Enjoy all of the diversity that SpaceSkyrim has to offer.

Skyrim’s success ruined Bethesda as a dev studio. What a horrible path for TES to have followed.

Bethesda became relevant with Morrowind, which also set it down the path of creating Skyrim. There is no world where Morrowind exists and Skyrim doesn't.

Skywind is going to bring the fire back in the modding community. All the skybabies will now be able to say they played Morrowind. All Morrowind projects will probably move over to it too. It's going to be great.

Consoles getting mods killed the modding community. The PC crowd were no longer special snowflakes so many modders packed up and left.

Source? Console mods are largely just ports of PC mods, they're just hangers-on that expand a modder's audience rather than compete with it. Anyone who sees console mods and decides modding now sucks seems hysterical and were likely to find some other stupid reason to be dramatic and quit.

                Anonymous

You should have seen the histrionics when consoles got mods. The modding community was full of elitists who announced they did not want their mods on an inferior platform.

The funniest thing is next to nobody mods the console versions. The most popular on Xbox is a lite version of console commands at around 5% and a drop off after that for the second most downloaded.
Being elitist against a group that barely knows you exist tickles me to no end.

                Anonymous

Now that I think about it, that really does make a lot of sense. Both modders and their audience get very elitist about the ability to mod games. Damn near every Bethesda thread you hear someone saying that the studio's entire success is solely due to modders.

                Anonymous

They are quite proud of being the only reason Bethesda is so successful. They are a humble lot .Did you know there are mods so good they have over 100 million unique downloads on nexxus? Yes mods are so good 70 million people have modded a game they don't have.

maybe for Skyrim but Fallout 4 mods on Xbox are great since hardly anything uses the script extender

                Anonymous

Skyrim has 5 gig available for mods on Xbox while Fallout had 2 gig available. It would appear Fallout modding is not as in demand on Xbox as Skyrim.I think years of elitist attitude from modders has poisoned it among fans who may have been interested in it on console.

Implying that a decade of gaming "needs saving" is moronic
There are shitty years, sure. 2012 was shit. 2019 was shit. The 2010s as a whole were fine, with or without elder scrolls. Same for the 2000s, ESPECIALLY for the 2000s in fact.
It's too early to call the 2020s as a whole a wash. 2022 was, in my opinion, one of the best years since 2017 and may end up being the best year for gaming this decade.

You guys remember playing Skyrim the first day, playing the into and doing your first dungeon being blown away. • 1 year ago

It wasn't that bad, it makes since geographically the ruins would have repeating architecture, as you would in greece, rome, china, american mcdonalds, everywhere. But each of these ruins usually had a unique or distinct enough layout, and had a story or secret behind it that made it fun to explore. Maybe 5 out of 100 felt truly copy/paste. Besides, the story I would give a C+ in skyrim if Morrowind is a A-. But no matter what, Skyrim had a lot of replayability and if you complain about it today and brag about dropping it, either you were somehow kinda filtered, or you dropped it after 400-1000 hrs of time you put in it. gays on this board are trying to revise history of how much of an impact Skyrim had in gaming. It might not have been the best Elder Scrolls, but it was one of the best well-rounded "Games" that deserves a top 10 place. Starfield might be a different story though.

They may at most consolidate the magic schools Maybe have it be a massive skill tree instead. I do see them focusing a TON on settlement building though. People seem to love that shit so we'll likely have Elder Scrolls 6 set in a province with a lot of unclaimed territory. This would mean Valenwood or Hammerfell. Leaning more towards Hammerfell as I do not see Bethesda ever doing a non human dominated province again. Way too hard to market.

I know in Fallout 76 you can now fast travel from interiors. I think the only prohibition on fast travel now is
1 You have to have visited the location prior
      2 Not while in combat.

Looks like fast travel is perfected so no more changes are neccessary.

        Anonymous

The rpg Colony Ship and Age of Decadence allow you to fast travel to any place at any time. While I don't think Bethesda will do that it's always an option too. I think in those two games the area has to be mentioned by an npc first though. But honestly I feel like companies are treating normalgays less like braindead morons and more consumers to buy dlc so VI may end up being more complicated instead. Just a little bit though.

I feel like that trend is ending as it makes all camps upset. Everyone just gets a generic dialogue vs a hand crafted one per sexuality. We'll probably get people b***hing about so and so not being gay or straight but that always happens anyway.

        Anonymous

This is a bit too far even for Bethesda. I think them removing weapons is not going to happen anymore. Hell we might even get spears back as Bethesda has had people moaning nonstop since Oblivion for it. ESO gays whine about it too. Not like they need to rush anymore either as Microsoft is their papa now too. Armor will probably be like that though yes. Can't speak for the perks as I haven't played many modern games recently but it'll follow the trends probably so probably something akin to Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring or something. Also they better fricking give us levitation back.

          Anonymous

Levitation seems like a fair possibility now that they're experimenting with designing areas for microgravity. It comes down to tone though, if they're intending to make another grounded fantasy jaunt with little in the way of high magic, they'll continue to keep it out.

It's a normal revolver, just with a rail on top. Probably inspired by mateba/chiappa since that's what basically every sci-fi revolver is made from. They've already shown the space p90 so now all we need is a Kriss vector to round out the stereotypical space guns.

The rail typically doesn't resemble another barrel. Your image is a prime example, whereas this

It does sorta look like that from this angle, also reminds me of the laser sight from Terminator.
I'm primarily going off of the silhouette in the HUD, we don't have a good enough profile shot otherwise. To me it looks like the top line in the silhouette is too far up to be connected to the cylinder as a barrel, but it'd be pretty damn cool if I was wrong and it's a 3 shot revolver that does stupid big damage.

ME Andromeda had a bad reputation and even it sold 5 million. Actual space games like NMS, Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous hover around 1-2 million but having the Bethesda brand and story focus rakes in the normies.
