That's because Sapkowski is great at creating characters and absolute ass at making decent plotlines beyond one-shot stories.
There's a reason the books take a nosedive after Thanedd, it's when the Ciri plotline kicks into overdrive
>be Foltest >have a kid with your sister >said kid becomes a fricking man devouring beast >oh well whoever says shit gets beheaded or hanged >random Witcher finally dispels the curse >all is good, got my heir back >everyone is cool with it because they are still afraid of getting beheaded or hanged

comparatively he's a saint since his sister was hot.
I literally don't see anything wrong with this. The games like to play the dad angle with Geralt but the dude barely raised her. She was only with him for a few months.
after several days of heavy research I've come to the conclusion that shani is mostly likely one out of the female cast to maintain her crotch shaved while yen being the bushiest.
>Uhh, it’s the Broche path! You’ve gotta choose the Broche path man!!! >Path is worse in every single way >Spend the whole time helping a moronic greedy frick kick over someone’s sandcastle out of pure Ego >Rendered completely pointless when he then murders everyone and rapes Ves so you kill him, and even more pointless after that with the invasion
The Iorveth path was leagues and leagues better. You actually achieve something and work towards a meaningful goal.
Which makes it tie into Blood and Wine as pure goddamn kino.
Its funny how gays never talk about gameplay but always coom shit and characters. Really just shows where the emphasis of the "game" was put, so much so that not even mods can salvage this mess and make combat/magic/alchemy decent. Enhanced Mod just turned combat into Sekiro/Dark Souls.
Add more locations to visit in the search for Ciri. For example Tir Na Lia being explorable/story line involved. Throwback to Witcher 1 with explorable Vizima. Stuff like that. And also I guess make the progression more in depth as well as the combat without breaking lore.
There was gonna be a questline surrounding the plague, involving Ioverth and the big Nilfgaardian camp but it got cut

tfw you remember all they did with Iorveth after W2 is turn him into a fricking Gwent card.

Did you not listen during W2 or something? Iorveth fricked off back into the woods with the rest of the elf Black folk and probably got killed during the invasion preceding Witcher 3. If you talk to Roche he says something about Iorveth or some other similar elf group that had some resistance near Kaedwen/Aedirn where Dol Blathana is when Nilfgaard invaded. He could care less about the goyi- I mean dh'oine.
>Did you not listen during W2 or something?
I did, but I haven't played it in over 5 years. There were actual plans to include him in the game, but the content was cut due to time constraints. So there was definitely room within the story for him to still be around.
Yeah I guess. Regis still being alive is a retcon from the books so Iorveth somehow still around makes more sense than that but my previous post is also probable especially if you play Thronebreaker, which is very kino and has one of the best written females in all of vidya. Don't know how they pulled that off but I was pleasantly surprised.
>Thronebreaker
Yes, I loved that game. Very, very good. Often overlooked only because of its gwent gameplay, but its narrative quality and character development is up there with the main games.
Velen is just way too big and distracting. Maybe split it into two or three different areas.
Skill slots should be unlocked much faster. Maybe just immediately.
Remove all level requirements from armor and weapons. You earn it, you can use it. No scaling items down. There is no point in that kind of restriction in a single player game.
>start witcher 2 directly after witcher 1 >immediately pissed they took Shani and forced Triss on me >have to pick between a homosexual elf + Triss or a bro soldier + cute tomboy >go with the bro >tomboy ends up raped, Triss forced on you at the end anyway >plus I missed a dragon I guess
I'm a Triss guy now but man TW2 is hot garbage.
Anon, it's not projection if it's something you can clearly see him doing in his post.
It's like saying I'm projecting for saying OP is lusting after Ves.
Don't be moronic.
It's sad because I figured she just gets passed around the men in the company as a frickdoll, but we see Roche reprimand her for her attire, and she even gets mad at Roche saying he's not "her father and can't tell her how to dress."
Women aren't treated kindly in the world of Witcher 3, well, at least a lot of them aren't. The nobility is treated more kindly I suppose, but that makes sense. Frankly the Witcher universe paints most women as prostitutes who are horny 24/7 and will jump in bed with anyone. Peasants don't have any money or entertainment, so sex is really the only thing going for them. Everyone is horny even the nobility, it's like all they think about is sex.
I figured Roche saw her kind of as a daughter, kind of don't want to believe he and Vas were banging each other. Roche was too autistic and committed to his duty to probably have an interest in fooling around.
Ya, I felt that same dynamic between them. He seemed quite protective while she was playing the stereotypical rebellious daughter. I doubt they did anything untoward considering that relationship. And he'd probably lynch any man in his company that tried to fool around with her.
I figured Roche saw her kind of as a daughter, kind of don't want to believe he and Vas were banging each other. Roche was too autistic and committed to his duty to probably have an interest in fooling around.
Roche didn't even know that Ves got rape until the Henselt outright tell him in front of his face that she squeaked like an un-oiled hinge. He way to focus on his brothers in arm being dead.
how come geralt gets to frick trish and ciri? yennefer doesn't count since she's a disgusting hunchback uggo but pretty much all other women he fricked are hot
it's not fair man
sorry, anon. they had to focus dev time on quests like the one about washing a dirty pan
no anon. you need to decide whether should you let go of some old fart that stole a magical testicles which enhanced his sex drive and capabilities NTRing a man with his wife or not

