so. Based off the character decks, I think it's the hunter guy.
damnit
i wanted to frick this thing instead
pre order cancelled
Jesus is every girl in this game a pit bawd?
Well that's good, she's legal at least.
Oh nevermind...
Jesus Christ. How horrifying.
Jesus Christ. How arousing.
mods will fix it
Please post more of this dubious creature.
>dykeshit
oh, i was hopeful for a normal comfy game as a shopkeep. i didnt know it was mental illness and degeneracy propaganda.
Sorry anon. But yuri is the purest form of love.

failed lifeforms.

Do you have kids?
Everybody knows you need two gays to mate to produce more gays.
>Implying Roxanne can't just grow a demonic futa wiener
>Implying protag can't make a futa cum potion
This game needs a porn copy immediately.
>Implying Roxanne can't just grow a demonic futa wiener
Haha yeah...imagine that...these damn potions Sylvia is making her drink are getting kind of crazy...
>Roxanne has no cash
>Sylvia decides to employ her as a guinea pig
>Makes her drink potions that make her lactate, grow a futa wiener, have a fatter ass and bigger breasts and be horny all the time
Kino
>Makes her drink potions that make her lactate
Oh god that sounds awful. Wouldn't want to waste any of that though...
Gee hope nobody makes a mod like that
Choosing between this thick mommy or the tomboy hero girl will be the hardest choice of my entire life.
Waiting for mods to fix it so I can frick both.
Yeah it's insane to me
>game is woke with a bunch of queer shit
>but also forced you to be monogamous
MAKE UP YOUR MINDS
based around how the internet was when xenoblade 3 droped i think most of the woke people don't like harem
Who is the modeller for the game? The designs look familiar. Like their Paladin characters or something.
A bunch of nobodies according to linkedin
Looks like that WEG ms paint picture
Dykery is unethical.
so this game is basically a dating sim disguised as a card game?
Nah, the dating sim is only like 10% of it. Think of it similar to persona where you do little "events" with people after getting their affection to a certain point. Then when that happens they give you bonuses like new cards or permanent buffs like discounts for their services.
>dating sim
That would actually imply you have time to date, and aren't bustin your ass off making potions, as you should.
Pointless, you should just be fricking around until potions get bonus to price then just make insane dosh all in one go instead of selling small every day.
just waiting for a torrent
IGG-games or cs.rin.ru
Isn't IGG basically the devil?
No.
Just use UBlock and download from Google Drive.
Yes. They've had a history of injecting crypto miners into the cracked .exe and malware in the uninstaller. Avoid using them
I'm just not feeling this game.
The daily interaction with NPCs feel like a chore.
There should have been a hard limit of 1 NPC interaction + 1 gift per day, or at least make it so time skips when you do either of those actions
As it is, I craft 1 potion time skip and then have to talk to every NPC, gift them and do their daily chores
I just wanna craft potions
The game is preventing me from enjoying THE GAME
Recettear had it just right....
Games like this and Recettear are just not realistic
You're not allowed to sell a product for a higher value than what's written on the price tag
Best you can do is give DISCOUNTS to your customer
>You're not allowed to sell a product for a higher value than what's written on the price tag
Have you gone outside in the last couple years? Literally everyone is just raising the price tag "just because" and hiding behind "muh supply chain" and "muh inflation".
I mostly shop online but on the rare occasions I have to shop outside what I usually do if I see a price way higher than what's available online is open a page on my phone with the product's average price online and show that to the shop owner.
They usually give me a discount right away when that happens but I've never actually been asked to pay MORE for a product im interest in like in Recettear and Potionomics
I think the idea of it is you're haggling but in a more video game sense. I don't think it'd be as fun to spend the entire mini game trying to just prevent the price of your good from going down.
Recette doesn't use price tags, her customers walk up to her only for her to make up prices on a whim
AAAAAAAAAH, THAT FRICKING b***h
SHE MAKES ME SO ANGRY ###########
Because you live in an economy of fixed market prices, what's going on in the game is normal in countries that still do haggling.
Yuri is gay, that is all.
>Cute girls wanting to kiss each other is gay
No shit, moron.
This game is alright but the FRICKING LOADING SCREENS
Jesus christ who thought it was a good idea to literally put a loading screen in between every single thing you do. I assume this game would be a disaster on consoles.
>low effort goyslop is in fact low effort goyslop
Woah.
This game is anything but low effort, the animations and art are very polished for an indi. There are a few bugs, but that's pretty much par for the course these days with fresh releases. They'll get patched.
>the brat is just an Amazon equivalent who has drones that same-day deliver all her potions and she can inhabit the mind of the drone at any time
Why does this make me so hard. I want to buy an Anubia frick doll
Have you tried Potion Permit?
I'm 98% certain it's a chinese vaccination propaganda.
In a thread the other day people were talking about how disappointing this was. I'm assuming it's a more direct Recettear clone but shitty? Don't think I've ever even seen it talked about on Ganker before.
It's bad all around. It's not even a shop/crafting game. You run a clinic, occasionally healing the villagers.
You spend whole day every day running around the city to increase rep with 20 npcs to get their quests, which usually require crafting reagents or quest potions. You get them in special zones where reagents respawn every day in the same places. After doing enough quests, you unlock new zone and get a new slew of quests to gather more reagents from it.
And as I said before this all feels like a thing to ensure common village folk that big city pharma is good guys, doing everything to help them. and they shouldn't fear the potions made by chemist player.
Sounds like it is similar for the reasons I kind of bounced off Graveyard Keeper. I spent so much of that game just fricking running around.
People may b***h about Potionomics being entirely menu based but I almost prefer it. Outside of the awful loading screens, it never feels like I'm wasting my time doing anything.
Potion Permit plays like a Kickstarter game that failed to meet any of it backer goals. If you played the demo that's essentially all the game is to the very end. Even the "dating" portion of it is bare bones. Basically you go outside, check to see if you have any patients, play a mini game to cure them, go to the woods, grind for materials, come back, throw whatever gift you want at whatever NPC you want to frick, go to bed. Now repeat that for the next three levels you unlock, and that's essentially the game.
