What went so bad?
Risebreak is good
Is it really worth wasting hours playing on a shitty drm.
Just like Worldborne.
Sunbreak surpassed 5 million recently, so that's cool, especially prior to its completion AND prior to Rise launching on new platforms, though I figure the Switch will still account for the overwhelming brunt of base game and expansion sales anyway.
It's the only platform that feels active for sure.
For now, it's the only platform other than PC, and that apparently has some kind of regional matchmaking that limits the player-pool's engagement from what I've read. Don't know how true that is.
Only MR4, but I like it.
It's not bad, it's just different. It's like a hack-and-slash instead of regular MH
It's regular MH with added mobility.
Everything, N*ntendo is holding back gaming.
Nothing to do. Everything is too easy to get. Combat is actually better than World's.
Every time you defeat a new monster there should be a cinematic of your hunter doing a new sex act with Yomogi in a unique position
Would have much improved the game
Wirebugs make the entire weapon moveset for most weps pretty meaningless
i got the game for free as a gift and still felt ripped off.
Wirebug is the worst mechanic in MH history. makes 3DS hunter arts look fucking fantastic in comparison.
Mh4u is still the best classic mh game. With no paid dlc all for free.Unlike the greedy new capcom.
Agreed. I hate Generations so goddamn much for being the reason we never got a 4U Switch port.
the only problem i have with 4u is that some of the maps/areas are absolutely fucking hideous.
but other than that it's a fantastic game
I just want to know what the designers were thinking while choosing the ancestral steppe palette
I swear that one of the zones has that RE5 piss filter, I think its the egg nest
I don't get the hate for counters. Monster movesets are becoming crazier and crazier, we can't be expected to dodge roll or wait literal minutes until there's an opening.
The only way was to start putting counters in. Not saying it was done the best way but it had to be done.
The next monster hunter game better return to the og format with no anime supper flashy moves and good cosmetics that you can get from quests. I dont want a tokiden or nioh looking ass monster hunter like what rise did.
This. If I wanted to play a cuhrayzee action game I’d play DMC or Bayo. Give me my clunky, slow hunter back.
Its the other way around, Rise/SB is designed with mobility and counter first. Especially when we know its kinda sequel to Generations.
My only real problem is the Anomaly Quest grind and the lack of quality Collaborations.
Please keep the changes to Gunlance in the next game.
no amount of me filtering you gays ever seems to make you cease this shit. im confident the thread creators here are the same filter evading gays who make speedrun (chud celebration) event threads
>t. mindbroken retard
take your meds and quit seething at facts chud
Based, fuck tendies
It made every previous Mon Hun and action game feel very dated :/
World won, poopbreak flopped
>le ebin console war
blame the tendies, they started it when it was revealed that world was too powerful to run on the shitch
World kinda deserved, look how the game came out because they want to waste time with a turtle, even post iceborne updates the prior lackluster content brings the quality of the game down and prevents it from being more than decent
Thanks for reminding me I'm on a new computer to re add my poopbreak, shitch, and tendie filters
Is this your last hurrah before it releases on PS5?
I hope the next MH comes out on smartphones, so fuckers like you can get mindbroken trying to defend it.
Rise will literally be the very first game in the MH franchise to release on all current major platforms
Despite this bingposting will never end
Why were there like 5 rise bait threads today?
>Best maps since 3rd gen
>Best new monsters since 4th gen
>Best balanced roster since 3U(Overall great choice for returning monsters with very little of returning bad monsters that plagued 4U, GU and IB, while also adding great new monsters which IB could barely do)
> Best of the dedicated endgames(those made since 4U)
> Best version of Lance, Hammer, SA, SnS, IG and GL
> Massive improvements to prior shit fights likes Rathalos, Metal Raths, Kushala
> Switch skills is vastly superior to style since you aren't forced with each style gimmick and you have options without feeling like you are missing chunks of you moveset
> Story is back to not being shitty walk sections
> Base wirebug movement finally fixed verticality and make shitty ledges and slopes obsolete, while providing a proper way to access the aerial moveset
> No siege shit
> No endgame centered on 2 or 3 monsters
Here is hoping that in MH6 they get the best aspects of this game and bring back underwater, remove or limit restock, nerf healing, complete removal of ledges and slopes from fighting zones, bring back prowlers, secondary sets with gunner designs, keep the explorative maps from Rise, keep wirebug but just to use aerial attacks and to explore map(no silkbinds or wirefall), keep switch skills, remove or tweak wyvern riding to be more compatible with invaders, keep old mounting away, don't bring back sieges(or at least don't make them those 16 player MMO raids), keep followers, bring back more 3rd and 4th monsters that didn't appear in quite a while, bring back really forgotten monsters(like Yama, Hypnocatrice, Shen Gaoren), some more frontier monsters adapted to mainline, revert HH to iceborne version, make GS and LS play more like they did pre world, do a big revamp to DB like they did to IG in rise and sunbreak.
