Steam refunds and dumb reviewers. If you make your game hard people will throw tantrums and stop playing.

Most of those idiots are too dumb to figure out how to refund though

Katakana and hiragana are fine, kanjis can go frick themselves

Was there any movement from Japan to completely replace Kanji entirely with Hira and Kata? Also, aren't modern JPs don't really care or even know Kanjis?

Dawg they still have to learn the 5K kanjis to graduate from highschool so no.

they should just use latin/english letters, would solve every problem with the language, idk why asians cling so much to their unintelligible symbols, which they barely know themselves, or so I read/noticed.

        lol
        lmao
It takes a single wall of kana for any EOP to immediately change his mind about this moronic idea.

Getting rid of kanji would genuinely make Japanese harder

        enjoy your text without spaces
the true question one should be asking is when China gonna move to full pinyin
de-facto it already happened already -- most people struggle to actually draw actual characters and only know latin transcriptions

Eh, kanji are fine, different readings can frick right off.

This is the true reason. It's not like there's a shortage of kanji. I don't understand why japs needed to reuse kanji when you can make a new one in like 30 seconds.

They aren’t “reusing” kanji. It is the same word borrowed at different times (in the case of on’yomi), or using the native Japanese words for the same compound (if kun’yomi). They aren’t “reusing” the kanji just to make it complicated.

訓読み are fine, but a character having 3 different 音読み can frick right off.

If they stop using kanji, word spacing should become mandatory.

Control schemes peaked during late 5th gen to early 6th gen. Consequently games need to be made more moronic so that they are functional with 7th gen control schemes that demand that the player should control the camera at all times with the right analog stick.

I don't know why they bothered with hiragana and katakana. You still can't speak, read or write without the autistic kanji memorization. May as well just go full Mandarin

They had a literacy problem at the time, and they needed a fix that would work for a billion people and wouldn't require spending money they didn't have on upgrading every single school in the country

Funny how China tried to simplify writing even more in the 70's and it completely failed.

ngl games for kids where they only use kana and add spaces after particles is quite readable
if you can't read this its because you don't know japanese
