PC. Underrated game that gets hate because people are unironically too stupid to beat the first level and think the entire game is throwing snowballs at turkeys
They should mod this game. Just one fix! I entire gb of them trash talking from the many episodes so they can stop repeating the same thing over and over. With so many insults they say it would be something new everytime they kill an enemy. This should had been PC only. I like it but damn say something else!
Obviously didn't buy this game only to play a Turok clone I want to laugh also
Admittedly it is impressively big for a 5th gen racer, but it quickly shows its age considering it was released when SP was getting rid of Mephesto and replacing Pip with Butters
>look
That's just the thing. Graphics-wise the N64 port has always been known to be alright.
However, the worse controls, as well as the compromised audio and missing video footage which are both integral to skate culture, makes it the poor alternative to the other versions.
This is why emulation is awesome. Full 3D PS1 games look amazing with PGXP, and often their assets and draw range work perfectly with 4K widescreen. It's a no-compromise solution.
N64 by far
PS1 version got heavily watered down
I played the PC version but it made the enemies way too bullet-spongy and I could not defeat the final boss on that version as I ran out of ammo damn fast and the robot could kill you in 3 hits.
Picrel is the best South park game there is if you played it with your bros on the couch. Simple but actually feels like early South Park and not like typical licensed shit
Revisiting this dispapointed me because I always thought it asks questions related to the show, but instead it's literally just random real world questions?
Still fun on N64 without the loading times

Anyone got Chef's Luv Shack to work on Win 7 - 10?
mang what are you talkin about
https://www.romhacking.net/
there's like 500 patches on this site alone, a new one on the front page rn
Until very recently barely anyone had a flashcart, and not even every system has one
I still think this game could have been decent but it has ATROCIOUS level design.
Like, possibly a contender for worst level design ever made. The games god good voice lines, unique and identifiable textures, the character models are fine, the multiplayer is cool, the weapons are functional. The music is actually fun.
It's honestly just the levels themselves are so fricking shit and empty it drags the entire game down. It's obvious they either ran out of time, or had no time to begin with to design them.
I honestly wish there was a level editor of some sort then maybe we could try and design something to the games strengths and make some sort of maps that could reach the games potential.
Its crazy weird going back to this game now that South Park has evolved well past its season 1 personality. This game and Stick of Truth may as well be based on completely different shows. I don't even think The Simpsons changed this much.
i played this game on n64, boring as frickkkkkk. its just throwing snowballs at turkeys like a gay. and its just boring in general. worst 20$ spent at blockbuster
N64 is main release and the most polished. The controls work suprisingly good too.
PC is a later revision, with much better performance, but awfully unbalanced. They seem to have x2 or x3 enemy health but didn’t balance anything else around it, ammo is never enough.
PS1 seems to be a watered waaaay down port of the PC version? Probably outsourced? By far the worst. But probably worth trying as a curiosity
South Park Rally had fun and unusual ideas for its gimmicks. I loved it that it wasn’t just races. If only the difficulty was more accesible (either that or let you select stages instead of going at them linearly), and if more characters were available from the start, maybe more people would’ve tried it past the first race and gave the rest of the stage a chance. Despite being cheap and unpolished, it was very fun.
kek nostalgia glasses.
season 1: toilet humor extravaganza
season 2: written by comedy central writers and other israelites
season 3: made along with the bigger, longer and uncut making this season seem hideously forced
season 4: first actual good one
Season 3 had the Chinpokomon episode though which is probably the first step the show took into evolving into its current form. Its probably the earliest episode that still holds up.
he's talking about a brief period when South Park was more plotwise pun filled by the quirks of their own town, even with a few gags related to the era and now all episodes revolve around mocking pop culture, and all fads, religions and mostly focus on that instead, giving it a kind of not so soul vibe

I was watching seasons 16-20 with friends a while back and aside from some good moments the plot kind of each episode felt like one big facebook meme. At least the toilet humor had soul
My half brother is a few years older than me and he swears on his life South Park N64 isn't complete shit
I guess you had to be a specific age to get it
As a kid I had a burned copy that had all three South Park games on it, selectable from a menu in the beginning. I always thought it was an official release but apparently not. Some pirate managed to fit all three in just 700mb. I wonder how small these games are.
NEITHER
fpbp game's trash. my parents bought me an N64 just for this game and i felt terrible.
PC. Underrated game that gets hate because people are unironically too stupid to beat the first level and think the entire game is throwing snowballs at turkeys
>and think the entire game is throwing snowballs at turkeys
I've beaten the game. 85% of the game is throwing snowballs at turkeys.
The entire game is throwing snowballs at whichever one out of the 5 enemies the game put in that chapter.
I think its an alright horde-shooter, gets way too much hate honestly.
If it had co-op it would have been awesome.
more like dodgeballs, sniper eggs or terrance/phillip dolls.
there's way more weapons than snowballs
nerf gun
terrance and philip dolls
plunger gun
cow launcher
warp ray

