Also Ritalin doesn't make you superman at videogames or some shit. Just helps being unbothered / distracted. As a pro player it's more of a safety to keep focusing when stakes are high. It doesn't boost gameplay as you'd like to pretend.
Adderall is NOT Ritalin. Completely different molecules. They share some similarities in terms of effect. Only thing that matters to me is, junkies like Adderall and hate Ritalin.

I know right? It makes you feel kind of jaded. Not sad but jaded. Effective to get an usual desk task going but truly not good in a competitive mindset. I've tried playing competitive games with and without, never felt like having an edge.

Probably in USA, I've heard of that issue. You don't easily get those prescribed in Europe. In any case, know it is a quite widespread condition. Around 1 out of 30 children has a "varying degree" of ADHD.

Ye I had that problem too as a teenager. Still a bit but not as bad. Would come back from school and sit at my desk doing literally nothing. It made me drop the medication but I've regretted it immensely. So hard to work without it, I'm glad that thing exists.

For me I was able to focus much better and pretty much stay up all night every night doing work but I was completely miserable too. Felt like a robot. Got off that shit second I was out of school. Felt so much happier. I miss being able to stay up every night but it's worth it

I told them I had trouble focusing for my entire life except when I played vidya. Then I asked about Aderall. My doctor was a swell guy though. Your mileage will vary. An old buddy of mine had a doctor who refused to prescribe basically anything. Even if you were dying of pain. Generic pain killer for you.

How do you even get diagnosed as an adult? Feels like everyone I've met that had something got diagnosed as kids.
same way you get diagnosed as a kid, talking to therapists about your life and what problems you're trying to overcome but cant seem to figure out with details of how long and how it impacts you
what really sucks is when you go to a psychiatric appointment and they only have pediatric tests and you fill them out and get laughed at because you didnt need to answer them so literally since they're for kids
