It's not only SC2, e-sports in general is on the way out the concept has been milked dry and people lost interest.
This is specifically SC2s last year because blizzard is cutting support for tournaments.
Blizzard has already stopped funding and the scene is still running.
Some people like hyper competitive hard games, not everything has to be for everyone. Go play fortnite if you want something that's casual and popular.

In SC2 Artosis would never ever take a single map, even if Harstem played with weird handicaps. In BW Artosis would maybe do alright, but only because it's not Harstem's game, if he were to dedicate time to it he'd BTFO Artosis there, too.
Artosis never amounted to anything, not even on ladder. Harstem is an actual premier tournament winner.
