That’s firmly in “longer movie” territory, 90 minutes is considered normal, and horror flicks are always on the shorter side. It’s difficult to maintain the scary tension for an hour and a half let alone two hours so most never even try.
Not that I have ever played the game or know anything about the story, but I’d be worried they’re going to throw in some romance or origin subplot with that runtime. Only so much you can do with “the robots come alive at night and try to kill the security guard”
Little Mermaid was 2 15, and I remember hearing about how that was too long for modern audiences. This seems like a bad directing choice, and I say this as someone who was interested in the film.
What the hell is subway surfers and why do people keep using it as a way to call someone a zoomer

Tiktok has hundreds of thousands of videos with a clip that it's actually about splitscreened with a mobile game clip or some other attention grabber because zoomers' brains are unironically so destroyed by the platform they can't pay attention to a 30 second clip if there's not something else to watch at the same time

I heard it was to make wide (read: normal) videos fit in the vertical video format TikTok uses.
>nearly two hour movie based on a game where u sit in one place and click buttons for like 10 minutes each level
ill be blown away if they can make this garbage even slightly watchable
>ill be blown away if they can make this garbage even slightly watchable
wasnt there already a movie with a similar premise with nick cage?
iirc the latter was all that made it watchable
While there is a movie with a similar premise starring Nic Cage, it doesn't really rely on horror to be entertaining. Instead, it relies mostly on action. A similar (and much better) movie would be Violent Night, which reimagines Santa as an immortal Norse warrior. It's like that, but reimagining the security guard as an action hero. There is nearly no horror aspect at all in the movie itself. Meanwhile, FNAF will have to walk that fine line between being scary but not too scary for the kid tickets to sell. It's doomed.
They can easily do it by giving the animatronics voices like in the later games. Part of FNAF 1's simplicity in its story has to do with the lack of dialogue between Mike and the animatronics.
It's pulling from more sources than just fnaf 1, the fact that spring bonnie shows up in the trailer means that there is going to be an overall plot than ooo haunted robots.
It's probably going to be >Get's a job >hey look haunted robots >why are they haunted >ooo haunted robots are doing bad things >oh, it's spring bonnie, he killed them all >and actually the robots are trying to protect the kid from him >spring bonnie dies after chasing them around a bit >okay thank you freddie bye bye I love you >some sequel bait with spring bonnie twitching around in his springlock suit like in fnaf 3 or something to hint that he'll be back
there's 15 million Resident Evil movies, Silent Hill, House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, and...maybe Doom? Still, kind of a silly reduction of categories just to fish for a headline
And it's not even the longest in this weirdly specific category, it's "one of" the longest. >One of the longest horror game movies about a haunted chucky cheese parody where the main villain is an animatronic bear to ever release in October 2023
By saying "one of" then you open the possibility of future clickbait titled excuses for journalism. Like. "The Top 10 Longest Runtime Game Horror Movies You Might Not Know About" or something.
Because modern journalism is about knowing you MUST make a certain quota of articles and then making shit up to meet that quota, as opposed to just making articles on interesting things.
I think the movie is well aware of the cheese, it looks very campy
As much as I like the earlier horror atmosphere of the first three games, I think having the movie be more camp is fitting
>1 Of >The Longest Horror >Game >Movies
When you have to be this specific and have this many qualifiers, you should probably ask yourself, "Is this news?"
>it's pg-13
i want a god damn r rated fnaf movie with excessive amounts of practical effects and gore, for fucks sake. the fans of fnaf who were ten when the game came out are now nearing twenty, surely it would be more appealing to do a campy 80s gorefest, right?
if they do the springlock scene in any capacity i'll be happy.
Exactly, dissapointing and some anons will take offense from what you said, but still correct.
>it's pg-13

The bite in FNAF 4 was the last time we saw kids getting visibly fucked up. Even Elizabeth's death in Sister Location was just her getting grabbed by a hook, with the gore being more implied. I wouldn't be surprised if Security Breach originally had more violent things happening to Gregory before they had to tone it down for the sake of ratings.
Perfection
I like thickness, but it doesn't works here. She is perfect like this.
They made bigger her proportions, almost all of her new porn is like this now.
They ruined her, that superelon video is one of the last good things.
I asked my little sister if she wanted to see it, since she is also cares too much about fnaf (although unlike me she has never actually played the games), but she turned me down, saying she was going to see it with her friends.
So I'll probably go by myself at a late night viewing.
I haven't been to a movie theater in years so it might be a fun excuse for my ass to go to one since even bad horror movies can be fun
might see if any of my bro's wanna check it out
They should have mandated the first-week showings to take place in a theater where you can lock emergency doors on either side of the theater for a set amount of time before running out of battery and if you can't close a door when you need to you die.
>One of the longest horror game movies ever >horror game movies

