They also put out a statement that you shouldn't let any player whose character chooses to worship him play your games. There's a greater goddess of bestiality who's still fine, though.

Weakness and fragility are rewarded in today’s society.

A sane weak, sensitive person would be annoyed that they’re so weak and sensitive, and work to improve themselves. They want to be tougher, stronger individuals who can confront day-to-day life better.

An insane weak, sensitive person looks for other insane, weak, overly sensitive people to comfort themselves with. “Let’s me weak together!” “We’re in this together people!”

The former is hated, while the latter is seen as “strength”, like those insane people who think panic attacks can happen at any given moment.

In the off chance that this isn't bait, it is censorship whenever parts of a published work are deleted for the sake of someone's weak sensibilities. In this particular case, Folca's getting removed due to a sizeable portion of Paizo's current fans objecting to an accurate depiction of child abuse. Why might they object to an obviously evil act being associated with soul-eating monstrosities from the great beyond?

Folca. Minor Evil deity from Pathfinder (Golarion setting), it has strong implication of kidnapping children (hence being depicted with candy and sack). Paizo now realized that painting craddle snatcher as inherently Evil alienates part of their target audience so they quietly retconned him out of the lore.

So it's just a literal boogeyman? They exist and have always existed in literally every folklore on the planet, why would it start to be problematic now?

Because certain group of people reinforced association between kidnapping children and diddling them to the point where the company decided they need to ditch one out of fear of being associated with the other. Centuries of folklore traditions be damned, current day perception is what drives the sales.

Kinda, yeah. I'm not defending dumb shit, I'm just saying people living today are more likely to buy products catering to a life and concepts they know from their daily lives. Personally, I think we should fix this by again telling children stories of Mr. Sack Sodomizer who will put little Billy in his sack if Billy doesn't start behaving.

Not entirely, just until you next perform the obedience. However, until then you do lose all benefits from the obedience and from all feats and prestige classes that have it as prerequisite, and I'm pretty damn sure that all towns where you do perform that obedience will sent people to hunt you down for it. Then again, if someone really did make a pedo in my games he should already be prepared to have hard time.
