I wish these survival wannabe games actually felt like survival in your own little corner of the broken hostile world instead of just being another progression grinder. At least shelter was actually kinda hood as far as progression pace and monetization goes.
Mr House looked the coolest as a kid.

Learning about Rome ruins Caesar legion cause he didn't do enough justice (in fact, his name should have been Augustus, since he was the first emperor, not Caesar). Still, the expansionist policy to get slaves was accurate
I did a bunch of NCR missions, but NCR just isn't cool looking. NCR is literally America 2.0: why the frick would I play it?
Isn't the whole point about Caesar though is that he's a silly larper who might not even know/care about being called Augustus? He even insists on the Latin pronunciation because he's such a gay, even though it sounds moronic when said in spoken English.
Only courier who has ever cooperates with the Legion in all of my playtime did it because she is a scheming treacherous prostitute who needs to have a finger in every pie, an ear on every wall, and a hole in the eye if every painting. She betrays everyone at the same time at the last moment after gathering all the rewards and information then goes independent.
Good luck running down a Marry Sue junkie with an automatic artillery piece in her hands and a chemical synthesizer in her brain that lets her beind the fricking time, using your landmower machetes and kitchen knife throwing spears, man in a dress.
Honestly that's one of my main problem with New Vegas discussions focusing on the faction: all we get is an open ending of all your choices. That's nice, but I don't really give a shit about whose the best. These are video game factions that represent some ideology and way of life. I don't really care, because I play these games to see how the world is like/reflection of my choices. Seeing NCR get burned down was fun, but I'm not gonna speculate if Legion could beat NCR. It's couple levels above power level wankery.
VoTM Bloodlines didn't talk about what happened to the factions (partially cause it needs to be open ending for canon) but also because that's not the point. New Vegas isn't about which faction is gonna be best for mojave, is that war doesn't change, and everyone is still dipshit morons who on a long enough time scale, will cause nuclear war again.
I'm gonna do a Logan's low-int melee character when I do my legion run, any good ideas for what perks to get? I know I have to get jury rig, but beyond that I dunno.
NCR hit squad >sent a woman to impose fear >"be a good boy or i'll back in 3 days" >call her out >"n-no not now" >leaves and die because got shot in the back
Legion assassins >no subtle aproach >2 phrases and combat stat, be ready or not >way harder to kill than NCRgays
Choice it's obvious.
Legion makes me think we need more reactive faction mechanics in games.
I want to be a fricking terrorist man. I want to blow up enemy faction buildings, burn their crops, watch them starve. The legion terrorist missions was the best, and I want that experience to be used for an entire game
For a second i thought that was lanius in fallout shelter. Damn i miss playing that game, it was a decent time waster

because Hitler good
They better bring them back in a future game.
they made the best argument, simple as

I did not know that. Ironically that makes him cooler to me: he's like that Caesar pretender who attempted to usurp the empire.
I suppose it's poetic, and I find it funny that his intelligence SPECIAL is 4, one less than the mole rat Snuffles'.
A true pseud, bless his soul.
NPC stats aren't supposed to be cannon.
To piss off all the troons who infected the game's fanbase
Troons also hate the NCR if you go full imperialist and do everything Moore says
oh no no no house xisters we got too wienery

you know she gets crucified tho dont you?

i made a woman legionairre who's sole purpose was to speedrun the legion questline
caesar started developing severe mood swings and hysteria
Legion has the best final quest of all the factions, assuming you don't beat Oliver with a speech check.
are they the best choice for the mojave tho?
Not my problem, the mojave disappears when I exit the game.

>Logan's
Why would you take a junkie perk on a Legion character?
because I want to try a Logan's run?
Okay, whatever, but why would you take a junkie perk on a legion character
because I want to have fun chugging mentats and buffout all the time.
for the lulz
The Legion has all the cool characters and it's not even close.
To get 100% cheevos.
I'm a romaboo so I'll die for literally anyone who pronounces Caesar's name right
Lanius is cooler than Caesar so I let him lead the Legion
For the trophy
I hate women
Because I had already finished the other endings.
I CHOOSE TO PLAY A GOOD GAME
What game would that be, fellow anon?
fallout tactics
NCR hit squad
>sent a woman to impose fear
>"be a good boy or i'll back in 3 days"
>call her out
>"n-no not now"
>leaves and die because got shot in the back
Legion assassins
>no subtle aproach

Heterosexual Space Casino Capitalism with Mr. House Characteristics
I'd done the other 3 routes and wanted to see what changed, along with how much I could frick up the legion in act 1 and still steamroll their ending
I didn't. I only played 2 and Tactics.
Play 1
>didn't play 1
>80% of the enjoyment of 2 is seeing how the world evolved from 1
To get all achevements
I have never once in my life sided with the Legion at any point in any singular one of my playthroughs.

Legion was half a faction in every facet of it's execution in New Vegas because they ran out of time
Yea but it still isn't that fun to play. Besides couple of missions they have little content. Ironically they were my favorite content
Caesar was quite progessive for someone larping as a roman
I've never once sided with them.
