I will never understand the hate this guy gets. He was a good rival for Apollo and one of the most fun prosecutors to battle. I hate that games 5 and 6 threw him to the wayside.

      >one of the most fun prosecutors to battle
He made the single most moronic argument in the history of the series where he asserts that a blind 8 year old grappled a fully grown man the size of a fricking bear into submission, stole his dirty harry xboxhueg gun, shot him, and then dragged him on top of a big tower in the middle of a stage during a performance in front of thousands.
That's not even to mention he is a total wimp who barely even opposes you or defends his own arguments. He is a complete horseshit lawyer and antagonist.

Play the case again. He never asserts that Machi was blind or anything about carrying the body. His argument is just that he shot the manager and fled the scene.
        >That's not even to mention he is a total wimp who barely even opposes you or defends his own arguments.
He opposes Apollo plenty of times. Like in case 2 where he makes Apollo concede that his client had a weapon and was at the scene of the crime.

with a gun that would dislocate the shoulder of a grown man, yes

Yeah, it's bit contrived, but at the time all the evidence pointed to the kid being the shooter, regardless of the dumb bullshit about the moving body.

because he doesn't fricking do anything, that's mainly the cases fault for not giving him moments to shine but still. I love the design and the gimmick, just hate the game he's in

He should have replaced the Paynes as the tutorial prosecutor.
And maybe let him have some case with Phoenix so they can have a "rematch" without Kristoph's bullshit.

They should have done that in Dual Destinies. Preferably the DLC case.

OF COURSE HERR FOREHEAD I ALREADY KNEW THE WITNESS WAS LYING. WHY DO YOU THINK I PUT HIM ON THE STAND?
      >*plays air guitar for 30 seconds*
ACHTUNG, JUDGE THE WITNESS IS CLEARLY LYING! SINCE THE DEFENSE IS SO INCOMPETENT I'D LIKE TO ENTER THIS NEW PIECE OF EVIDENCE INTO THE COURT RECORD.
      >Trucy: Woooow prosecutor Gavin is sooooo cool, why are you so fricking stupid Apollo?

lol basically every witness in the series perjures themselves at some point.

I think he's a likeable enough character, but he's not a good rival and he's probably the least fun prosecutor to battle. He comes across as someone not actually interested in providing the best case to prove the defendant's guilt, which just makes him boring to go up against. Even the shitty prosecutors in the series like Nahyuta at least act as an actual adversary instead of your helper who does a little teasing as he guides you to the answer you're looking for.

I guess that comes down to personal preference. I liked having an opponent who was just a good guy that wanted the truth. I think it works in the sense that his brother Kristoph is the embodiment of everything wrong with the system, but Klavier remains good at heart in spite of the problems in the system.

Similar to how Franziska can whip the defense as well as the judge across the room.

Kino. My personal favourite game in the series. But be prepared, the cases are quite long.

literally everything about AJ is massively overhated. you just learn to filter it out eventually

It's just bad. The only thing it does better than any of the other games is the soundtrack.

It's the only AA game that actually got better for me with a subsequent playthrough. There's a lot of subtle stuff that you'll miss the first time.

One detail i love in this particular sprite is that you can just barely make out a sinister smirk that Gavin is giving out

I liked this because it was the first time a prosecutor had their equivalent of an objection theme.

I just think it’s funny how the localization changes his character. In Japanese, his band is famous in America, and so he uses a bunch of English phrases instead of German.

Why the hell did they change that?

How are they going to adapt that? Have him use a bunch of English words in the English translation?. Lots of translated media have characters who originally used English a lot use German, French, or Spanish as a substitute

They made the Von Karmas Germen in the English version to.
Basically making the bad guys Germem for Americans kek.
