It's the generic controller shape now, the same slop as every other controller. Headphone jack is shit and will break with moderate use. Adaptive triggers are pretty cool but have a high fail rate.
The stuff specific to it like the lights are a gimmick, and the big touchpad is kinda awkwardly placed but I guess it's better than the Vita which had a touchpad on the back. As a controller it's fine.
I have both series x/s controller and Dual Sense and I prefer xbox one simply because it has a much better clicky d-pad and overall more tactile buttons.
DS d-pad feels very mushy compared to x series to me. If you don't care about d-pad you can go either way honestly. Can't believe that MS actually lifted their d-pad curse.
Probably the most fully featured gamepad that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Got gyro, analog triggers and a very useful touchpad. Adaptive triggers can also be setup as dual-stage triggers if you use software that supports setting them up manually.
Why is the battery life on this thing so shit? Switch pro controller and the xbox elite controller can easily go a full week without needing to recharge but with the dual sense I have to plug it in every other day.
Probably a culmination of a lot of stuff- haptic triggers, touchpad, lightbar, built-in mic, they just crammed too much into it
Nonsense. The main reason is the polling rate of 500Hz. Other controllers are like 60-125Hz. No shit the battery drains faster if you send out 4-8 times as many packets.
no one on this board cares and even then they're stupid enough to buy sony shit
that alone should tell you enough
there's third party shit that does pretty much everything that snoy station controllers do besides the meme shit but better
you battery life complainers have to be literal microsoft shills. its completely fine if you arent an unemployed neckbeard playing games for 12 hours straight
It works just fine via bluetooth and you don't need to mod shit. Just map it via Steam Input or some other software. I use the motion controls and touchpad an absolute fuckton.
Why are you so mad about a controller having features you don't care for anyway? If you're on PC just buy a different one that's has a more basic feature set and call it a day. The only ones that have any reason to be mad about controllers are consolefags because they don't have much choice but that's a grave they dug themselves.

What, the adaptive triggers? I don't care for those too much. They have been useful a few times though as they can act as dual-stage triggers like on the Steam Controller and Gamecube.
The main reason I got a Dualsense Was that my old DS4 crapped out after like 8 years and I wanted feature parity with that.

does it give you a battery warning on PC? unless I'm doing anything wrong I can't believe how bad is the battery checking part on W11, my controller just dies so I decided to use my Xbox controller wired.

Don't think it does. But I never really play for hours on end anymore so I haven't actually run into it. I just plug it in when I stop playing.
I'd suppose that could be software dependent though. I'm sure there's some mapping software that can make it flash the LEDs or something. I just use Steam.
Best aesthetic
Most comfortable
Best features (excluding hall effect sensors, sadly)
Best stick placement
Same fail rate as other controllers this gen
Gimmicks are actually nice
I was using the xbox one controller before dual sense. he xbox was fucking ass, alwaysh aving issues connecting to blue tooth and the micro usb port on it was recessed into the controller so the micro usb would pop out if I didnt hold it proerly. Never had a problem with the bluetooth on this, and the battery life is honestly fine. Just charge it every other night and you will never have a problem. Youll have to get used to the stick placements but aside from that its quality is pretty much on par with the xbox controllers except in my case its been much easier to connect with bluetooth than my xbox controller.
unusually high stick drift rate compared to xbox controllers or even previous playstation controllers.
i have gone through two ps5 controllers due to one of the sticks drifting, one i was able to get good mileage out of despite this as it was the left stick but the other i couldn't deal with as it was the right stick so the camera in games would slowly pan at all times.
as a result i bit the bullet and bought a Dualsense Edge controller so if i continue to have stick issues i can just casually replace the one that is acting up.
Honestly the best playstation controller I've used, personally. The weight, the triggers, everything about it is near perfect, if the battery life wasn't so shit it'd be my favorite controller in general.
Best controller out there. The new vibration features are excellent when devs use them well (see Genshin for a great example.) Trigger pressure is very satisfying when used well. Gyro is good.
Haven't had any drift or problems with either of my controllers and I have hundreds of hours on both.

t. repair shop worker
good, the old ps3/4 controllers had shit ergonomics
The stuff specific to it like the lights are a gimmick, and the big touchpad is kinda awkwardly placed but I guess it's better than the Vita which had a touchpad on the back. As a controller it's fine.
your filthy Xisraelite hands don't deserve to touch it
It took a while for me to get used to the weight after having played on a PS4 controller before it.
It's better
just look at how you can get with gyro aim.

sony can't make anything good since the ps3
if it's like the dualshock 4, it's probably the touchpad taking up the battery

having no battery life in exchange for meme features no one but people who use a playstation is not a way to win consumers over
I use them on PC.
>permanently wired and having to mod games to even use it half the time
whatever you say you deluded fuck

Sorry but when two of my controllers get 40+ hours and one only gets 4 I'm going to notice, dumb snoy shill
dpad is a bit more recessed than i'd like
pretty comfy otherwise

For me it's the switch pro controller
It is a bit better than the ps4 which hurt my hands for some reason.

>dualsöy
about 500% more accurate sticks. but fuck the stick placement
Why do third party controllers never get the d pad right?

gyro alone makes it superior

I can’t stand the big button in the middle. Is the worst
It's silent
It has gyro
Low latency
However battery life sucks and over PC non-steam games are a bit annoying to work with
>silent
that shit's repulsive I wanna know that I actually pressed the button
So buy literally any other fucking controller
I like being able to mash buttons while other people are sleeping
Gyro
Speaker in the controller
Touchpad
Yeah I think I'll stick to my Xbox controller thanks