I'd rather see a mod of South Park Rally that replaces all its outdated characters with ones like Butters, Jimmy etc.
The original lineup is such a cool time capsule.
Admittedly it is impressively big for a 5th gen racer, but it quickly shows its age considering it was released when SP was getting rid of Mephesto and replacing Pip with Butters
Soundtrack to SPR is great.
PS1 version is peak comfy shit game, love the muffled audio and fogged out draw distance.
lol was going to say this, it's oddly comforting
the consensus is always psx for 5th gen multiplats.
That's not true, even though 80% of multiplat games were literally tailored to PS1. There's always pros and cons
>that PSX slowdown every time he's in the air
kek
Dramatic slow-motion.
Dammit playstation
Trucks aren't supposed to breathe
the truck is running, so PS1 is more accurate.
>the truck is running
>so all of it should be wobbling in a horrifying nightmarish bad shrooms experience manner
touch grass
Stop being this antsy about a 30 year old video game lol
stop being moronic, frick you
k i mowed my lawn and the truck is still running what now
Playstation 1 won
No one cares console warrior gay

This dude telling people to go outside while getting assblasted over a 30 year old console war
>Following in the footsteps of Transformers, Knight Rider, and Carrie Sony decided to anthropomorphize vehicles.
Based.
This video is fantastic. Thank frick. The amount of shitposting over the N64 version for YEARS and look at this.
You can say the same about most multiplat games that people like to pretend are le terrible on N64. Resident Evil 2 also has great advantages on N64
>look

Eh, I still prefer the sharper look on PS1. What's worse is that it bleeds more frames than N64, even in smaller rooms
But people ALWAYS shitpost that N64 is 20fps when performance is far better here than on ps1
People really overhyping what the blood and uncensored music brought to the table.
This is why emulation is awesome. Full 3D PS1 games look amazing with PGXP, and often their assets and draw range work perfectly with 4K widescreen. It's a no-compromise solution.
Frick that, warped textures or bust. I will never, ever use any enhancements or filters.
Well then you're already well served
Good for you, autismo.
>shadow gets bigger when model is closer to the lamp
damn, i thought that was so next gen shit
Sometimes I forget how good the PS1 actually looked. Dayum.
genuinely spoken like someone who hasn't played both versions of South Park
Usually true but not always, and this is one of those times. PS1 South Park is one of the worst games I’ve ever played. N64 South Park is merely bad.
Not Space Station Silicon Valley
Fricking moron. This game was developed on the Turok engine. It ran like shit on PS1
Not for 3DO like the Army Men and Battle Tanx games. Also Rayman 2. Those were miles better on N64.
this is true, I owned a psx between 1997 and 2002
2D and Technosoft games on Saturn say otherwise
N64 by far
PS1 version got heavily watered down

yeah Luv Shack is honestly mid. they tried to make a good game.

This board is made up entirely of zoomers
Revisiting this dispapointed me because I always thought it asks questions related to the show, but instead it's literally just random real world questions?
Still fun on N64 without the loading times
I took one look at this game at blockbuster and knew it was shit without even renting or playing it
Well it's not shit at all, especially if you have irl friends who also love early South Park
Anyone got Chef's Luv Shack to work on Win 7 - 10?
Until very recently barely anyone had a flashcart, and not even every system has one
>Until very recently barely anyone had a flashcart
Flashcarts have been around for 20+ years. Take the loss and come back later
>BARELY ANYONE
You've barley been alive for 20 years. How the frick would you know what we were buying back then? Zoom along zoomie
The n64 version is better, almost all of akklaims multiplats are better on n64
Why did he do it?
1. Aliens
2. Toys
3. morons

start by just reskinning a Turok game
because that’s essentially what South Park is, a poorly made Turok clone
it has the same level design as the first turok, since it was made by the same people
PS1 version is interesting just for Turok engine on PS1.
This was always most popular on N64 though. Any multiplat FPS was always more popular on N64.
They are both pic related
Was this game actually made for the PS1, or for N64?
It was made for the N64 then ported to the PS1. The PS1's FMVs are recorded N64 footage.
It was shit on every platform.
>console tards as always fighting over ports when you can just take the better PC version
>underage moron doesn't know that PC wasn't always the better option for multiplats
>moron thinks games cant be patched to perfection unlike console shit
Your zoomzoom is showing
>buzzwords/namecalling
again the consoletards can't understand the much more than they vs them mindest
>namecalling
>says consoletards
console games can be patched too though
only since 7th (and some in 6th) gen, if something is broken you can't fix it

Are you playing the pc version on a modern pc? Enemy health could be tied to the cpu and yours is too powerful.
Holy shit that would be a hilarious concept for gaming. The difficulty ties directly to your graphics card lawl.
If you play Mechwarrior 2 Titanium Edition on modern hardware you can't overheat because it's tied to cpu speed.

First four seasons of South Park are the best.
It's hard to say when it stopped being good, I'd say somewhere between 5 and 12
kek nostalgia glasses.

south park was only ever good when it was it's own self contained world and not just referencing current events
so... never?

GOBBLEGOBBLEGOBBLE
the underlying mechanics aren't bad, but jesus is this game tedious
