i genuinely liked her and her story. i played the game late and avoided it at first because Ganker sperging out convinced me to be scared of it, then i saw gameplay years later and thought it looked really fun, gave it a try and really enjoyed it the whole way through.
She was being transferred to another base, they were just ambushed on the way, I imagine she has more value as a medic than a frontliner. Why a pregnant medic wasn't on a more secure vehicle or route, is more dumb.
I cant believe there are people today who would say otherwise. They were both wrong in the end but Joel literally did shoot up an entire hospital full of people in an effort to save his random adopted daughterfu because of his past trauma. He is UNDERSTANDABLE, not entirely justified, and to like 90% of the people in the hospital he was some random asshole with a gun shooting everybody for no reason. The only people that possibly could've known he even had a 'reason' to be there was the lady in charge of everything and the doctors. All i'm saying is that Abby's motivations and character progression was completely realistic and understandable, especially because she literally grew up in the apocalypse, much like Ellie who also ran around killing an absolutely insane amount of strangers over one person dying regardless of how she felt about Joel. Neither is more justified than the other in the end, which is why i'm perfectly okay with the ending
People dont hate Abby because her motivations are unrealistic, they hate her because >She gets the drop on Joel in a way he would never fall for >Shes clearly on steroids somehow in the apocalypse >The hospital and her father are retconned from being dodgy and grimey to pristine perfect >Shes a massive cunt

Ellie is just going to go off and kill herself in the woods because she's lost "her" child, her fingers and the reminder of Joel with music, her dreamy fantasy barn she lived on, and her entire community.

Ellie pursued Abby in search of revenge twice. Despite Tommy getting shot in the head, she only lost Joel. Whereas Abby lost Owen, Manny and Mel. Ellie had done more harm to Abby at this point yet she didn't continue the cycle of death when after catching up with Ellie and Dina. Ellie didn't learn from the first time and lost everything.