>24 hour psycho >1440m >Prometheus >2h4m >The conjuring 2 >134m >FnaF is actually ranked 2062 longest horror film just below Shalini, a hindi film about a vampire woman.
This movie is not one of the longest hour movies ever. It's not even close. This internet article is incorrect!
can someone explain how did this game get famous in the first place. I only ever saw one video of the first one some years ago and it looked meh, an indie jumpscare game, ok. how the fuck is it getting a movie
It was THE indie jumpscare game
It spawned enough games in a short time during its boom that it managed to become a franchise and survive the fad itself
>It was THE indie jumpscare
how? whats the appeal? it sure didnt impress or interest me from what I remember. do you have to be into a fetish or something to like this game
It's something that you can't feel by watching a video. The game has good atmosphere. Lots of sound cues and random events like hallucinations that add to the tension. People focus on the jumpscares but it's the build up that makes (at least the first game) pretty good. The animatronics also behave in somewhat unpredictable ways, making them feel pretty lively. The story is also pretty enjoyable, as ridiculous as it gets at times. I knows what it is and is just having fun with the idea.
It's basically a "you had to be there" moment. A lot of the threads here were just piecing together fragments of lore as random bumfuck nobodies streamed getting to the 5th (and then secret 6th) night.
Up to that point, horror games were all about running from monsters (Amnesia, Slender, all their cheap clones). FNAF was a horror game that made it impossible to run from the monster. It stood out from what was popular in the indie horror scene at the time.
A combination of different factors. The guy behind these games is a family man who enjoyed making 90s style pre rendered 3D games for his kids. At some point, someone pointed out that his style looked uncanny and he had the idea of making a horror game about haunted Chuck & Cheese robots. His artstyle ended up being perfect for it.
At some point, Ganker took a wind of it, it was a cheap game after all. The idea was novel and the game had pretty good atmosphere and replayability. People also found out about little secrets, hinting at more lore involving the game's story. At this point in time, barely anything was know about the characters. The mystery factor was part of the appeal.
Now, combine the above with the fact that let's plays on youtube were very popular around that time. The jumpscares were perfect for that crowd and the lore got people to speculate. The main antagonists being robotic cartoon mascots also worked in generating a shit ton of fan art. The games being low budget also meant that the creator could make sequels rather quickly, so it was riding a wave for a while.
ok that explains it better thanks. I was never into Indie games myself this is one of the most popular ones from what I can tell
>It was THE indie jumpscare
how? whats the appeal? it sure didnt impress or interest me from what I remember. do you have to be into a fetish or something to like this game
Actually he tried to get wholesome Christian games published but the publisher told.him his designs were uncanny valleys and creepy. Then he had a dream about the blue bunny animation murdering him and made it into a horror game
It wasn't a publisher, it was Jim Sterling in a video shitting on pic related by saying the characters look like they want to murder children. It's funny because Jim Sterling despises Scott because of his political beliefs yet he indirectly gave him his entire career and countless millions of dollars by being an asshole to him.
>Scott will literally never have to work a single day for the rest of his life thanks to FNaF while he makes trannies seethe >While Jim is constantly losing subs and falling into obscurity since most people hate trannies

You know I see articles/headlines/ledes/whatever on these types of sights and I would always think they're written by pajeets with how stilted and awkward they always read but I guess they could be AI as well.
I heard it was 3hrs but now it's apperently confirmed half of that whichi sucks

You had one job, Scott.
>Won't post the actual runtime
I'm not reading that article
fuck off, shill
1 hr 50 minutes
Which is above average but doesn’t really sound that long.
That’s firmly in “longer movie” territory, 90 minutes is considered normal, and horror flicks are always on the shorter side. It’s difficult to maintain the scary tension for an hour and a half let alone two hours so most never even try.