Maybe the dev developed Stockholm syndrome when the CCP welder their door shut.
Why couldn't they make a male version of the MC
sucking wiener isn't everything, anon, no matter how much you love it
Wait 4 mod
Why would you want to be gay?
Only just got to day 15, but it feels like this game has some serious balancing issues.
Unlocking new cards increasing relationships while there is just not enough time to efficiently do the relationship increasing thing really kill the deck building aspect. Doesn't help there's a hard limit on how many cards/turns you can afford to waste while there are too many cards with Opener effects. Ordering heroes to adventure to get you items not only cost a frick ton, you also have to waste a lot of potions to help them gather any sort of somewhat useful amount of materials, and the MP bar is essentially just another HP bar so you'll have to waste at least 2 kind of potions per run. Rewards for fulfilling orders are half of what you'd get from selling normally, its only advantage is you not wasting a time slot but that's fricking moronic.
On Day 38 and I can agree with most of this.
The game really feels like it's built around the following structure
>start the week by making health / mana potions
>send adventurers as far as humanely possible (especially in zones that have bonuses)
>take all items and immediately donate them to Quinn
>spend most money on buying stuff from Quinn (especially when on sale)
>buy any other materials from Baptiste
>craft whatever potions give best value
>repeat above
>focus on making competition potions
>only sell potions during specific high value days (it's okay to go a whole day selling nothing)
I was always just sending on adventures and it was kind of fricking me over. I think this is what a lot of people are doing as most people are saying the same issues as you are about the game feeling really imbalanced. I don't think the game is too hard, I just think it really wants you to play one specific way which sucks for a game with what appears on the surface to be some variety of what you're able to do.
The game gets proportionally easier the longer you play the game since you unlock bigger cauldrons to make more potions per brew.
Mint is pretty shit as an adventurer since she has a tiny mana bar so you have to spend a mana potion her, once you unlock the second hero, you pretty much don't want to use Mint over her.
Make sure to use the marketing campaign to boost certain potion prices since it could potentially double or triple your profits. At the start of the day, check the marketing girl and pick a marketing campaign that boost certain potion sales, hoard all the ingredients you need to craft said potions, and spend the whole day crafting a bunch of them to sell for tomorrow and make crazy profits the next day, repeat again for the next day.
Don't hang around with people, only give gifts it doesn't take up a timeslot.
I hate this artstyle.
It literally makes me sick.
Get well soon, anon.
Glad to hear that anon. Perish.
yes, but there is no better indicator for shit games.
what more can you ask for yuri bro.
I'm enjoying the game. Still on my 1st week. It's definitely a bit strict on its time management combined with you having to make mistakes just to see how all the systems work out but I've been doing fine so far and I enjoy the difficulty at least at this point.
I thought I was going to have a bad time setting up the potions for whatever this competition is but I've got 2/3 set up thanks to materials from the investing mechanic.
The game could use some sort of codex to keep track of everything like what gifts characters like or what the stats are on all the materials you've found/where they're obtained.
It's also annoying that I can't refer to the custom orders and what I'm currently brewing when I'm traveling in the city.
Yea there are some definite QOL stuff that makes me scratch my head.
Like why the hell can you sort by magimin in the brewing menu but you can't in Quinn's shop?
Another thing about the brewing sorting is that you can only filter for ingredients that have A AND B but you can't filter ingredients that have A OR B which would have helped a lot. Maybe it doesn't matter later in the game.
>Maybe it doesn't matter later in the game.
As someone almost through day 40, it still matters. The brewing could use a lot of help.
I'd love to be able to "save" recipes because fumbling through all my ingredients is something I'm still doing. I just want to be able to do like quick crafts once you know how to make something but I need to frick around with the magimins every single time.
The interface is terrible, every ingredient window should have sorting and filtering.
I'm actually about to drop the game because so much time is wasted on going through ingredients (just beat the second boss).
I froze the time,so I can hangout with every npc every day.
It's a 4 byte going from 0 to 5.
At this point I'm convinced we'll never get an actual spiritual successor to Recettear. How the frick an almost 20 years old game made out of assets from another game got everything right on its first attempt?
>got everything right
The combat in that game is absolute dogshit though.
Ok, got mostly everything right.
Welp. Don't try to rank up an already maxed rank relationship. Just froze my game...not sure why they even allow that option.
Use cheat engine to play this at 3x speed during the daily chores.
Game feels so much better this way because for some reason it feels like every action you do takes a couple of seconds to actually finish because of animations
Loading screens are awful too.
I don't see how it helps when you spend the majority of your time on loading screens and filtering/finding reagents and magimins.
For some reason, cheat engine speedhack also speeds up the loading screens.
>fake loading screens
do indie devs really...
Maybe they're tied to framerate or some spaghetti code mess, we'll never know.
>cheat engine speedhack also speeds up the loading screens
So they're not even loading screens...I noticed some are just animations like a circle transition but what the frick.
>Paying homage to one of the best video games ever to grace this godforsaken planet
Nice
ye ye
Doubt you're still here anon but where'd you get that cheat table? I'm honestly getting a little overwhelmed here, I'm doing my best to juggle what I can but management sims were never my strongsuit.
I think I'm doing good but I'd be lying if i said this is getting way too thin for my tastes.
You don't need a table for speedhack, it's a base function.
Everything else is a simple 4 byte. Time of day counts from 0 to 5.
Oh shit, time to tinker.
I mostly just wanna frick with my money a little so I can actually afford materials. I feel like I'm being choked to death with every little thing. The devs could've thought everything after the first week out a little more.
I just unlocked Xid so I hope things turn around, i heard she's basically the godsend from here on out.
Xid is a better adventurer in every way. Her only real downside is her HP but crafting big HP potions is the easiest thing.
