They don't, the fact they specifically have to say no to Soulslike questions multiple times was clear enough message.
>AC incels still believing it won't be mecha souls >AC incels still believing current From will release another 6/10 jump strafe shooter >AC incels still believing their franchise isn't already being hijacked
>Literally spend an entire interview with IGN shooting down every question asking if it's gonna be Souls-like with repeated "no"s
Try harder, shitposter.

Cope harder. I'll be here laughing at you in every single thread once it's out.

Already confirmed it's not >AC incels still believing current From will release another 6/10 jump strafe shooter
Already confirmed it'll be a AC game for AC fans >AC incels still believing their franchise isn't already being hijacked
Oh no having more people play AC kino whatever shall we AC fans do
Man you dumbfuck shitposters gotta step up your game
Yeah, they're still doing that with Deracine for example. They didn't have to do that game but they did it anyway. It's also funny how proud Miyazaki was on that game despite the flop.
I'd have loved to play Deracine, if only it wasn't bound to the most choked-out VR Headset. VR is way too immature of a market to force exclusives on. I honestly am totally fine with exclusives and hate multiplatform titles because the purpose of them is to sell as many copies as possible and that in turn means they are usually casualized shit aimed for the call of duty fanbase they won't get, but you can't do this to VR. People need to see that it's worth doing and making it harder to play the good games it has to offer isn't helping anybody.
I hope so and i'm sure FromSoft are hoping for it. They lucked out with Souls games but i'd imagine they grew tired of the stuff for some time (except for the money).
There is shortage i did the meme kojima levels and werent a threat only annoying poison swamps are one mission of ac1 and another of 3 with the annoying heat mechanic
Oh god.
Oh god this is going to happen isn't it?
If nothing else that bastard Miyazaki will stick a poison fucking swamp in there somewhere won't he?
There is no hope....
There's been a damage over time mission in every classic AC as far as I'm aware. Either a bases radiator is malfunctioning or some acid is in the air.
In AC3 one of the missions if you having to turn off some explosives in a thermal plant.
I honestly find them fun because you usually have to tinker with your mech to find a suitable build for such a mission.
If you actually played AC, you'd know the poison swamps in that series don't bother with a special bar, they just start damaging your health immediately and don't stop until you finish the entire mission or leave the area.
Well, except for the heat version of the poison swamps, which are somehow even worse.
There's plenty of potential audience >Oldfag AC fans >Soulsfags that wanted new thing >Sci-fi fans that are not into Souls stuff >Mecha fans >Mecha fans that uses AC6 as a proxy to make certain devs think that mecha is profitable now so that they can make ZOE3
Why the fuck would they waste time and money shooting themselves in the foot making a sequel to a highly niche series with a notoriously high entry floor when they know all they have to do to sell millions of copies is release Dark Souls for the seventh time but with a giant robot skin?
They have enough money from Souls games to do whatever the fuck they want, and they also actually give enough of a shit to have a specific thing they want to make. That latter part is very rare in the games industry, so I can see why you wouldn't think of it.
>core plot element is advanced anti-kojima nanotech that went rogue and is sabotaging efforts in rebuilding the surface and destroying the assault shell >there are nanomachine swamps and consumable nanocanisters that can be recharged at a source of uncorrupted nanomachines(estus) >ACs that have been taken over by the nanobots(hollows), alongside original mechs created by the nanobot hive mind, show up as enemies >some nanomachine-made mechs look like crabs
Welcome to Armored Core 4B.
Who can blame them? I'm an ACfag primarily, but I've played probably a dozen other From games over the years and they've all been at least decent. Blew my mind recently when I realised on top of all the usual shit, Soulsborne, Kingsfield, AC, they also made the Otogi games.
Honestly their current popularity has given me a little bit of faith in normalfags. Their taste isn't ALWAYS shit, occasionally they can latch on to something good.
Go on then, give us the games you like, share the laughs. I was bold enough to admit to liking something on this godforsaken basketweaving forum, the least you could do is provide the same courtesy.

no, being a coward with secretly shit taste is the cool thing to do here
The premise of a planet whose day is a literal hellfire with no possible life at all other than machines flaying under its surface in a perpetual hellish limbo is souls enough.
So From said shortly after the Ringed City was released that they were making 3 games
One a familiarly designed action RPG game
One a return to a old series
And another being "totally new and different"
Was Sekiro the "totally new" game because that's a shame if it was
They don't. >Literally outright said "This isn't a soulsborne game morons"
They're probably going to bait them with the posture/shield break mechanic in the Taipei showcase along with more FAN THE FLAMES text until they actually get the game and realize it's 20 hours of customizationkino while going through a ten minute mission
>check out videos of previous installments >its just a fucking zoom zoom shooters
Soulscombat would be unironically great. The combat is rather slow which would fit the big sluggish movement of a 500ton metal monster
that's the cool thing
they aren't
>AC incels still believing it won't be mecha souls
>AC incels still believing current From will release another 6/10 jump strafe shooter
>AC incels still believing their franchise isn't already being hijacked
well yeah
they already said as much
over and over, even
>believing PR in 2023
Cope harder. I'll be here laughing at you in every single thread once it's out.
This is what Shazam brainrot does to a person.
>PR that actively turns away a larger audience and panders to a niche one
what a tard
>moron poster is a complete retard
like pottery
>telling your fans to fuck off
That's what you call PR? Fucking retard
>Literally spend an entire interview with IGN shooting down every question asking if it's gonna be Souls-like with repeated "no"s
Try harder, shitposter.
honestly wouldn't mind that if proper dungeons come back as well
>AC incels still believing it won't be mecha souls
Already confirmed it's not

Anon, From has always been making bargain bin passion projects off the backs of their breadwinners. Now AC gets to be carried by Souls' success.
Yeah, they're still doing that with Deracine for example. They didn't have to do that game but they did it anyway. It's also funny how proud Miyazaki was on that game despite the flop.

