just got it running on my steam deck
haven't played a pokemon since x&y and don't pay attention to the franchise at all, what's the consensus?

It's a unique experience. 8/10 for Pokemon fans
Best 'mon game in a while. Could have been better though.
Best Pokémon game, but after playing SV, it inevitably feels like a beta test for it. SV could have been the absolute best for me if they had kept overworld catching and the battle animation style.
so SV or arceus is better?
i'm digging the feudal japan setting and the fact that people in this world don't really know much about pokemon
the arceus cell phone thing is gay tho
That's meiji restoration Era not feudal
SV is way better. PLA takes the tedium of Pokémon to a whole new level.
It's pretty great for what it is but not a replacement for more battle-focused titles.
best game since hgss
ignore all scat/vomit shills who will soon enter this thread en masse
have fun
how was the seeding for this? random or by a particular metric? B&W losing to R&B in the first round would have been crazy to see had it been seeded by sales but then again how would we know the sales of S&V
Stfu
Hate that dusty game
>just got it running on my steam deck
you can do that?
yeah just get Yuzu
Its pretty good ngl, the only downside is when you beat the story there is very little to do except shiny hunt and finish the pokedex (In PLA you have to do shit like catch a Pokemon 25 time or use a move 40 time) and it becomes boring, still a pretty good game tho
I personally really love the game, it's been almost a year later, and I've already played through it twice and I still play it all the time. I probably love it mostly because gen 4 was my childhood generation, but there's just so many little things about the game that I love. I really hope we get another Legends game someday, it's honestly my favorite 3D mainline Pokemon game, I don't often revisit the 3D Pokemon games, but this feels like one I can sxee myself replaying a lot, I already want to do a 3rd playthrough of the story.
Mostly positive because people have shit taste.
It's the only fun you will get from an individual pokemon experience for the rest of your life. If you fail to understand this after playing either stop playing pokemon altogether or only ever buy pokemon games since its the only thing you deserve.
>just got it running on my steam deck
Just fricking play it and form your opinion then. You're not even paying for the game, why do you need someone else to tell you if you'll like it?
Like all pokémon games since gen7, it has way too much unskippable dialogue, especially in the beginning. Still one of the best pokémon games ever.
>since gen7
Gen 5*
It's a breath of fresh air and I really enjoyed it. Really feels like it gets back to the roots where pokemon are mysterious, dangerous creatures.
Keep in mind that all redditfrog threads are spam and you should report them.
It's an awful VN filled with shit gameplay, but it was something new and unique at the time so contrarians love to latch onto it as if it was le hidden gem or something.
You should play it to completion yourself first and see what you think of it because asking others who will then heavily influence your opinion instead.
>she went through the effort to emulate but still needs /vp/ to tell her what to think
Just play the game
