ummm persona 5 royal is so far and beyond the best jrpg ever made that games like arise should be embarrassed just for merely existing in the same universe alongside P5R

ngl i enjoyed P5 way more than Ariseshit and this comes from a SMTfag
Bandai Namco have stated they've been working on creating their own proprietary in-house engine to use for about 4 years now. Making a new Tales from scratch would take too long so I can only guess they have a smaller team crank out a release to bridge the gap while most of the code-monkeys are getting acclimated with the new tech.
I wonder how much longer we have to wait for Tales to switch to something other than Unreal Engine. Arise made it clear that the engine cant handle AI for enemies or party members.
they can't move forward and make another game with so little headway from this one. they are trying to at least reach their minimum profit goal with this expansion probably
game sucked so bad that by the end I turned it down to the easiest difficulty and let AI fight all the battles just so I could finish it off. this was shortly after the 2 hour lore dump
i played phantasia, destiny, eternia, symphonia, abyss, hearts r and berseria and was never reduced to doing that.
Its not even that its that bad, its just that everything dragged on for way too fucking long, by the end of it i was fucking sick of the combat even though that was what drew me in.
I ended up stopping because of the combat. On a base level, it doesn't feel bad, it looks nice, but the enemy design just sucks. I can get not wanting people to stunlock and juggle bosses to death, but it feels horrible when the boss almost never reacts to anything you do. It just felt too stagnant, and it didn't help that they made upgrading characters feel slow and obnoxious.
Yep, all of the fun juggle abilities i used during open world i had to fucking unequip and replace with boring shit because the bosses refused to move an inch.
why not
because arise fucking sucked
Hyperbole. It was fine.
it really wasn't
Yes it was.
>shit combat
>shit story
>shit cast
>shit skits
it's far from fine

>They finally got married

>2 years after release
It's been 2 years already?
Really? But nothing has happened since then.
Trump was 7 years ago
Xenoverse 2 still gets DLCs and updates too
>le progression of time
>AAAAAAHHHHH! HELP ME!!!! I'M GOING INSANE BECAUSE I'VE BEEN MADE AWARE OF TIME!!
Can we get a Tales game with a decent cast and skits but with quality of Arise?
What quality?

I should really finish this game I got here and then just never played it again I don't know why
what about a new game though?
don't tell me they wasted all their time on this shit
remember the last chapters being absolute ass. massive slog.
Yeah hardest dip in a JRPG in awhile. Wouldn't mind quality DLC but if it's just a cash grab hard pass.
Lost interest and could never get back into it.

I will never understand Arise defenders
buyers remorse
I'll never understand people who think that games are either a 10/10 masterpiece or shit.
uh I dont see games that way but Arise is definitely shit
>worse than berseria
how did they do it with that budget
No Edna No Buy