I still don't get how the part time singer has better stats than the chick who's made it her life goal to become a hero. Wish they'd at least have her stats improve as you improve her relationship with you.
most of these events have really weird wording.
if the slimes don't eat fruit, shouldn't there be more fruit, and the price be lower?
this kinda shit has happened several times now
I read that as slimes eat fruit. So when you adventure and get fruit, you're getting them from killing a slime and the slime dropping the fruit.
Therefore if slime populations are low, fruit isn't being eaten by them, therefore it's spoiling and that's causing price to go up.
I guess adventurers in this game are braindead meatheads who can only kill monsters and don't know how to just pick some fruit off a tree.
Cant stand games with arbitrary time limits that make it stressful to enjoy the whole game.
>unlocking cards unlocks them permanently in any savefile
Utterly moronic.
>unlocking cards unlocks them permanently in any savefile
Wait seriously?
It's probably a bug, I started another run and my deck was the same that I used in the other savefile. I restarted again and this time I only had the tutorial cards, but I'm still able to use the cards I unlocked in my previous savefile as long as I've met the character.
I mean it would be nice if their intent for replay value was to do runs where you romance different characters. But I assumed that something like that would only happen when you beat the game.
This game seems to have a lot of bugs. Just now I couldn't do any order, the options are completely greyed out. The frick have they been doing in the 6 year dev time?
one of several known issues
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1874490/view/5532134553933823039
OH GOD IM SELLING POTIONS
>22k
God I wish that was me. I really need to work on my card collection.
After week three, I haven't had to worry at all about money. The difficulty curve really seems to drop off after the first week or so.
There are just so many percentage bonuses you get access to that potions start selling for insane amounts.
I should probably buy some display shelves.
What do display shelves do and why don't you use them? I think I clicked through owls tutorial.
How do you make potions that don't suck. Asking for a friend.
It's less about making potions that don't suck and using the game's systems to just jack up their prices. Taking advantage of daily events, always keeping up to date cauldrons / shelves, utilizing Luna / Roxanne for buffs that match up with what types of potions you have / negating debuffs they may have.
The best advice I can give is you don't have to immediately sell a potion. You can spend a couple days either waiting for buffs or preparing buffs to maximize value of them.
AHHHHHHHHHHH
Wtf is your deck anon
Mostly Roxanne cards with some from Xidriel.
>1% stress means 100% chance of getting a stress card
nice x-com reference
Forced animation
>I want static jpgs
Worked for Recettear.
>send Mint with no potions, dies 3 enemies in and returns with 6 logs worth 120 coins
>send her with potions, kills the boss, returns with literal shit materials not worth more than 30 coins in total
t-thanks
My main problem with it is the competitionss, feels like all the extra money I make is pointless since the only real goal is making hyper potions.
Also some questions.
1: what do display cases do again? How exactly does that mechanic work do I just want my best potions there or does it have more depth then that
2: are the guild expeditions supposed to trivialize the game or what?
we're cooking
How does is compare to Recettear?
>new savefile shows total time instead of individual savefile time
Jesus christ, I have to imagine they either struggled with this shit or it was one of the last things they implemented and didn't test it properly.
not even remotely as good
There are a lot of text bugs as it pertains to menus, it's kind of weird. You'll notice in
that it says Roxanne is a "Bardic Hero" when that's only because I went into Xidriel's menu first.
I've also noticed other text get swapped like the description describing another character entirely.
Kinda amazing how they took all the best ideas from Recettear and either made it shitty (time and inventory management) or trivialized it to heck (haggling and unlocking character events)
Is this a WEG game with an actual aesthetic?
It's not a WEG, you can tell because it actually finished and released and there's no ero.
Wait, you can't Save when traveling around? What the frick? Did they even playtest this shit?
I like how no one actually listened to the owls explenation of what the display cases actually do
Guilty as charged.
Isn't it just a better shelf?
what do they do
I feel like this game desperately needs some type of "codex" menu. I'd love to be able to get more information on the traits of potions as I have no idea what they even do. I must've missed that explanation as well.
I did. They're meant to draw in more customers. Now I haven't played the game without having at least something in my shelf, but I imagine that they don't do that since no one here seems to have an issue with it?
It "attracts" more customers. But you always seem to sell all your potions, so I don't understand.
I get that part but I'm not sure the actual mechanic.
I only once didn't sell my stock because enough people didn't show up
>But you always seem to sell all your potions
Depends on how many shelves you have. I have three shelves now (9 total potions) and I usually only sell about 4-5
I accidentally opened my shop to sell some potions when the shelves got reset after the tournament (so the display shelves are empty), and I only had 2 customers come into my shop when I filled 6 potions on my shelves to sell. So they do matter, also upgraded shelves boost the prices of the potions displayed on those shelves.
reading the steam forum really shows how hard reading is for some people. 99% of the questions are basic shit that the game tells you
But I just want to click through all the dialogue and see my character kiss cute character in a cutscene...what the hell...are you saying I actually have to play the game?
Anon, people here didn't even know what the display case did.
I pirated it but it feels like I am playing an Android/iOS game, frick this.
Tiny Shop would be the Android equivalent and it's leagues worse.
What time management game about making potions. What else were you expecting?
>game directly references a decade-old Youtube video
Based or cringe?
Cringe
It would be disappointing if they didn't.
Based because it's a reference to a based video. It would be cringe if the reference was to something bad.
Any tips for amassing resources? just send the girl to farm resources, buy cheap at Quinn and buy the rarest ingridients at the investing thing?
>Invest button is always greyed out
why
did you restart the game recently?
There are lots of known issues related to pressing esc, starting a new save etc.
Yes, and I can imagine that's the reason, I left a pending investment in my previous savefile and it fricked everything up.
Post pits
Alright, I'm gonna try the game
Gib tips
Time is valuable. Don't waste it.
Also frick every customer.
>when you accidentally use one of your competition potions
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
WHY CANT I LOCK THEM OR SOMETHING
Just put them into the fricking display dude.
They don't appear on arrange potions and shit anymore and during the competition you can still pick them up.
