I truly never got why you would want this, does aerith´s death mean more to you if sephirot´s sword had a million more polygons now?

I would say its impossible for anyone to capture what you imagined.

Then you would need to make the game yourself.

But the original already showed to you the story, no need to imagine it

You're still doing that. There is not a single bit of originality in the new story. It's also moronic so far.
Remakes are trash, that money should have been spent creating a new world and game, not telling a Kingdom Hearts version of FF7.
But it's a good smokescreen, suddenly it's all about the shit story, and the game gets a free pass for having almost no level design. The console also gets the blame for the dogshit asset streaming system and lack of open areas despite being able to run RDR2 with no major issues.

OP here, the new story in FF7 is trash dont get me wrong. But its weird some people thought the solution was to make a 1:1 remake instead of telling a brand new story from the get go.

This new battle system is pretty sweet tho

That webm doesnt make any sense, you see the character blocking and moving, so at least a button was pressed and the stick was moved.

            Nope
It's all automatic, in the FF7 Remake easy mode
Even simple action like dodge, parry, or attack, is automatic in easy mode
Final Fantasy 7 remake gameplay sucks

The dont play on easy mode, what a moronic argument.

                The argument is still stand.
And, if we add the atrocious time-ghost plot made by Nomura....
We obtain the atrocious shit that is FF7R

If i play on normal or hard, how does your argument still stand moron?

Yeah, I like it too. It made the game worth playing and I'll check the sequel as well. But good lord what a waste of time to keep the team that came up with this combat busy for 10 years on a fricking remake.

I dont hate changing the story slightly or expanding it or introducing new shit. I hate alternate dimension time travel bullshit.

Exactly, remakes just gives us the worst of both worlds.

We either dont get a new story so its just a redundant game and a waste of talent.

Or we kinda get a new story that is shackled to the original one, which makes autists mad that they changed stuff, while people like me get mad they didnt change enough.

Its the rebuild of evangelion all over again. Talent wasted for a fricking decade on a product no one needed.

For play the the original FF7 story with an acceptable graphics. Instead of huge poly models.
But for Nomura it was a useless task...
So now Nomura shills think the same thing
Just a shit milking marketing move

Replaying all the remakes of the old FFs on PS was great. So I hoped for the same, or maybe even a better experience with the FF7 remake.

I don't mind them taking liberties, visiting Jessie's family for example was great just as the battle system was serviceable. But they had to add fanfic tier writing about fate, destiny and multiple timelines that only the most common of schmock finds pleasure in, and that's not even criticising the presentation of those changes.

Not like it matters. FF7R is a sequel, not a remake.

The original script isn't very sophisticated and the technology of the time was limiting.

What we got was only slightly more natural sounding dialogue that didn't end up elevating the script at all and an uglier game than the original. All of which is deprived of any of the theming and emotion that made me love the game on PS1. But to be honest I didn't want a 1:1 remake, I didn't want a remake at all.

the point of a REMAKE, especially of old games, is to make them playable on new hardware/OS with better controls. New visuals are a nice bonus.
The fact is most old game look and play like shit or cant even run on new hardware. The gameplay of old games is still there so dont change whats not broken.
