It's truly astounding how that despite the importance of dynamic camera angles in horror people have convinced themselves that a singular over the shoulder or first person camera throughout the entire story works for this genre.
He looks like David Lynch, which is as subtle as I'd suspect from Blunder Team.
And as many have said already, they totally don't get that James's apathetic and indifferent state was crucial to the story.
By not getting, or deliberately changing this fundamental part of the game, they already ruined it.
>And as many have said already, they totally don't get that James's apathetic and indifferent state was crucial to the story.
Robot autist James is never coming back. Christophe Gans' movie won't have him either. It's something you'll just have to deal with.
This tbh, iirc Silent Hill 2 used the Silent Hill 1 FMV engine for the entire game, it was only natural to try and remake Silent Hill 2 using the FMVs as a model.
>Bloober
goddamn it Konami. why couldn't you just put a bunch of money into a high quality remake of Silent Hill 2 and maybe the movie since that inspired this whole barrage of new SH content to begin with. meanwhile Capcom are smoking their remakes. frick, get it together Konami.
>you will never see a Silent Hill film directed by David Lynch and written by SH1-2-3 writers >there will never be a good Silent Hill film

What goes through their moronic corporate minds when they decide to remake an old game and change everything the fans loved about it?
How hard is it to just update the graphics up to modern standards and maybe do some QoL changes and leave everything else untouched?
I swear if they just baited everyone and replicated the original E3 2001 trailer with modern graphics I would go and buy a PS5 right now. I wouldn't even be mad if after that the game turns out to be yet another casual cinematic reddit experience like it looks like right now.
Why didn't James just take his Prozac?

He looks like a generic Blender sculpture.
He looks like his mocap actor who is old as frick
They should stop just using the same actor face already. I really wanted to play as CGI James
Honestly he looks more like some weird chinese crosbreed dude who is also a junkie.
>we could have had this

Capcom still has game developers while Konami fired all of them

is the game made on fox engine?
They royally fricked up how james looks
Yeah. He looks weird, cartoonish and overreact too much. I wonder if they will change him, original CGIJames would look cool as frick