This is what I do. In a way the display case has one useful function.
Are customers still able to buy stuff in the display cases?
No.
Fricking shit...so I'm assuming the display case "value" buffs for upgraded display cases still function during the boss battles? God damnit, I'm a moron.
also there is an auto-save everyday, and not just one, you could just reload it and be fine.
>no male mc in a dating game
Nah, im not a troony
>mentioned trannies out of nowhere
Far enough into the game and I still have no fricking clue how crafting works.
Pic related.
Simply adding this cubic ooze shoots up the quality of this potion like 4 stars. I don't get it.
The cube is a gold material and has better traits I'm guessing.
Yeah it's just odd because I have a bunch of gold materials and was swapping stuff around but for whatever reason that combination shot up quality by a huge amount.
more migamins = more stars, its up to you to decide if skewing up the migs adds more value or not as perfect will always give +2 stars with chance for bonus
tell me how going from 870 to 879 adds 4 stars and 1.5k gold
It honestly makes me feel like it's bugged. Because I've added that slime to a ton of other recipes randomly and usually it'll give me an extra potion. But nothing like that.
My bad, didn't look at the image below. Maybe there is an ingredient bonus threshold for how many different types you use?
I'm not far enough into the game to give a good answer sorry
>Maybe there is an ingredient bonus threshold for how many different types you use?
I definitely feel like this is true. I've noticed you get a lot more points for mixing a bunch of different ingredients instead of just spamming like 10 of the same exact one.
Expanding on this, I know there are a few "item base" types like plants /insects/ etc. Maybe if you hit a base type threshold you get a bonus, from the looks of that guys pic that was the only slime base in his brew
Does this game have voice acting?
None whatsoever. Kind of sucks.
Just curious since I ddin't know if the trailer simply didn't show it.
So is the game good, visuals aside? How about when compared to others in the genre?
Every game in the genre is bad when compared to Recettear.
its honestly kinda bad because of the competitions, I feel like excelling at any aspect of the game is not rewarded really since if you just get your potions by the end date it doesn't matter if you have 1 gold coin in your pocket or 10000000000000
Same, I honestly don't understand why the chose to do it this way. They ripped off the debt idea from Recettear anyways so they should just have rolled with it instead of trying to be clever.
It could had been in a way to soft help for players not excelling at potion making instead of just making it mandatory.
It's currently too janky and needs patches.
it was but the devs nerfed the shit out of the first 2-3 weeks and they were the best part of the game, after that you unlock slime and the game might as well be over.
I like Quinn the most.
Is that supposed to be a boy or girl
Reminder that Luna's marketing buffs begin on the following day.
Don't be a moron like me...
They do? That's stupid.
its almost as if the game told you that in the shop screen.
learn to read anon
I think everyone kinda gets that it draws in people but the thing I don't know is what factors into it.
The current price? Should I change it everyday depending on +/- buffs? Or is it just the star level of the potion that matters? Should my display case show what im selling on a particular day? Like should I have basic potions if im selling basic potions or does that not matter?
I think high quality potions in the display case just affects how many customers you end up getting.
Well at least you didn't end applying one of her buffs a day before a competition, haha, that would be braindead if anyone actually did that by mistake...
Any other cute girls in this, since I can't have the Egyptian one?
As far as I'm aware, these are all the girl options.
Man, the 2D art is so much, much, much better than the disgusting 3D shit.
Absolutely agree. I really like the art on all the cards as well as all the little chibi models around town.
I honestly love every card with Mint on it.
Same, her design is great.
>we will never have a fully 2D Potionomics
It's just not fair.
There there bro...
>tfw no cute brown freckled tomboy gf
>happy Casca will never comfort you as an underhanded emotional manipulation tactic to sell you overpriced garbage you don't need
Can you post more Luna, please?
She has 4 arms?
She's a stock market bro. I haven't gotten her rank up that high.
Well, I guess she's my favorite, now, but like the other anon said, the 2D art is much nicer.
Hopefully someone else can post more of her.
Here she is without her glasses.
>she will never wrap all 4 hands around your dick
Thank you
>luna
>roxanne
>mint
that is a difficult choice what the FRICK
>blm twitter shit
I'll maybe give it a pirate since it's card shit
don't, as a deck builder lover myself that aspect is not very good.
well frick
can't they do one thing right
I really like the look of the psudo anime stuff both on the cards and the shop screen much more then the 3d models.
You seem to be far enough into the game, but you have the basic shelf, man.
I just got to day 10, yee i keep forgetting to use the new shelf fack thanks for the reminder
>have greater thunder tonic for tusk
>somehow it's not good
Those requests are fricking bullshit because you also need to match the traits as well. You're most likely missing the trait he is asking for.
Qualities, you need yours to have Sensation: Taste in the positive (blue)
I didn't notice this either and it pissed me off I used all my ingredients for a shitload of orders that needed alertness potions but none of 'em had Sensation: Hearing or something and I saved over it.
That's some fricking bullshit.
I'm already blind at the icons, the posivite trait color is fricking close to gray that I can't fricking see it.
You also only need those traits and no other. If you have more positives/negatives, it won't work.
For fricks sake is Quinn a boy or a girl
The person who did the art for the cards clearly decided boy but it was probably decided to make it ambiguous later.
A boy for all intents and purposes, just called something else for twitter attention.
Someone should mod this game to just call him what he is and edit out all the pronoun garbage. It's UE4, right? Simple text mods should be easy.
>they knew
Looks like a twink but you can pretend it's a girl
It's obviously a twink.
Too bad they ruined his 3D model by giving him a round and dumb face
He looks much better in the card art.
I just have an immense hatred for heterochromia. Seems like such a "muh unique" bullshit trait that it makes me dislike any character immediately. Which is lame because Quinn is neat and his eyes glow purple when using his orb. Hope you can mod it later to just have his eyes always like that.
I'll wait for the "fixed loading screens between every single screen change" update.
I JUST WANT RECETTEAR 2!!!!
Don't worry anon, EGS will work on it after they release Territoire. Any day now haha...
