The point of V3 WAS NOT to shit on previous games. Kodaka mentioned this multiple times that wasn't the point of V3 in the slightest.
The point of V3 is literally "truth vs lies" as everything is intentionally set up to be ambiguous with no clear cut explanation, even in it's final case.
Want to believe that Tsumugi was lying to the player about everything being false? Go ahead. Want to believe that nobody truly died and they were merely pretending as it was some TV show? Go ahead. Want to believe that DR1, DR2, UDG events truly happened and Tsumugi is some Ultimate Despair copycat? Go ahead.
Ultimately it's up to you to believe what's true or not, hence the theme "Truth vs Lies".

It's isn't really schizo or some headcanon, the game makes it quite obvious that the game is intentionally set up to make you question things all the way to the very end, with Shuichi even outright saying that he'll believe what's "true or not". Even the fricking ending is extremely ambiguous on either DR1 to UDG events are canon or not.

I finally completed V3 so I can participate. 3 already made me a but disappointed ad it made the deaths in 2 meaningless. What was the point of it? And V3 essentially doubled down on it. I don't care about the artsy fartsy wank of the director. I want cute students killing each other or themselves for bullshit reasons. And the cast was probably the weakest overall. It started so strong Kaede was the cutest and they raped me with the twist for good. Not having a dumb brown tomboy was sacrilege!
