I don’t mind the ears too much because lions have relatively small ears compared to their heads as well (though they’re higher up), but they definitely should have had tails.

Egypt has been part of the "greater" middle east since the Arab conquest. I doubt they feel any different to the other Arabs.

they hate dogs more because Mohammed killed dogs especially black fur dogs for no reason, he was a mentally ill man he thought they were the devil, he also raped Aisha when she was 6 and killed and slaved millions for disagreeing with him.

Sounds like a wonderful person to base a religion around.

well yeah and it happened because if you didnt submit you got killed, and its still that way to this day, if you declare yourself atheist or another religion like Christianity or budhism you need to be "honor" killed for quitting as soon as they learn of your apostasy, its in their law.

gets further funny when the last possibly true line of his blood was killed by the mongols and the guys at the top larping as his descents now would probably have you executed for bringing it up

He's just a prophet. Allah is the deity whom the religion is based around. In Christian terms, you're basically thinking that Christianity was built around either John the Baptist or St. Peter.

I doubt the actual historical Muhammad was anything like that. Just like I doubt the historical Jesus wanted people to die for his follower's sins. it's all later literature that adds a lot fiction. To teach it's audience certain ideas and to re-interpret those dead preachers. Those attributed sayings and actions to Muhammad were mostly written one to two centuries after he died and thousands of kilometers away from were he lived. They actually reflect the environment they were written in instead of Muhammad's actual ministry. To learn more about Muhammad's ministry you should decode the Quran and the debates it's engaging with. Which means we probably can never ever know everything we'd like to know about the historical Muhammad. Just like we can't ever know everything we'd like to know about the historical Jesus. and other preachers like them from the eras of parchments and papyri in antiquity. We unironically have the capacity to know a lot more about emperors and Caliphs like Constantine and Abd al-Malik than we have the capacity to know about religious preachers and the historical origins of their movements and the first generation of their followers. Despite later religiously motivated literature focusing and claiming to know a lot about those preachers, the origin of their movements and the first generation of their followers. Those claims are mostly legendry and mythical. They attribute a lot of sayings to those preachers that those preachers never said and might have never agreed with.

yeah I like this trope. The first domesticated cats were domesticated in Cyprus and Egypt. ancient Egyptians gave cats divine attributes. Cats are adored in islam. wild desert cats have big ears and look cute. now that I think about it, wild desert foxes are also very cute. So if you're not going to have cat people with middle eastern aesthetic, then you should try having Fox people with middle eastern culture and aesthetic. I might misspell their names but I just remembered the fable fox characters of Kalila & Dimna and their associated literature were popular in the middle ages middle east.

Khajiit are pre-islamic arabs who practice moon buddhism. The caravans in Skyrim are just the way Bethesda found to have them in the game in significant numbers, it's not a major part of their culture or way of life.

I mean, Goblins are indeed fey, just as Redcaps are. Just because it's not cute/pretty and have bug wings or strong nature motifs doesn't mean it ain't fey.

Where did it all go wrong?

This is gonna kind of sound ultra-lib-tard but:
      >First Europe carves up the middle east based on its own interest and territorial gains and later redistributes it based off these and not the land claims of the cultures nor understanding said cultures.
      >America and Russia then are so determined to frick eachother over they armed and supplied backwards religious extremists and install them as 'puppet' governments just to flip the bird to the other. Much as the Middle East has gone nuts, for the Western world it's still a huge case of "Well if it isn't the consequences of my own actions."

Sad to say though that I don't think we could ever 'fix' the situation in the Middle East without a fricking time machine. And everyone knows all time machines get used by nazi sympathizers who keep thinking they can help Germany win WWII and suggest more terrible wunderwaffen projects for Germany to waste its money on.

you forgot that genghis khan killed a shit load of them and effectively ended the golden age of islam and all their scientific discoveries and ushered in the backwards tribalistic hillbillies that make up the middle east today.

Genghis Khan was still around in the 1960s and 70s, when middle eastern women could wear skirts, didn't need to wear hijabs, and middle easterners as a whole could watch western movies like Star Wars?