Just to be clear, should you bother with feeding Quinn the rare stuff you find or is she too expensive for that
Always feed ingredients to Quinn. ALWAYS
Literally it's the first thing I do when I get one, even if it's the only one I have. Even if stuff is expensive, you get coupons after getting his affection up that give you discounts and there's daily deals that make some materials like 50% off.
you absolutely should feed him yeah, its an integral mechanic.
>feed him gold slime
>slimes discount
>buy more gold slims for 20g
>should you feed Quinn shit you find that you'll be able to buy permanently in the future.
No, it's a terrible feature to have. Better to just rely on the RNG for all your needs. Come on.
I am literally about to buttfrick this last competition.
Okay that was almost kind of a pain in the ass.
what happened, anon?
I'm just on week 3, but haven't gotten the aging barrels yet. How'd it go?
so what happens after the last competition?
roll credits? endless mode?
Still working through that.
The only thing I'd say is going into the last competition, you might want to make more than 1 of each potion.
Well, I have to say that was a fricking huge disappointment.
After beating the game, you get credits, get a "thanks for playing" and then you just get dumped back into the title screen. Loaded the last save and it was just the morning of the last boss fight.
Looks like there's nothing that happens after beating the game.
Looks like they just put out a new patch too.
>every boss's potion requirements reduced
Damn this game really was filtering people.
disappointing
I haven't even romanced Mint because I'm always sending her out and I'm already halfway to the 2nd boss.
Thx for saving me 10 hours of shit gameplay loop.
Don't get me wrong, I'm the anon you're replying to. The only reason I'm disappointed is because I wanted more of the game. I'm mostly just sad that it's over and has pretty minimal replay value outside building out relationships I didn't do to mess around with cards I didn't use in my first playthrough.
Oh Uncle Oswald...oh my....
moar

Still no idea what they do
My guess is it's no different than a writer. Either that or fancy term for "manager of the writers". But in this case I think this dev has like 7 employees
I mean I enjoyed the game, was a solid 8/10 for me but it's pretty upsetting there's no "continue your shop" mode after the end of the game.
So far just going through the credits.
Cute.
>the swimsuits are less lewd than their default outfits

what people like: a noncomprehensive list
>muktuk: ore
>baptiste: essence
>roxanne: gems
>quinn: fricking bugs lmao
>mint: raw mana
rest: ???
My only thing is I just beat the game but have no idea how to get pic related.
I thought maybe it'd be one of the adventurer zones but I never saw it.
Wait, no endless mode? No new game+?
Is this game early access?
Doesn't look that way. Maybe a future patch will address it.
I still feel as if I got my money's worth. I'd play through it again but they really don't let you skip any of the tutorial shit so it feels like kind of a bother right now. Again, hoping they may patch that to make it easier to just start a new game up.
On twitter they say they want to add more languages and a switch port etc in the future.
I bet in like a year they'll release a "complete edition" with voice acting, console ports, more languages and a lot more polished.
Everyone in this game is ugly.
>ugly
I wouldn't say ugly, just a bit uncanny with the 1% patreonface DNA in every character, but this is a billion times better than most of the western shit out there.
artist?
There's literally only like 10 images on rule34 my dude.
bizzyniz
thank you brother
It's pretty close to uncanny valley, I agree
>buy perk for Drowsiness Cures
>Realize you made Drowsiness Enhancers by mistake
Fuuuuck
I swear the stress percentages lie, I get like a stress card every other turn with sub 5%
Stress has a tendency to snowball so quickly it feels like. I don't even bother with trying to sell potions if I'm above 20% stress.
Stress is weird because I thought 100% stress was the max, but you'll get a full deck of stress cards at anything above 10% if you let it get that far.
has anyone managed to make the weird luna-roxanne stress-yourself archetype work
it feels so risky, even if you're all in on stress and have a bunch of the "deal damage = stress%" cards, just drawing a bunch of garbage never seems like the right option
I hate stress. I had a much better time using Roxanne cards alongside Mint / Baptiste / Saffron.
Card games are usually the same so I mostly wanted to focus on anything that recovered Patience. It worked for me as I was at least able to go through the whole game with no game overs.
How the hell do you get certain effects on your potion?
you brew it in
There is absolutely zero penalty accepting requests from people, just as an FYI. Even if you have zero intention of fulfilling them.
i have not fulfilled a single custom request since week 3
if my customers aren't happy with roxanne rubbing her pit sweat over my potions to temporarily mask the stench of rotting fish they're not getting their "aromatic" potions at all
The issue is the custom requests requiring specific traits. It seemed to me to be more lucrative to just spam potions as high quality as you possibly can than try to frick around with traits for less money for requests.
Yeah trait requirements are fricking dumb especially early on when you might be limited in your options
Could've been reduced to a + or - only request instead of being specific
I think just have them request a potion and then have specific trait modifiers function as big bonuses. So if they request it smells good or whatever and you're able to do it, you get like 40% more gold but if you don't have that then it should still allow you to turn it in.
They should've just had it if you didn't have the traits they requested or red traits you got less money.
yeah, that's what i meant, the trait system is such a hassle to engage with
they should have either made it an optional plus like
or have had the traits be a % chance to show up, rather than every request
as it stands even if you want to make an npc happy it's easier to just stop by quinn's shop and buy their favorite item, then make your money separately
requests are ok depending on the tier they want, since it lets you get rid of unused materials. The only ones not worth doing $ wise is if they want the highest tier you can make
>Customer walks in and wants a Extra Grande Insight, Alert and Sight elixir all with two good traits for 1.2k in less than three days
Yeah, you can go frick yourself too buddy.
Isn't there a cute, nerd, moth girl in this game?
yes
Luna
anon was kind enough to post a couple pics of her above
if you find more of her, please post it
Are the cat's worth investing into?
Maybe for later? I ended up with so much gold by the end of the game that I was just buying their biggest chest every single day.