They don't, the fact they specifically have to say no to Soulslike questions multiple times was clear enough message.
this game will be a masterpiece in its own way. no need to compare or expect a souls like.
I hope so and i'm sure FromSoft are hoping for it. They lucked out with Souls games but i'd imagine they grew tired of the stuff for some time (except for the money).
>just released their most successful game ever
>"I'm sure they are le tired"
>somehow missed the fact that the very story of DS3 was all about how they didn't want to make souls games anymore
It'll be the last one they ever make because it won't sell to souls fans
they don't have to because soulsfags will buy it anyway
>play this game as its mecha and i love mecha
>leave first area
>corrosive poison swamp
>little bar slowly fills up and instakills me when it does
There's no shortage of environmental hazards in the series, mostly unavoidable.

I honestly find them fun because you usually have to tinker with your mech to find a suitable build for such a mission.
that redesign is hideous.
Do people who do the le poison swamperino meme forget he's always been doing this in AC
A lot of the armored core games have overheat damage, which is basically poison status
If you actually played AC, you'd know the poison swamps in that series don't bother with a special bar, they just start damaging your health immediately and don't stop until you finish the entire mission or leave the area.
Well, except for the heat version of the poison swamps, which are somehow even worse.
ac fan is small there is no way they not seek news fan with this
There's plenty of potential audience
>Oldfag AC fans
>Soulsfags that wanted new thing
>Sci-fi fans that are not into Souls stuff
>Mecha fans
>Mecha fans that uses AC6 as a proxy to make certain devs think that mecha is profitable now so that they can make ZOE3
>Spoiler
I hope to God this makes devs make more Mecha games and have Titanfall 3 and ZOE 3 happen and some other ones
Thanks for funding the biggest mech game of all time soulbabs, you can fuck off now
>don't even release the old game on steam
bad PR here
>2023
>PC still port begging
LMAO
exclusives are a blight that's used to justify the continued existence of gimped, locked down PCs that should've died long ago
look boring here
The one thing I expect them to do is change the control scheme at least.
>AC6
>GBO2 showing up after months of silence
Are we finally out of the PC Mech drought?
New Mechwarrior is coming too.
https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/a-new-single-player-mechwarrior-game-is-in-development/
but will Battletech ever return to true sim autism?
>PGI still at the reins
FUCK.
It was done by mitsubishi showing the game trailer at the game awards
>how are they planned
good morning sir
pls do the needful and stop being an eslgay
>so how are they planned to sell this to soulsborne audience.
ESL ESL ESL
Why the fuck would they waste time and money shooting themselves in the foot making a sequel to a highly niche series with a notoriously high entry floor when they know all they have to do to sell millions of copies is release Dark Souls for the seventh time but with a giant robot skin?
devs are /m/echa autists and its a passion project. its that simple really, /m/echa autists rival trainfags in sheer autism levels
They have enough money from Souls games to do whatever the fuck they want, and they also actually give enough of a shit to have a specific thing they want to make. That latter part is very rare in the games industry, so I can see why you wouldn't think of it.
I heard they're going to add a few nods to Dark Souls like having the Moonlight Greatsword as a weapon and Patches as a NPC.
what do you mean nods? the moonlight greatsword and patches were already in other fromsoft games before dark souls.
wtf are you smoking
You gotta learn to detect baits autist-anon.
They don't need to, anon. Any true man feels a stirring in both their hearts and their loins when confronted with a mecha. This game will sell itself.
>core plot element is advanced anti-kojima nanotech that went rogue and is sabotaging efforts in rebuilding the surface and destroying the assault shell

Welcome to Armored Core 4B.
they'll buy anything as long as it has FROM SOFTWARE plastered over it
Who can blame them? I'm an ACfag primarily, but I've played probably a dozen other From games over the years and they've all been at least decent. Blew my mind recently when I realised on top of all the usual shit, Soulsborne, Kingsfield, AC, they also made the Otogi games.
Honestly their current popularity has given me a little bit of faith in normalfags. Their taste isn't ALWAYS shit, occasionally they can latch on to something good.
>non shit taste
>buying the same mediocre game 10 times
Pick one (1)
Sounds like every zoomer gay that plays anime games.
Don't need to, I picked From games.
Ah, so you picked shit taste
Go on then, give us the games you like, share the laughs. I was bold enough to admit to liking something on this godforsaken basketweaving forum, the least you could do is provide the same courtesy.

They don't.

They aren't. Its fucking Armored Core. Get fucked, Soulsshitters.
Pic related, me fighting a ROBOT DINOSAUR later this year whilst Elden Ring players continue to seethe about imaginary DLC.
The "soulsborne audience" will eat anything up .
Have Fromsoftware attached to it.
>not too humanoid
>but distinct enough to not just be a simple tank
I love the mech design
>check out videos of previous installments
>its just a fucking zoom zoom shooters
Soulscombat would be unironically great. The combat is rather slow which would fit the big sluggish movement of a 500ton metal monster
out videos
Opinion discarded.
>only watched footage of 4 and 4A
>thinks this is how all AC games are paced
Imagine thinking your opinion after watching videos means anything.
>Soulscombat
>Le roll around and R1
KWAB
>Check out videos
I consider myself a huge fan of Persona 5 as well anon.
They don't have to, I buy anything that says From Software on it because I know it's quality.
>games companies can't make different products any more
How the hell did these whiners react to Sekiro originally?
They conveniently lump it as Soulslike.
