kek even the creator of X-com is on record saying the first game expanded his thinking on what could be done with the genre.
It had original mechanics like having units toss other units as part of movement that im surprised Xcom never really did yet.

DK dlc was good though
what killed the lava world for me is how many few events happen between battles. It's only after Bowser Jr. that stuff starts to happen again