I assume their coupon gives discounts on that. I just didn't like the RNG of the first few cards I got from them.
b-bros?
What you don't speak one handed keyboard stroke?
damn he is just like me frfr
They really need to rebalance regular potion selling rewards to competition ones, this is stupid.
I’m still not playing your dating sim, homosexual
So what's your days look like on average, do you go shopping everyday and how often do you go to check the adventurers
>check brews that completed overnight and start some new ones (feeding wood to try to get them ~1 turn)
>go into town
>gift all the people I want to gift
>get items from adventurers
>give items to quinn if any new ones
>buy stuff from quinn that's on sale
>get a buff from roxanne
>do any romance events that pop up
>buy the chest from the cats (i only started doing this later in the game when I was flush with cash. you mostly get cosmetics so this is less essential)
>go back and sell shit / brew more potions
>Save the game just in case anything breaks
>Go to town
>Grab all my shit from the adventure guild
>send on lowest adventure I can afford
>buy whatever is on sale
>gift
>come back
>brew
>sell/buy/accept commissions I know I won't be able to complete
>if there enough time go back into town and mingle to reduce stress or gift for cards
I'm surprised I havent seen shitflinging about this game having a "tumblr artstyle" or that its woke sjw garbage or something
The game would be cute if it was full 2D because it has good character design, it's the ugly 3D models that give the game the cheap tumblr game aesthetic.
Which are better campaigns from Luna to buy? The Potion ones or the Trait ones?
Thanks for two walls, you donkey.
Her hero license image looks too lewd, man.
She's doing her best, okay.
I think at the end of the game I had like 8 duplicate of the same wall. You get a shit load from the cats too.
>looks like qt brownie in 2D
>looks like a short hair black in 3D
I guess that's why anime usually avoids lips
Where do I see my reputation with npcs?
The deck builder option. Cycling through them should show it on the bottom left
Thanks, I remember seeing it somewhere, but was looking at the journal and hangout screens.
I'm curious if they just got pressure from the publisher to finish the game as it's kind of odd the first two bosses end up being romance options and then the last three bosses you just kind of plow through and never talk to again.
That seems like a believable scenario
Considering they only have one language supported at launch while they're saying they'll add more later (and console versions) makes me think think we'll see something like a re-release later.
I would kill for a "you paid off your debt after the game so just relax and brew potions". Could even have little competitions you join with past bosses that have random modifiers or something and require random potions to craft. I just want to max all the shit without having to worry about a time limit.
You see recetear could do that because it had a half baked dungeon crawling game built into it.
I Don't think this has the content for a postgame.
I'm not even looking for a fully fleshed out post-game, I just want to be given free reign to finish everything up.
>I Don't think this has the content for a postgame.
Just unlock the last two rivals as love interest, and you can conjure up some excuse to get the game going for a little longer. Maybe a "Become the best potion shop in town scoreboard" sort of thing.
i feel like if you could romance boss 3 his social link would be way too tight time wise.
What is the point of the Shocked debuff negates any of the buffs you get from it, it also last for 2 turns. It's good when paired with cards like Pumped up, but it feels too random.
there are cards that remove debuffs and its not so bad if you prebuffed a turn before since you get like 20+ for 2time that but yeah theres better cards.
you sell potions through a series of mini games
I constantly want to press middle mouse to hide the dialogue window like in ren'py porn games.
>enjoy gameplay in the demo
>every feature that's not in the demo is half baked
the sorting options are dogshit
buffs need to last longer (make them more expensive)
levelling up a relationship should remove a bit of stress as a bonus for the time cost, otherwise why even spend it on cards you're probably not going to use
you should be able to put duplicate customizations in vendi
unequipping cauldrons or tables to upgrade them is fricking unforgivable
game is a 6/10 but easily could have been a 8 or 9, I don't think patches will save it
still the best shop sim since recettear, why can't anyone surpass it?
>best shop sim since recettear
I don't know man, I fricking hate deck builder shit, the shop aspect is even worse than winkeltje.
It's like telling the Irish that shit is the best thing they can get after potatoes, sure you are technically right, but what does that actually say about the current state of shop sims in reality?
>still the best shop sim since recettear, why can't anyone surpass it?
What others have you played?
NTA but what others are there that are good? Moonlighter looks pretty but gameplay wise looks shit. All the others feel like flash games.
Winkeltje was decent but nothing groundbreaking. It also has the mobile-game look and no story afaik.
>Winkeltje
Man...I could not get over how jank that game was. The UI and aesthetic is such dogshit. Reminds me of runescape.
Ooga booga wut cards are good, me too dumb for deck building
Mint for shields, Baptiste for more turns, and Roxanne for buffs.
Pretty much
is what I used.
Also Saffron has a card that's really good for bosses if you get her to rank 3. Increases interest based off patience. I've beaten bosses in one round by just using that card as it'll boost like crazy
I use the owl and the twink to draw my entire deck in 2 turns basically
The point is to get all the +% to cost of potion, sympathy buff, and slight of hand to remove my 5 potion debuffs all in one turn so i never take stress damage, not deal with stacking time lose, and maximize sympathy buff returns.
Even if you only get like half way through someones gauge you still stack up like 90% gains
i don't know if its the best I don't have enough cards yet.
This game is the perfect example why pirating is necessary.
do enchantments make your shit traits good or your good traits better?
I never figured out what they even do. From what I saw, it seemed like they were just flat % bonuses to value. So the more you stack, the better
There's a lot of these "potion crafting" games, are there any other kind of crafting games? I really want to be a blacksmith.
Is there a smithing simulator?
>blacksmith
Closest I can think of is My Time in Portia/Sandrock.
Weapon shop de omasse on the 3ds is all I can think of
All of them are absolute shit.
Fantasy Life on the 3DS has one of the crafting jobs be Blacksmith with it's own mini-game.
The fact Fantasy Life died on the 3DS is one of the greatest vidya crimes.
Is it just me, or did she not have grey skin in all of the prerelease videos?
