kinda like how god hand had target audience of 2 people. mikami tuned the game so it's fun to play himself and then he picked some junior programmer at clover who gave feedback and had final say on balancing changes. ignored everyone else at the studio who begged for changes to gameplay and shit. "sorry but this is a game im making for the programmer not for you"

more developers need to be this based

im glad he's like this, for balance purposes,
but can we get the god damned rainbow fletched arrows recipe rather than TEN TOTAL per new game now? and the other missing stuff, and a way to get endgame crafting materials like idk chalice baths but with rune arcs like you ALREADY DID with bloodborne?

missing the small stuff that benefits players rather than literal cheaters makes me want to make my own games but I don't have RTX or cash so whats the point.

ER's issue was the world was too spread out and the mining bells you acquired were far, far too late in the game, same with anyone pursuing a Perfumer build or even getting general recipes. Some recipes are also just pointless to have. I don't really craft boluses to combat Frenzy because lets face it, only two npcs use it in any proficient way and the enemies with eye beams can be dodged. Why does soft cotton exist when you get the ring in an intro dungeon? Why didn't they make it so you can buy livers with the meat peddlers bell? Liver is fricking meat!

Yes, it does. If you want to do something the right way you need proper testing and get feedback that you will then use to improve your product. If you want a good example of what happens when you just ignore everyone because you know better, look no futher than Cube World.

User feedback can be genuine but it can also be dishonest or argued in bad faith or outright moronic. All Souls games will nerf some weapon or spell to fit the niche of a small minority of morons arguing that they're too OP. A recent example is Flame of the Redmanes, nerfed to oblivion when theres various other weapons/spells which do far more poise damage with less risk or even more damage.

Almost every single time I see someone suggest an "improvement" here it's very poorly thought out, ESPECIALLY story related changes. Sometimes I'm surprised people here are able to read.

Another thing you guys show off is how fricking awful you all are at playing games. Any game that has modding ability you guys inevitably start shilling easy mode mods and then come up with a cope story about how it's "hardcore" to have those easy mode mods.
    >"unpredictable alien makes Alien isolation so scary guys!!!"
It just makes the alien disappear for half the game and now you no longer need to use gadgets to get past him since you can just hide in a locker.
    >checkout my HARDCORE Fo4 modded game!
Then you read it and it's just instakill headshots (for the player), invincible power armor, quicksave in survival, completely silent silencers, and other things to make their stealth archer run easier.
    >my STALKER save is so BADASS
They up the accuracy and lethality for guns which is purely beneficial to the player since the difficulty of STALKER is bullet sponge enemies + shitty, inaccurate guns. That's along with giving themselves night vision from the start and you'll notice absolutely nobody will ever post webms of them actually getting into shootouts in their super modded game. Then they have the audacity of calling the mod "SUICIDAL DEPRESSION" while they run around quick saving.

My point is normies have no clue how to make a game so smart devs should entirely ignore them.

        >modern devs are dumb

And they tailor games specifically FOR them
Why do you think a lot of games nowadays are catering to moronic ADHD tiktok users? Why do you think that games that instead cater to niche audiences, like strategy, crpgs and others are so different?

    >The graphics are bad.
