this is true as well. Wired and playstation driver will make you wish for death. the gaystation tards implemented a lot of the meme features like the gyro as sound cards for some reason and plugging in your controller will unironically make the experience more painful than just using the neutered bt only features (the other features only work on PS4/5).

fake. XP is when M$ hired software homosexuals that weren't mentally moronic and they started taking bug reports and crashes seriously. shamefully, they still had to cater to the broken NTisms of their past, but that's winshit in a nutshell, much like how Linux carries a lot of the same sins of UNIX.

My PC doesn't have Bluetooth and I built it just 2 years ago. Admittedly I cheaped out on the motherboard a bit, but it's more than capable of running any game.
The important thing about having an official adapter is that it allows you to use all the features of the controller. The headphone jack doesn't work over Bluetooth on a Dualshock 4, but it does with the official adapter. Haptics (and the mic/headphone jack) don't work on the Dualsense over Bluetooth, but they would with an official adapter. Input latency is lower too.

You can just add a bluetooth dongle for it to be bluetooth capable, did that with my other pc & it held me over till I upgraded to a new pc with built in bluetooth

              Anonymous

Yeah, but I don't have any reason to add Bluetooth when I have the official DualShock 4 adapter which is the better option for the Dualshock 4.
It's the only Bluetooth device I own, well except for my phone I guess.
I use the headphone jack on the DS4 all the time, and won't consider getting a Dualsense until I can do the same thing with it.

It genuinely pisses me off that Sony haven't bothered releasing an official dongle or made some deal with Microsoft to make Dualsense fully work with PC.
It sounds like a gimmick if you haven't experienced it but haptic feedback and adaptive triggers and having sounds come through the controller is absolutely game changing. It does absolute wonders for immersion. Dualsense really just needs to become an industry standard.

Astroturfed chinkshit garbage just like everything from 8BitDo. Keeps getting shilled for having the meme Hall effect sticks, but the one part that'll definitely die first, the battery, is non-user replaceable. It's really telling that not a single chinkshit company shat out a controller that has both Hall effect sticks and Xbox style user replaceable AA batteries.

        Anonymous

They're as replaceable, if not easier than the Dual Shock 3/4, Dual Sense and Xbox Elite 2. Ideally having a battery pack in a slot where AA batteries fit would be the best, but you can literally swap the battery out by unscrewing the back with minimal effort.

          Anonymous

And how's the availability of those batteries? How many people will bother opening up their controller and sourcing a replacement? This shit is planned obsolescence by design so that something fails and people just buy a new one. If Microsoft managed to give people AA batts withe X360 and XBO, then so can some chink manufacturer. But then they'd be selling shit that doesn't break, and that's not a good business model.

DualShock 4 is only usable via bluetooth, because if you use a USB cable it's inevitable that it will start having connection problems. I thought it wouldn't happen to me because I take care of my things, but after about a year of using the controller, it started disconnecting itself while I was playing, ridiculous.
In this case, it's not enough to just use bluetooth, you'll need an alternative way to recharge the controller because its battery life is minuscule (I don't know what Sony does differently for its controllers not to last 15% of the time that rivals do) and the micro-USB will fail during recharge. Preferably you'll have to buy a base that recharges through the port under the controller.

      Anonymous

Seconding this, I currently don't play two of some of my favorite games (dirt rally 2 and project diva) because I fell victim to my DS4 finally having connection issues. Considering buying a bluetooth dongle but I feel like the delay will just be unplayable at least in a rhythm game.

        Anonymous

I mean, it's not so much the delay, as it is the fluctuations.
The DS4 wired on PC runs at a much lower frequency compared to wireless, so it actually has more delay.
So if you get a good bluetooth connection, it's actually more responsive.
You can even overclock it to 8000Hz if you're insane.

The Steam controller is shit. The touchpad's not a bad idea, but not having two joysticks makes it crap for most controller games.