Because she's the first boss and it's a human disguise. Once you beat her, she reveals she's a demon.
no your correct.
after you beat her she grows horns and is revealed to be a succbus
>At day 30
>Highest relationship is maybe 5
I'm not gonna make it.
I saw this game on steam and it looked like peak soi. Are you telling me it's worth playing?
Luna or salt&pepper, who the worst cards and why is is SP? at least luna final card can be used kinda
I like Luna but have zero desire to use her cards. I saw the first couple had to do with messing with stress and was like no fricking way. I hate having any amount of stress and I don't feel like playing around it. Would rather just use Mint's cards and block it entirely.
stress is not even a big deal. Whats happens? you get a card that debuffs you for more stress but then the customer dont even try to stress you out that turn. Or you get a card that gives 1 stress build up.
Just sleep it off kek.
It more just fricks over any potential profits. Instead of building up the value of the potion you're sitting there with your dick in your hand.
not really, defending against stress is the loss of opportunity to jack up the price. Both in the playing field and when giving them deck space.
>defending against stress is the loss of opportunity to jack up the price
Not with Mint's cards. Can defend and jack up the price. Sure it isn't as much as others but I just focused on buffing myself, defending, and stacking patience where possible through Baptiste's cards.
My average sell would only go for 2-3 hands and more often than not I'd get like one heart away from max.
just get the card the heal 1 stress every turn for the rest of the day.
what were the developer even thinking with this card, its way too strong.
Where do you get it again
lv 6 or 7 with the tree girl
Heres an example of some c**t trying to slam me with 4 stress but iv already got him where i want him and will finish with 80% boost in 1 turn.
In most situations people wont even try to stress you out.
>that
>good
my dude, that is a shit sale. go hug the fat dude to get some extra boosts and get some better close deal card. why are you even closing a deal before getting max value from it
you need some CAPITALISM HO in your soul brother.
Post deck
this is what i made around the end of the third week, i end up getting some better stuff but since i didn't really need to sell stuff again i never bother to update it.
>Chorus
God I fricking love those cards.
>pulling like 4 chorus cards in a hand on the 2nd or 3rd turn in addition to a sympathy cards
HNNNGGGGGG
lets see it in action my dude, haven't seen half these cards in your deck
80% in one turn, I don't know what I can do better without more cards.
why are you so addicted to turn one. as long as you can max every sale the turn number doesn;t mater
because then I don't need to have anti stress cards in my deck at all, and it makes room for cards that give flat % bonus and draw cards and you maximize buffs.
as long as you max every sale that is the only thing that mater, by having 1-2 cards to deal with stress you can keep everything going for longer and get max hearts every time
that's not actually true, since the % increase is capped at what the dudes maxed happiness is. For gloomy customers is very low for happy it can be high.
To get higher % values BEYOND that, you have to exploit cards that give flat % bonus like charm.
And thats just for starters, you can jack up the BASE price of your potions by using ingredients that have high nutrients in exchange for negative modifiers, then clearing the negative modifiers by using slight of hand and exploding your profits.
none of this truly matters since me ending the game with 100000000000000 more gold then you wont change anything since all you actually have to do is win the competitions.
>none of this truly matters since me ending the game with 100000000000000 more gold then you wont change anything since all you actually have to do is win the competitions
Yeah that was my biggest issue after the 3rd boss. I started accumulated so much wealth but there wasn't really anything to do with it. And you aren't rewarded for doing that well anyway because all your debt is paid off solely through the competitions. It's not like you can play super well and pay it off early.
having the money be from a competition instead of the recettear way of making the most you could was a really bad way to implement the story.
Yeah. Competitions should have served as a last ditch way to make your payments, or maybe get some really good ingredients, but overall it should have just hinged on your ability to be a good salesman as well as a chemist. Just have Sylvia have a weekly payment she needs to make and let us as players figure out how best to achieve it.
I use Roxanne's cards because she gave them to me and she is my girlfriend.
I WANNA FRICK ROXANNE AND HAVE A POTION SHOP IT'S NOT FAAAAAAAAAAAAIR
The best part is Roxanne literally lives in your basement. I want to be Sylvie so fricking bad to just force my succubus wiener sleeve in my sex dungeon basement to drink potions that force her to cum
BDSM dungeon in basement mod soon bros
>tfw you will never be a fantasy alchemist/potion seller, living in a simple village and turning frogs and bats and shit into pain medication and herbal tea for the grateful townsfolk
This but also while being a cute girl.
Just use a genderswap potion to finally become a woman.
I would love to see you get above 70% on one turn my guy.
The point of the strategy is to go long when no one tries to stress you but end fast with solid profit when they do.
just eat the stress and keep going, where is your capitalism spirit.
if you use 1-2 copies of regulated breathing you can regularry eat 6-7 stress every turn and heal it.
the deal must keep going so you can make more money
I'm gonna say Luna only because I don't like getting her as a customer.
>female protagonist
It really does feel like every single game released in the past few years is made with trans people in mind
>trans people in mind
In yours, all the time.
I don't want to play as a lesbian.
I don't want to play as a lesbian.
FRICK YOU I'm not going to play as a lesbian.
I was told I didn't have to romance anyone, she's just a bi bawd into everyone? I don't like how every third character is "San Francisco black" which is to say they have dark skin but have exaggerated features which make them fake black like blue eyes or straight hair, or ridiculous rainbow colored hair. I hate the little animations for the characters, the smirks and shit, a lot of the dialog I see, it just looks like woke shit.
And this is official art they released to "celebrate pride month". Frick this.
meds
Cool, those are valid reasons to not want to play it, so don't. I still enjoy it regardless.
So stop whining and frick the walrus guy.
i played this game thinking i was going to frick every girl and have my yuri harem but by the end of the first week baptiste and muktuk were my bros while every girl was a fricking tumbler self insert, they made me give up on the yuri end
by the end i have to make a choice and end up fricking muktuk
How long does it take to beat?
Took me a little over 17 hours with no restarts. I assume if you have issues you'd probably get roughly 20 hours for one playthrough.
