buddy there is more than just resolution to a game. Did you know that? Like framerate for example or the quality of shadows and reflections, ray tracing and stuff. Several games on the PS4 Pro are 4k. That don't mean shit.

Exactly none of the videos re 4k on the ps4 pro because ps4 pro is a 2k machine. The one x was 4k but everything was always 2k upscale to 4k. Even the series x is doing the same shit. Consoles will never be able to game a true 4k because it's too vram intensive and the hardware that can do it would increase console prices by over $1000.

If games are already running at 4k/30 and 1440p/60 on base PS5 hardware I fail to see any reason people would actually want this.
Some games even offer 4k/40 and 1080p/120 modes, anyone who actually needs more should be getting PC hardware anyway.
There are games that only offer single a 30fps mode. Those would benefit from the stronger GPU a Pro mode would in theory provide.

They already have problems to get the Activision deal trough. If they try to buy any more big studios both the US and EU would stop them.
They'll only have problems if they buy another American publisher. They can still buy in Europe (e.g. CDPR) or Japan without consequence because they hold such little marketshare in these regions and none of these publishers have any games like CoD which Sony can claim to be reliant on (best selling game on PS annually). That's why they're getting ABK out of the way first. If they bought all their other targets first it would have caused the ABK deal to be blocked by now.

However FTC will default with the CMA's regulations and will take whatever concessions they manage to get out Microsoft.
Sony's best hope is that a 3rd party regulates CoD to be on par with Xbox Game Pass with day 1 PSN+ which is likely and good for for their services.

It does do 4k gaming, it just doesn't do it at high framerates. Something like Uncharted's Lost Legacy series will do native 4k/40fps and there is an uncapped version if you've got a HDMI 2.1 compliant TV/Monitor that will allow you to hit roughly 45-55fps. Most other games float around 30-40 at 4k, a pro would probably allow most games to run at a native 4k/60fps or allow for 1440p/120fps.
It was boasted at as 4k 60fps was it not? Unless that was always meant to be how PS4 titles ran on it.

The OG will get a price drop if you want that, or you can get the big boy for the same price as you'd pay for the OG right now. Between stock shortages for years, scalper prices, no games to play, PS4 games still perfectly playable, everything cross gen released, why would you not wait for the PS5 Pro, unless you like to waste money.

They launched the digital only PSP Go 14 years ago. That said, they're not even pushing for a digital only future themselves, we're at a point where around 70% of all game sales are digital copies with the last 30% being physical.
Why do we need Pro versions of these consoles? Weren't the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X exceptions because the launch PS4 and Xbone were underpowered at launch and Sony and Microsoft wanted to meme their way to the new buzzword that was 4K but they knew they couldnt release the actual new consoles until 7 years after the originals released? Most console generations we've only seen slim models at least as far as xbox and PlayStation are concerned. what would the Pros even achieve, "8K"? The current Series X and PS5 barely do native 4K
