no, I don't need fixing and I've been lifting weights for 10+ years.

I'm asking you why you give out advice that if anything, will only worsen people's posture. Doing a lot of pushups while having a weak upper back, will only bring more disbalance

            Anonymous

Not him, but I used to have bad posture from sitting in the chair all day. A couple of years of pullups and deadlifts and my spine and neck are straight as an arrow. That's why there's such a difference with old people who lift and who don't, the former have back muscles that are not actually atrophied

          Anonymous

You are a fricking moron. Push ups doesn't help with weak traps and neck muscles.

Exercise is the worst possible thing an actual fat frick can do. You should (not) eat your way down to a healthy BMI, and then exercise only lightly (i.e walking) until that point.

Or from Scheuermann disease that many men have undiagnosed until their 30's and by then it becomes too late to do anything about it, because it has to be fixed by bracing since pre puberty. Majority that have posture issues cannot have them fixed with exercise because they are structural and not postural, it is dumbass normalhomosexual advice, the equivalent of telling someone to "go outside" and "be yourself".

half of the reason your head is leaning forward is you don't have butt muscles to bend your lower spine forward, you shouldn't have a perfectly straight lower spine.
humping the air AKA pelvic bridge might help.
Other half of the reason is that you are leaning your head forward as a habit.
You should generally exercise your whole body, if you are an absolute twig, I suggest power walking for an hour if you never walk (lean towards better posture, keeping your head up), then try jogging in bursts.
Pushups for both upper arm and core strength.
      Planking for core.
Squats help with lifting with your legs.
If you got something you can lift as a weight (I used a bag and put heavy stuff into it), you can find a few arm work outs (it's complicated).
I'm not Ganker tho, I do the bare minimum because I don't actually want to look jacked, but I don't want a herniated disk / trying to fix my scoliosis.
I spend like 30 mins jogging/biking and 10 mins on body workouts.
Healthy food and consistent sleep is a bigger priority, you need to think straight, limit the amount you spend on Ganker / time wasters, and just optimize your life.

Another simple piece of advice is to raise your monitor closer to eye level so you are not tilting your head down all the time while looking at your screen. Of course with mobile phones most people mess their necks up really bad looking down at them, worse than bookworms. Hold your phone up closer to your face.

Strengthen core (this does not just mean abs morons)
    Strengthen glutes and hip flexors
Strengthen upper back and neck muscles
    Stretch

This will fix these issues but it will take a long time and you must stop the habit that causes them (sitting on chairs, sitting much in general).

Learn to get comfortable in squat.

Get a yoga chair, sit on floor, or no chair at all (standing desk)
    .
    Also, MOVE. A LOT.

Why are car seats and most computer chairs designed like this then? I swear I have to remove the headrests for almost everything it's just this pain in the neck