>90 minutes is considered normal
Maybe like 15 years ago. Two hours is the norm unless you're a comedy (nonexistent genre now) or a kids movie.
horror movies tend to be fairly short too
Your Forgetting the "Deep Lore" that is five frigghs at fraddos
its about 100 minutes more than a movie about fnaf can hold anyone's attention other than matpat and Cory borealis
>nearly two hour movie based on a game where u sit in one place and click buttons for like 10 minutes each level

>okay thank you freddie bye bye I love you
>some sequel bait with spring bonnie twitching around in his springlock suit like in fnaf 3 or something to hint that he'll be back
That's really fucking long for a children's movie.
Kids are willing to watch 3 part 5 hour click bait lore series for their games. This will be fine for them.
Not that long but longer than any horror movie should be. Just like comedies, it should be 90m long so you can be in-and-out as soon as possible.
>1 hr 50 minutes
Wait I thought it was supposed to be 3 hours. Did they change it?
retards don't know what an assembly cut is
They had three hours of unedited footage.
that's longer than any of the game's runtimes
2 hours is a long time? I guess it would feel that way if the movie sucks ass.
It's gonna be garbage, probably not even particularly entertaining garbage.
If it sticks close to the source material it will be dystopian sci-fi kino.
ok gay OP, I'll bite. What's the runtime?
>one of the longest horror game movies ever
thats strangely specific
That's what I came here to say. What's its competition? Resident Evil, I guess?
there's 15 million Resident Evil movies, Silent Hill, House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, and...maybe Doom? Still, kind of a silly reduction of categories just to fish for a headline

By saying "one of" then you open the possibility of future clickbait titled excuses for journalism. Like. "The Top 10 Longest Runtime Game Horror Movies You Might Not Know About" or something.
Because modern journalism is about knowing you MUST make a certain quota of articles and then making shit up to meet that quota, as opposed to just making articles on interesting things.
>horror
The cupcake attacking the kid is hilarious
Fnaf can be genuinely funny when it wants to be
Only problem is that this is probably not an example of it trying to be
Helpy missing the swimming pool followed by the neck cracking and the music stopping is really funny
I think the movie is well aware of the cheese, it looks very campy
As much as I like the earlier horror atmosphere of the first three games, I think having the movie be more camp is fitting
Oh boy, wait to see the springlock scene in the theaters with other children
I hope they do the spring lock scene
>Take the photo quickly. A warm breeze and this shit will make my lower body into ground hamburger meat.

I think the most yt tuber we're getting is an employee of the month photo on the wall in the background.
Which is fine.
>Which is fine.
I'm glad I don't have such low tolerance for things
>the new model was leaked
>it's inferior to the old one except the chicken and golden fred
What a shame
holy fuck this is bad. Even worse giving it the pronounced side dyke hair.
Creator literally peaked hard in their first creation and it truly shows
That's sad considering I hated the first models.
Unfff what a babe
>"1 of"
>not "one of"
Why are modern "journalists" so bad at writing?
it's all written by AI nowadays
But we already have Willie's Wonderland. This movie will be pure gay aids.
I'm a fan of the special effects company so I'll go see it.

Th issue is making the movie R would alienate like 88% of their fanbase
>not 87%
Exactly, dissapointing and some anons will take offense from what you said, but still correct.
Or at least some crushing bite scene.
FNAF is 9 years old
It wouldn't. Pretty sure the original zoomers who got into fnaf in their teens are probably in their 20s by now
He's implying the original zoomers aren't the core fanbase anymore, and that the current fanbase is mostly kids.
If it's an consolation, you can have a lot of violence and blood for PG 13 if the studio wants it. Otherwise theres that Nic Cage film.
Pg-13 sells more tickets than r rated, by numbers. Not even for fnaf, just across the board
So, uh
You ARE going to go see it, right Ganker?
Of course.
Isn't it releasing at the same time in some streaming service?
I WILL pirate it.
>I WILL pirate it.
Whoa just like my FUARKING HERO Foxy
I'm going to dress up as purple guy
I am gonna grab a torrent. No way I am gonna watch this dubbed in my country.

Should've joined her friends anon.
That's pretty much my plan now. I'll try to show up after her, unfortunately I tend to stick out in a crowd.
Fuck, now I gotta ask my younger siblings if they wanna see the movie.
literally the same thing happened to me too. Difference is ill just go anyways and embarrass her in front of her friends.
Unironically yes, my little Brother loves the fuck out of FNAF
