They are pretty much the same but, Knight has better graphics, smoother gameplay and the batmobile. If you hate batmobile, then city is better for you. Both have crappy story compared to Asylum tho

I 100% all 4 games in order twice a year. Asylum is at the bottom. The combat is the least complex and the most inconsistent, the boss fights are all completely unfun, the backtracking is the 2nd worst, the section leading up to Poison Ivy is torture, the challenge maps are the most frustrating. It's still a fantastic game but these aspects drag it below the others.

The drone combat isn't the worst, and it's over quickly. the worst part is it being forced down your throat for all the riddler stuff.
People are way too harsh on Knight. Its a good fucking game. The batmobile is fun to drive and the puzzle are fine.
Sure, I'll admit the Batmobile combat against the drones is pretty bad but overall its still an excellent game.
City and Asylum are both are fantastic but City is an improvement and the pinnacle of the series for me. Origins is good but highly flawed and could have benefited from a few months more of polish. Knight isn't terrible but the Bat-tank is so fucking bewildering that I almost just don't consider it part of the series. To hell with the race tracks and drone battles. They could have put all that effort into predator rooms and boss battles.
Knight has the best gameplay but is by far the worst game in the trilogy. Terrible design.
I would rate Origins the best if its upgrade system and the Dark Knight System weren't horrific
