Most k-style movements are pressing 2 buttons with dashing. You were just a moronic kid, especially cause you can just rebind the controls to make it easier. I was able to figure all this out at 11. Did your mom breastfeed?

It was fun. I remember a hacker doing that infinite yellow power hit move hack and chasing me around the mansion map for like 10 minutes, they had a grudge against me but never got me because they couldn't lead.
I remember spending 3 months in the colosseum map training butterfly/double butterfly over the pits just to be good.
I don't feel like games now days have this sort of insane wacky play requirement to git gud but the game did evolve into pure glitch exploitation. GunZ 2 definitely wasn't the same, locking movements and attacks to a specific time is what killed the natural flow of the movement.
I still remember how to do all the moves in the game. I miss this game, along side Ragnarok Online.
You're exaggerating. It was a terrible sequel to Gunz but on its own it was a decent enough third person shooter, a genre that was pretty lacking at the time and is dominated entirely by a single game nowadays (Fortnite.)
Hunt plays nothing like it mate. In fact I can't think of a single game that does play close to it anymore. Speeding around, exploiting animations with a high skill cieling seems to be a dead genre now.
I guess Quake-type games are still around (Splitgate is a popular one I think?) but that's not jumping off walls doing butterfly and reflecting bullets.
It's sad, because honestly games like this where you felt accomplished being able to keep up in the high skill brackets which also gave you an advantage over most players kept me playing.
Nowadays like you say there just simply isn't anything like it. Whether a bad or good thing, it's quite depressing.

Maybe I expected too much from movement and fluidity. I'll admit it was ok,but the nostalgia factor they took out too much from what GunZ was imo.
