What do you think is objectively the WORST type(s)
I'd argue Ice and/or Rock. Ice isn't just poor defense, it literally just can't defend, yet is rarely strong enough to be a glass cannon.
Rock is outclassed entirely by Steel, to an embarrassing extent, so much so that Rock should've just BECOME Steel

Bug is the worst, rock and ice are good offensively
Rock and grass. People say bug is a shit type but bug has fantastic moves like sticky web, quiver dance, and u-turn. Good matchups against good types like dark and psychic, and they have an incredible diversity of pokemon with a good amount of them being viable in some way. Rock pokemon are almost universally shit and their moves are only good because two popular types are weak to it (fire and flying). Grass suffers from having too many easily exploitable weaknesses with a roster much like rock in that it's mostly incredibly mediocre, except grass is resisted by much better types and most grass moves don't do anything special/good

I do, much more than you most likely and I play a lot of monotype because I enjoy the format. Best types are electric, steel, and water while the absolute worst are by far rock, grass, and ice, though ice has great coverage and some good mons, compared to rocks good coverage but incredibly shit roster and poorly made moves, or grasses shit roster, bad coverage, and lackluster moves

Fairy, due to being introduced when the series irrefutably went to shit.
To be honest the dragon types after the advent of the fairies have dropped a lot. Also the dragons' moves are almost meaningless once a mon doesn't have it as a STAB. Dragon Claw and Drafon Pulse, medium power with no extra effect, Outrage cause confusion plus easily predicted with some fairy, Draco Meteor reduces special attack. The only thing that saves them is the stats they have among the highest and the variety of moves.

All of the types have their uses. Even Normal, with it's single weakness, makes a decent defensive type.
