If you don't really want to play this immediately, then no reason not to hold off until further patches or a Definitive Edition.
It's a great game but act 3 still has some clearly rushed parts. If you don't care about that it's still a 9/10 game. Personally I'd recommend playing it now if you want to do multiple playthroughs, otherwise I'd wait a year til the inevitable big patch that adds a bunch of chapter 3 content.4 RAA2V

There are multiple homo couples in the game that LOUDLY talk about how they're husbands. The deep gnome slaves in the underdark and the fags trying to get past the guards at the beginning of act 3.
I've played the game twice and I legitimately have never seen this. The two lesbian couples are either plot relevant or pop up in a cinematic.

We only got epilogue slides in Throne of Bhaal which was at the end of the story. After two games and and expansion.

I'm not angry, I like the game. I'm just accounting for the gripes people have on Ganker. You could find like five in this very thread which are just some version of the gripes I listed. No point in discussing anything about the quality of the game with a person who thinks its a dealbreaker that the game has two lesbian couples in it.

I swear I've been seeing 1 white for every 10 minorities. It's silly as fuck because even the tieflings and elves have black faces lol.
I don't count the tieflings as white or black, none of the facial presets really look like black people. There are way more white/pale elves than dark skinned elves and that's even including the Drow.

In act 3 voice lines will be straight up skipped and in completely fucked up backwards order if you actually open the dialogue text button to see how it's supposed to be. It is bugged to shit. I noticed cause half the conversations I was having made 0 fucking sense

Act3 was pretty buggy but they pretty much fixed it.
Game will last you around a hundred hours anyway.
None of the choices you make matter in this game at the end. No where near New Vegas' level of choice. You pick to kill the final boss, become the final boss, or give the power to the devil. That's it. Dark urge is just a a normal playthrough with a couple unique cut scenes. It's impossible to do a evil playthrough because of what happens near the end of Act 2.

You might as well wait for a definitive addition at this point. The ending is rushed because they ran out of time and none of your choices matter. The evil path is also completely underdeveloped. All you do is lose content. The game is very buggy. Many feats, spells, and subclass features still don’t work over a month after release. Companion dialogue and story triggers are also bugged so you won’t necessarily know what content you’re missing. Sometimes companions will react to events that never happened in your play through. Additionally the combat balance is a joke on the highest difficulty. It’s an 8/10 game at most when you take the redditor blinders off but it has the potential to be great one day.
wait for the dlc to raise level cap and add some endgame content that is sorely lacking
I dont see any reason to buy it. I love RPGs but this is just an annoying 5e experience thats using the name of a series I actually want to play.
The game outside Act 1 from the EA is an unpolished buggy turd and the writing sucks balls due to Kotaku Writers like pic being part of the team. Act 2 and 3 are horrid even outside of the truckload of bugs and you can tell the characters are written by the worst kinds of coomers possible.

Good guy route is probably fine.
Evil route immediately bugged as soon as I went to Act 3.
I only encountered a really nasty bug that would crash my game in Act 1 if I went to a specific part of the map behind a wall, and I think the romance between women? Maybe I fucked up my just going with lae'zel early on and that's supposed to happen, but I was locked out of any other female. Otherwise, its a damn fine game. Definitely worth the time.

Are you a gay or bi? If the answer is yes you probably love the game. It's an RPG where every party member is bi and has a romance option and wants to fuck you so much it interrupts the rest of the game. I'm 7 hours in and just seeing this start to happen turned me off from the rest of the game. Wish I could still refund.
