It's not. Origins is completely devoid of the endless comic book references and unique landmarks that are in city/knight
Every street in Origins is identical to the next and there's only 3 billboard decals that are copy/pasted everywhere. It's a really lazily made game. The gameplay might be identical, but the presentation of origins is just terrible.
>Origins is completely devoid of the endless comic book references and unique landmarks that are in city
It really isn't, especially because it's re-using City's map. They force-fed it full of obscure comic book references and costumes, probably moreso than the other games.
That's the least of its problems, anyway.

You're either being obtuse or you missed the point of the post entirely.
Lets use math then, despite having a bigger map area, origins uses fewer textures than city, and every signage and billboard is identical on every single street. This leads to the player seeing the exact same textures over and over again no matter where they are.
That's not a point anyone missed, that's you saying something completely different. Origins is full of obscure comic references and easter eggs.

It's still the shittiest of the series, for other reasons.
Not even remotely, it was a closed down version of city with cheat gloves and QTE boss fights, you contrarian little shit. I'm going to brick in your goddamn mouth.
As far as I can remember, Origins was a dogshit cash grab by the IP holder where they fired Rocksteady and hired a bunch of street people to string a game together. I have played the other 3 but never played it. I am actually re-playing them right now and I am nearly done with City. Should I play Origins or skip it again? I see people talk about it a lot here like it isn't complete dogshit so I'm really not sure.
It's at the bottom of my list of the 4 games.
The game feels like it was developed by an AI, feels mediocre but has some good moments. The boss fights can be a real headache, especially if you turn off parry indicators.
If you care about in-game achievements, make sure you complete them in the main story game, because you can't satisfy those requirements on the challenge maps.
They didn't fire shit, they put a different studio to work on it when Rocksteady was busy making Arkham Knight. They literally own Rocksteady.
It was the same studio responsible for that garbage Gotham Knights.
city is arguably better but I preferred the more 'metroidvania' feel of the first game
also I'mma drop a very unpopular bomb but knight really is the best in the series and the graphics hold up wonderfully
If I ever play any other game, it will probabaly be City. I dislike the Batmobile missions from afar like you wouldn't believe. I don't think I'll appreciate it at all.
they were pretty fun if anything, especially one really kino mission I'm not gonna spoil
My only issue with Knight is that the writing is complete dogshit, especially after the kino that was City. I'm a batfag so I'm definitely biased, I'd imagine if you didn't have as much interest in capeshit Knight would be a lot more enjoyable, but the story was so fucking stupid and it was painfully obvious who the Arkham Knight's true identity was like an hour in. Not bringing Paul Dini back on board for Knight was a huge mistake, the dude wrote almost all of the best episodes of BTAS.
I agree that it lacked in the story department but the city and combat were the best imho, albeit it was so high-tech it could have easily been sold as a batman beyond game and it's sad that peak rocksteady wont make a beyond game
I never loved the depiction of Gotham in any of the Arkham games. It was always too modern and advanced. I've always loved the Gotham City from the Burton films. It had that perfect mix of gothic architecture and dingy film noir. Arkham Asylum definitely had the best aet direction and atmosphere out of the four, and I wish we got to see a Gotham City in that style before they pivoted to City's realistic look. Somehow the lego batman games were the only ones to nail the look and feel of Gotham, for me at least.

Which spiderman game is the good one? I never cared about capeshit and I feel like I was missing out on some good games
I played the Bruce Campbell SpiderMan 2 and it was great
I refuse to play Origins because it looks like crap. Shittier animations, bad graphics, everything looks like washed out shit, and I already know the plot twist about "IT'S JOKER AGAIN!!!"
what game?
Spider-Man 2
Jumanji 2: Send Him to Detroit
Tales of V𝖆n D𝖊im𝖆n: The Plight of Hank Hasselhoff
I really should try to play this agan.
Last time I did it off the back of City and got bored quite quickly.
>origins
Spider-Man Origins when
Origins was better than City. Cope, Sneed and Dilate.

I'll stick to the rocksteady games.

It's definitely the worst of the three but it's worth a play anyway
Just accept it's a B-team product and is a solid step below the other games
Alright I'll do it. Thank you internet man.

I only played Asylum. Great game. Never touched City on my library.
City is pretty good but if you only play one batman game, play Knight. It perfected everything they started in Asylum.

The Neversoft ones and 1-2 of the Raimi ones.
I really liked the 2000 one
also hulk ultimate destruction and crackdown 1 are kino capeshit games
This is the one arkham game I never played and I always forget to do it during the holiday season
this year will be different maybe
I always play it every December for a few hours at least. The winter settings is nice.
Yeah, the snowy nights in Knight are something to behold. That game still holds up visually.