I don't understand, you described world EXACTLY in your post, yet you claim it's about rice and poopbreak? Being a tendie is a mental illness.
World had Switch skills? :O
World is better for not having that trash
Reminder, tendies bitched for YEARS about scoutflies and clutch claw, and then bingtendo combined them and called it a wirebug, and now it's fine according to tendies
World literally had muslim mantles that made you invincible and clutch claw so you could CC monsters to death, you could literally trade hits and stunlock 98% of the monsters in that game, meanwhile switch skills(not to be confused with silkbinds) made most weapons better and literally saved weapons that were shit for a long time due to Capcom like Lance and Hammer
Lol, poopbreak ruined lance and hammer compared to world and iceborne
>ruined lance and hammer
Yes, tendie. Rise ruined
>sword and shield
That's almost every weapon in the game
Tell me how I know your a bow gunner pleb
But rise fucked up every weapon except bowgun and longsword, tendie.
Lance, Hammer, IG, Gunlance, SnS, SA are at its best in Sunbreak. Hunting horn is worse and CB are worse in sunbreak, GS and LS are shit in both games but sunbreak at least introduced some interesting new stuff to both, DB is better in sunbreak due to having more options but GU DB is still better, the only weapon that is at its best in Iceborne is HH and maybe CB, the rest is inferior to sunbreak or/and inferior to other games
Hunting horn is unironically better in risebreak, the issue is that it's a completely different weapon rather than a buff. I can totally understand why any hunting horn mains hate rise for this.
Hammer actually received meaningful moveset changes and is no longer stagnant like it did since 3rd gen, lance is actually a defensive moving fortress, got pokes's damage fixed since the big nerf in 3U and 4U(3U still had the good poke MV underwater), it also made a lot of other moves viable and introduced great new moves like shield tackle, shield advance and the improved instant guard
But you said his post was entirely about World, and his post was praising Switch skills
Rise is the 2nd worst game in the series
World is the worst
Tri chads, we can't stop WINNING.
I do not care for silkbind attacks
Giving almost every weapon a counter and making damage heavily reliant on using bugs made many weapons feel very one note and uninteresting. The monster's movesets also take this into account and many monsters just feel like coked up spastics. Even worse is that they neutered the motion values of several core movesets of certain weapons making them feel absolutely awful to play normally just adds to that insult.
Rice made me play bowgun because of how insulting it is to so many weapons.
Except a lot of those said counters are too situational, impratical or DPS loss, the only weapons truly centered around counters are GS(due to strongarm stance), LS(only if you don't go for the sacred sheate playstyle) and then lance/CB(who actually had counters prior anyway), as for silkbinds, its mostly GS, LS and CB who are reliant on silkbinds, other weapons actually have the best DPs in their main combos like SnS's infinite combo, Hammer Strenght/courage charges or spinning bludgeon into big bang finisher, IG's grounded and aerial attacks that finally don't trivialize each other, Lance with leaping thrust/pokes/instant block and everything else
Forgot to say that a lot of the missconceptions behind silkbinds or counters either come from base game which had a different balance or from people that didn't look into the balance changes and new stuff added in sunbreak
Switch Axe literally only uses silkbinds for utility and uses rapid morph combos for dps
I can't wait for world 2 to be revealed to be pozzed out the ass so you people can shut the fuck up.
Who else is playing Worlds? I decided to cave in and play MHW. I was given the Defender armor/weapon set and was told you use it to go through story mode so it's EZ and faster. Should I ignore all optional quests and just go through story mode? I don't know how to tackle this game.
Don't use the defender armor and weapons, some optional quests may unlock some good stuff like farm improvements or more food for better food skills, don't worry too much trying to do every optional quest before progressing but do some of them just so they don't pile up
>Don't use the defender armor and weapons,
Wait why not? It seems really good
It's a crutch that will fuck you up once you reach monsters that outclass it.
the anime combos and mobility make it look and play like a chink MH ripoff. gotta wait until World 2 for some classic monster huntan' hunting again.
The worst thing that happened to MonHun.
It's just so god damn soulless.
sunbreak made it more into a casual hacknslash
It filtered secondaries.
>on 20% hp
>goes in to attack rather than running away to heal
retard deserved it
sitting at 500 some hours rn which is more than double what I put into worldborne
fun game is fun
Rushed game with dripfeed content
