>Reaction speed improves by 100ms just by purchasing a better monitor

>Reaction speed improves by 100ms just by purchasing a better monitor
Do you now understand how meaningless this test is? Chances are everybody posting 250+ms is just using a really terrible bog standard 60hz monitor not intended for anything more than web browsing.

    >197ms average
Go to bed grandpa. Anyone under a 145ms average reaction time should give up gaming and pick up knitting.

30mg orally, XR. But it wore off for the day already. If I was well rested and medicated it is closer to 130ms.

36 year old boomer here @165hz
that was last try, best attempt was 157ms

34 year old boomer here, 4K 120Hz OLED. I get 153ms average over 5 tests of 5. Trick to reaction time is to not hyper focus on a single point. Lose focus and let your minds eye wander across the screen. You have a faster reaction to things just outside the center cone.of vision.

What matters most is brightness. Eyes and brain react faster when it's bright.

          This

your eyes have an easier time processing signals in bright light. crank up your monitor brightness and try again if your times suck ass

lmao there is no “best try”
your very first 5 attempts are your real reaction time.

Also boomer, struggling to go over 175ms. 300 is ridiculous, I had to literally wait to blink twice to even become that slow.

I went through 7 or 8 ips in last 2-3 years. It's doomed. Can't stand looking at them for longer than 30 mins.
