>Xbox
Buy shit, get shit
>tfw 4TB SSD + 10TB HDD
feels so good not having to worry about storage.
Exactly. The HDD is for long term backup storage, and the SSD('s) are for daily use.
Perfect.
-
SSD's lose stored memory if they are not powered on for a certain amount of time.
Not a problem. I'm a NEET.
If the power goes out for a long time for some reason, or you have an issue with your other drive you will be thankful for an HDD backup.
Think ahead, even if you are NEET. Especially if you're NEET.
I am too, and if my files were suddenly compromised I would feel it. Kick in the balls with steel-toed boots kind of feeling.
>If the power goes out for a long time for some reason
moron an SSd has to lose power for YEARS for that to happen. You're more likely to just see thing crash.
Not like it matters if you're making external backups like a sane person.
It can be much shorter time period than that. Also, if for some reason the power cuts off for years, you're set.
>external backups
We are essentially talking about the same thing, minus the physical location.
It's fine to have storage in case too, but yeah. External backups are nice too. More convenient.
If he was capable of thinking ahead, he wouldn't be a NEET. Unless he was born to rich parents or hit it big on crypto in which case good for him.
>HDD
yeah no thanks i would rather not hear that shit
you put the hard drive box in another space, you don't store that much shit in your tower
half tera ssd is like 20-30 bucks at this point, 1 tera 50-60.
no excuses, upgrade your shit or suffer accordingly
my rig is from 2018 so i would get a new PC if i am going to swap my SSD
Not him, but why? I mean build a new PC if you want to, sure, but why not simply use your old hard drives and also buy new ones too?
Unless I misunderstood your message, just buy moar *and* keep the olde ones too.
he suggests me to get a new bigger SSD so i say if i am going to get a new SSD, i would just get a new PC but i dont have the money and time for the time being so id just wait a little longer for 5080 or something
Okay, well, you can buy a new SSD now for cheap and keep your old hard drive too. You can have many directories for games. I have 2 currently on my PC.
It's your choice, anon. Peace.
>so i say if i am going to get a new SSD, i would just get a new PC
why
just add a new one to your current computer
OP is a dumb zoomer that doesn't even know how to install a new drive, much less how to use the SATA and PSU Power cables to connect them. The fact that he even uses Xbox on PC should've tipped you off
it's weird to me with all the knowledge in the world at their fingertips no one searches or learns
are they even real?
You’d be surprised. Zoomers can download apps on phone but they suck at basic computer knowledge.
I am just too lazy to open up the case not to mention dragging those data cables out
thats not even old retard. just get a bigger ssd
Its frankly insulting that you recomend this dumbfuck get a new SSD upgrade over not using a shitty service.
You can change that in the settings panel.
skill issue
Are you intentionally being retarded? You can change where the games install to by using the settings
I just installed a 1tb ssd from my 120 gb ssd. Is there a way to transfer the files over? Everywhere i look says to use cloning software but my friends said cloning can be buggy and tedious. If i do a fresh instal of windows on the new one is there a way to just transfer my programs to that one and just use my old one for storage or something? I was also thinking of just getting a usb to create a back up and use that backup to transfer everything to the new ssd, then just delete the data on the old one.
You can traansfer *most* files by simplt copying them over. The trick is transferring your operating system, and, at that point I would suggest you simply reinstall it.
Your saves can be copied, so can video and image files.
The operating system is the hard part, *unless you reinstall.
>First connect the new blank drive and then boot into the windows install media
>Format and install the new disc
>Boot into Windows from new disc when prompted
>Use xcopy or robocopy to copy files from old HDD to new HDD, exlcude the Windows directory
>Wait 3-6 days for files to copy
>Remove/format old drive if needed
change the letter
Getting a little tight here. Most of this is my emulation folder.
>price mistake
>Forza 4+5 and all the dlc for $1
>happened to Fifa 22, they honored the price mistake
>Microsoft deactivated the game and fucking uninstalled it to all people that got it
Nice vidya "collection" you got there.
Symbolic Links.
>OP can't afford storage
What's on (H) and (I)?
Not familiar with those games/names
Magnezone and Typhlosion are pokemon
>5.49TB of Magnezone
>4.92TB of Typhlosion
Pr0n or WTF else? WHY???
WHY DO YOU HAVE THIS????
>having a meltdown because your furry brain can't fathom someone having a naming theme for their drives instead of just hording furry porn
It was a funpost. You project mad because you want to stroke your ego by trying to take power over them. Chill out lol
Why'd you name them that, then? Favorite pokemon?
8TB platters for mass storage needs.
Makes sense, but do you really have that much of one type of pokemans stored?
No no it's just what the drives are named, all of my storage devices are named so I know what is what when I use the hot swap drive bays in my PC case.
Are OP and other anons just fucking retarded?
Nah you're just fucking retarded.
Really? I've had that problem with a couple games but never the microsoft store
I kind of regret falling for the boot SSD + HDD meme
In any situation where install paths aren't configurable, use junctions
>He uses the MS store.
>Willingly
Skill issue.
I just use a 250 gb ssd, a 1tb internal and 3 tb external. Still not enough space
Xbox games force install on C drive
No?
bro what are you doing storage is cheap as dirt.
retard, update your shit
