I'm fine with the QTE's, it's just splitting every boss into multiple events takes me out of the fight. Story-driven gameplay is one thing, getting 3-5 checkpoints for every boss is too much. Especially when so much of the inbetween encounters feel like afterthoughts in comparison. Not to say they're awful but the game feels all over the place.
But then again it's Metal Gear so, par for the course.
MGR is a literal meme game, no one can explain why they like it without using memes or comparing it to other games. It was like this a decade ago as well.
1. Its funny
2. Music is great
3. It still looks really fun
4. Slashing people and cool robots into pieces is really fun
5. Combat has enough moves and mechanics to be interesting
My one and only complaint is that the camera sucks and I hate the sewer level
that's cool. I had to fight Sam like, 4 times till I got him. then the metal gear took 2 attempts. Armstrong was my favorite, but fuck he was hard. about 6 attempts till I got it.
sam was easy though
just tap the parry until his combo finishes then just do whatever
metal gear was fine outside of the bullshit laser
armstrong was bullshit with his unblockable area attack (THAT FLASHED RED MIND YOU) and buggy zandatsu debris

my issue was I couldn't parry that good in revengeance. in dark souls, no problem, but I need some time for mgr for some reason. same with the "stealth" sections.

it's style over substance
you can just mash light attack and the blocking windows are so forgiving it's not even funny

what's your opinion on the inflatable tube gorillas
Fighting several of them at once while fighting the camera actually made me said "I'm sorry but this is so bad" out loud
>camera
It's unacceptable. I spent several minutes in the options refusing to believe it wasn't something I could turn off or change.
You play as a badass cyborg ninja fighting for justice with a robot dog sidekick with a chainsaw for a tail
>VIOLENCE BREED VIOLENCE!
>BUT IN THE END, IT HAS TO BE THIS WAY!
>jank as fuck cutting sequence happens
>die instantly because the free cut didn't register correctly
sounds like a (you) problem.
>RULES OF NATURE!
I beat sundowner without breaking all of his shields and had to redo it just to see all his phases

Yes
games are a good thing if they contain giant robots and cyborg samurai
yes
>movie games are good if the movie is good
not entirely wrong
Not as good of a PG action game like Bayonetta and Transformers Devastation but worth a try.