That's actually really nice. I thought it was going to take 4-6 hours at max. Thanks anon.
im at hour 23 and at the end of the game, didn't finish it yet because the blue hair girl is bugged and i can't finish her social link
I like card shit and making money but I don't give a shit at all about dating sim crap. Will this be fun?
You can just skip through all the dialogue for the romance shit. It's like persona, you just gift people shit and do little events to up their rank and they give you their cards.
>It's like Persona
Well thanks for saving me some money.
I'm saying the "romance" mechanics are similar to Persona. I'm not saying the game is similar to Persona.
Am I moronic or is gardening basically useless beyond just quickly getting a second ingredient?
I used it once after unlocking it and then never touched it again. Feels like such a waste of materials when you can just dump them into Quinn and buy them all on sale.
Gardening doubles ingredients you put in there. So even if you feed it nothing, you'll get get at least two of what you put in for free. I just put in the mana ores and let it run.
At least one I mean.
>buying stuff when you can give your item to a slime and get 7 copies for free whithout using time
If you need a bunch of small ingredients you can feed a huge expensive one in, but it's still useless when Quinn sells everything you need.
you can chose 5 good materials and duplicate then into 15 copies of each in a day, more if you want.
its really good if you know how to use it.
As a loose example:
>Feed Red (A) Slime a Red ingredient
>It now has a certain magic threshold required to duplicate the item beyond just an extra
>Buy a lot of cheap ingredients that are also Red magic
>Feed them to the slime for DOUBLE the magic threshhold
>This gets you tons of extra items
Slap in a high end Ore, then fill the slime with cheap stomach-ache squids and get tons of stuff.
>second tournament
>won both rounds without even haggling
well that was underwhelming
Just realize that the characters get happy or sad depending on if you brewed a flawed or great view. Wish you could move the menu to see the animations.
>Look of your shop doesn't affect the kind of customers
>Shop doesn't let you sort materials
>Heroes don't gain EXP when they go out
>Can't upgrade cauldrons/shelves unless you unequip them
These are really my only complains tbh.
>Heroes don't gain EXP when they go out
They actually do and you can even see how much they'll get as their bar fills out in the "trial" run in green. But there's a cap per week and I don't understand what it's related to.
I've sent that brown b***h out pretty much twice a day since I unlocked her and she's still level 8. I must be doing something wrong.
Yeah I'm not sure what affects it. Once you beat a new boss, try to send one out for the first time and see if their exp bar moves.
>Shop doesn't let you sort materials
>Can't upgrade cauldrons/shelves unless you unequip them
I really don't get how this got through into the final game. It's less of a missing quality of life feature and more of something that's been standard for years in similar games.
whomstever made the characters def has an armpit fetish
takes one to know one
>slime day
>adventurers kill a lot of slimes so the supply goes up
>prices RISE
uninstalled and refunded
Is this game good? I haven't seen too much of it
I wish the bosses inflicted more negatives to you. The game makes a big deal out of the Shark guy using lawyers to ban you from selling potions, and all that happened was for two days I couldn't sell cures.
i wish i have to do the boss fights, didn't any of then aside from the last one and i only did it because after making a maxed potion for the third round i decided to not use the final cauldron again so at least the final boss would get a fight.
I'm on week 3, is there any reason you'd want a third cauldron?
I like to have extra cauldrons pumping on Mana and Health potions for the adventurers since I sent them out maybe four times in a day.
i got the basement one after having more money that i could use, as for shelf i got the third one after making sure stress was not a problem anymore.
no real use for a four on anything.
Do you get more points for giving a more expensive/gold item gift give more interest points, or is it all the same as long as it's the category they like?
The more magimins, the happier they are apparently. So give them the most expensive in the category they like, or just farm Pure Mana.
The game says the more magimins the gift have the more points you get, but I think it's more important if you gift rarer materials? I gave rare flowers to the guild leader that I got from the first adventure areas and I got him to rank 10 before the 1st tournament, while I've been giving gifts to Quinn and I'm still not close to getting him to rank 10 and I'm currently on the 3rd tournament. Unless he's just way easier to please than Quinn.
Maybe it's a mix of both. The Guild Leader's favorite gift are flowers, so it might be the combo of magimins and gift type.
Now if only I could organize my inventory according to magmins or type or ANYTHING
The organization QoL is really lacking. We need to be able to sort by type, rarity, exclude magmin types we don't want, and that shit needs to be in the store and garden ASAP as well. I don't know how they could not include it.
>they don't remember the exact pick order of the ingredients they bought
seriously though it'd be literally ten minutes of code to sort by magimin type, then by magimin quantity, i have no idea why they thought FIFO was the best way to represent that shit
>Hand in every ingredient I can to Quinn
>His box is now 16 pages of ingredients with no way to sort
I am in hell.
hope you remembered which of those slimes was the one that's 40 C and which one was 8A 4E, and which page was on both :^)
Who else waiting for the patch to actually play the game?
I started got to end of week 1 fight and got stuck on boss. Really don't wanna restart the game and deal with its slow VN text bullshit and loads of unnecessary load screens.
There was literally a patch earlier today that nerfed all the bosses.
Are you saying you need more?
I just realized I'm moronic. I was waiting for the game to update on my PC to confirm game patched.
I forgot the game was downloaded on my Steam Deck and has to patch there.
man she became a lot less gremlin-y in the final product
kinda wish there was an option to keep the cape, but that probably interfered with a bunch of animations
Sylvia getting stretched by thick but short Walrus wiener
This game is too hard, I'm stuck.
Because I can't chose between Roxanne and Mint.
3D Roxanne > 3D Mint but 2D Mint > all
What happens if I just throw the tournament?
Game over.
>the slow pan in as the dumb cat pirate recounts his backstory
kind of a cheap laugh but you got me
>luna's theme
>Can't sell my old cauldrons
Frick you you israeli Walrus. You give me an order for the highest quality potions because you know I'll have to come to you.
our boy plays the potion game, pic unrel
