Keep in mind that this list doesn't indicate which games are better, just more replayable.

Elden ring would still be in the right place kek

I heavily disagree. Elden Ring is easily the most boring game to get through but it has the most items and stats in the game to play around with.
        It wins with sheer numbers.

Boring means that it doesn't have replay value (aka replayability).

Elden Ring is by far the most repayable. Takes less than 10 minutes to get Torrent and then you're free to go wherever you want, get whatever items you need and fight only the bosses you want to.

I don't have the game memorized and I refuse to use an online guide. I never had to use one for any of the other games, and I am not about to start now. Frick Elden Ring and its open world bullshit.

Why would you need a guide? Legacy Dungeons are massive setpieces. You can see entrances to mines on the map if you need smithing stones. If you want specific weapons that means you already knew they existed and should remember where you picked them up if you don't want to look it up.

Like I said, I don't have the location of items, gear, or upgrade material memorized. I literally explored everything in my first and only playthrough. There is simply too much filler content to even begin to remember were important stuff is. As a result, I find the idea of playing this game again to be overwhelmingly exhausting.

What do you mean by "important stuff". What do you typically do when you replay any other Souls game? Do you have a specific build in mind? Do you just want to fight the bosses again?

In the other games I just grab everything, the levels are designed that you can do so easily and still progress the game. This is where Elden Ring fails hard, loot is scatter all over the place and the majority of it is worthless junk (aka crafting materials).

Thank you, I appreciate the support. It is nice to know that others understand the problem with Elden Ring's design.

You still progress in Elden Ring while picking up items. You still have to know where specific items are in Dark Souls if you want to pick them up. You're also failing to mention the benefits of the design of Elden Ring, since it allows you to go wherever you want from the beginning. You can go straight to Volcano Manor, or Leyndell, or go to Ranni and then Radahn. You only need two Great Runes to get past Leyndell.

I spent 5 hours austically exploring and picking up items in Elden Ring and made absolutely zero progress towards the next boss.

You did, you picked up items you could use and gained runes to level up your character. If you wanted to go to the next main boss you could always go straight fricking there. You can see exactly where they are, even on a blind playthrough .

The only bonus was I found one useful amulet or whatever the frick those accessory items are. Everything else was pure dog shit.

I'm not really sure what you want from the rewards in this game. Every optional catacomb/mine has a unique weapon, spell, talisman and sometimes multiple. Even if you decide not to use them at that very moment, it's an option you now have for the rest of the game. Spirit Ashes aren't great rewards, but they're the rarest of the above mentioned due to how little of them there are, and are extremely rarely the only reward from completing something. Crafting materials are even rarer, I can only think of a handful of chests in the game that have them.

I want everything condensed. In my opinion, the open world is at least 60% larger than it needs to be.

I don't really agree, I think what you want is a game that isn't open world and that's totally fine. I hope open world doesn't become their new formula, but I still think Elden Ring's was done better than any other game in the genre

You're right. I can beat demon's souls and dark souls in 2 hours. In elden ring I need to run around for 2 hours picking up flask and smithing stone crap before i can play the game.

            >not having stuff memorized
isnt that literally a good thing?? it means you get to explore again instead of knowing where everything is
out of all arguments against the open world genre you picked the most moronic one

Except that the exploring is unsatisfying because the rewards (loot) is mostly shit. I would get just as much enjoyment out of picking up litter outside.

I love Bloodborne game literally only has like, 3-4 builds.
You replay Bloodborne because its good and also short. Not because it has the best replayability.

I'd like to see a game that combines elements of Elden Ring and Fortnite together.

    >get dropped into a random spot on a huge world map.

    >need to get into the nearest castle and find a decent sword before anyone finds you
