Despite the flaws, I miss the early 2000s. Games at least felt more unique back then. Every AAA game I've played since 2015 feels disappointingly similar. Only indie games are keeping me going.

The game is kinda funny, it's stuck at 40 FPS for me no matter what I do. Lowest settings, highest settings, doesn't change shit, the only thing that has any effect is resolution scale. But then again Capcom demos have always been fucked for me, MHR ran at like 20-30 FPS while the main game was a rock solid experience

moron, I'm not talking about the 4090, but rather about the devs that for once didn't fuck up. Hogwarts Legacy with DLSS Quality struggles to reach 80fps and has an atrocious frame pacing, Cyberpunk requires DLSS too, Portal RTX same again.
I haven't tested that many Ray Tracing games yet, but RE4 seems to be the only properly optimized one yet (albeit it did have a few frame pacing issues at first, which disappeared as the demo went on)

Yeah, it looks amazing on PC. I have this game completely maxed out at 4k with ray tracing and it's fucking beautiful. Runs at 133 fps average at 4k on my RTX 4090. The optimization for this game is incredible. I'm glad Capcom didn't fuck this one up like RE8.

Ah alright. Still don't exactly think REmake 4 is a bad port. It's using hardware at full potential, i think it's impressive and I'm liking seeing that Capcom is taking PC seriously. It's far better than Monster Hunter World. Where that game requires stronger hardware but doesn't look the part visually enough to justify it.
I never said it was a bad port. I'm just saying that it runs way worse in terms of framerate. Maybe it'll get a slight boost after release. And proper driver support. I wasn't expecting to play this at 1080p with no downscaling. I have every other RE engine game maxed at 150% image scale.

For all the things this game is doing right, it censored, possibly even downright removed, the thing people wanted most. It murders an aspect of her character, rendering it essentially non-canon. Why is censorship so prevalent in gaming nowadays? I'm surprised they're even keeping in the gore given the extent that they're willing to go to censor something that the vast majority of players will never even see. This is dishonest, and suggests a lack of soul and attention to detail on the developer's part. No panties, no buy. Simple as.

Chromatic aberration, and it's because post process AA are dogshit at actually getting rid of jaggies, so devs add that shit to every game to make the image appear to have less jaggies but also be blurrier and uglier.