Did we play the same game? Also there's nothing wrong with banter but she never fricking turns it off. I can't imagine how exhausting a relationship with someone who is incapable of having a normal conversation would be.
She under tense for the most of it. Behind the emperor's lapdog, dealing with her Lounge sister, Uma, Ciri being in danger, the Djinn curse, and being around Geralt does that. When everything dies down and she laze around the orchard, she just chill and like not worrying about anything anymore.

I've always thought Yennefer was the canon romance option for two main reasons:
1. Book reasons
2. She actually seems to keep Geralt interested/engaged and is unironically a strong, indepedent woman, whereas Triss comes across as a needy teenaged girl (which isn't that far from the truth, really). He seems to enjoy the banter, even if it is annoying to the player. Yennefer is far from the best witcher woman, but between her and Triss, I think she's clearly the better choice.

Yen is the book canon romance i.e. taking their non-game history into account and treating the first two games as an amnesia-fueled break
Triss is the game canon romance i.e. acknowledging the previous history between him and Yen but treating the first two games as a fresh start away from his past
witcher 3 ciri acts cute and pure rather than a jaded heartless roastie who has lost her innocence, it's a fact, witcher 3 ciri acts nothing like book ciri

One more reason to have Radovid killed.
I just finished the main game and loved it(for the storytelling mostly)
However, one thing bugged me > quick, Ciri is in danger we have to find her!! ...but first let me spend the equivalent of weeks doing every feasible quest that shows up. If you wanna RP as Gerald you had to skip most of tge side quests for it to make sense. Needed a better central motivation with less urgency
Yeah but in 99% of RPG you're spending time to collect some shit or helping some rando to find his family dildo while world is literally burning around you
What are those 99%? Because most of the ones I've played at least TRY to have some consistency. Yeah you got the blight in DAO but the meandering from faction to faction is narratively coherent
Lol, ya, that's a common gripe with the story's pacing. Requires a little suspension of disbelief. Rushing the main quest and then going back to do the unrelated sidequests would probably be the most immersive, but I think some of those side quests are linked to the main story anyway, so it's not entirely possible.

Part of me wants to say incredibly based but with Ciri this is also the ultimate grooming so idk

It’s honestly what the books did with Ciri. Feels like the author just got horny and wrote some real garbage for her.
Feels bad when you play W3 and like her so much, then remember all the stupid grooming and raping that makes up her entire story.
That's because Sapkowski is great at creating characters and absolute ass at making decent plotlines beyond one-shot stories.

Raped into oblivion is literally her backstory. But yeah it's weird that the Blue stripes haven't done anything
Blue Stripe are probably like a family. They made a big deal with Triss talking about how great they are in the beginning of the game.
Dude, she is the pro at getting raped, they tell you this in the game.

Did I miss something? I don't recall anything in B&W tying into Iorveth or anything related to his path in W2.
Also I've never actually done a Roche playthrough of 2, which made it all the more disappointing that he's the only one of the two that made it to 3
Didn't he save her from rape at a young age? He's basically her dad.
