You don't need to be a strategic bomber. I like pe-2 and similar light bombers. Which have like 4x250kg bombs. Plus a bombsight which is great
they've added jet bombers with laser guided munitions so you can bomb people from 6km altitude directly.

despite not having modules and that sort of stuff the distances and dispersion arent so much bullshit.

That tank in the pic has a range of over 2 kilometers, arround 1.6 miles.
I dont recall any map from WT being that large and being able to even try to hit something so far away. And in WoT is impossible to hit anything with the most accurate gun in the game with all the modules you can get to make it more precise to edge of the "render range" (and yes thats a thing to balance things out)
That size map usually starts to come around at br 5. Then getting more common on higher tiers. When you get the expanded maps. Where the previous lower size is just a smudge in the middle like Poland (?). The lake, village & hill map for example.
A sad part about the big maps is that the game doesn't seem to be made with them in mind. You can drive to the middle, die. Then lose from ticket drain before you get back a second time. Especially if you do get a big map in a lower br with slower tanks
The base map in arma2 is over 200Km^2 wich is twice the size of the large WT maps.
The fun part is that if my tank gets blown, i can instantly jump out and get in another one, or even if i die i can switch the player character into another one. No wait time or anything.
I was thinking more about engagement ranges. Can't remember the whole arma map now. But not too many areas where you get to shoot above 2km right.
has a not so steep hill down to the coast on the south with a small city, the top is like 5km away, and then you have a few sorta flat areas in the west near the edge and arround the airport.
The scenarios are mostly 4 tanks on my unit (with 10 more empty tanks in a "safe spot") against 50 spread all over those 2 places and i need to kill as much as i can while they do some very simple patrols of going back and forth from different places.
Honestly the editor in arma is so much fun to use. You don't need amazing scripts to make fun missions.

We quit playing WoT because updates became slow as molasses and got shoved off to console.
I stopped playing WoT because after ~9k games, the vast majority of them t7+, it was just boring. Also I got too tilted watching my teammates...
I still pick up Blitz every now and then, but I stopped playing the normal game a long time ago. Blitz cuts out all the bullshit and is faster and more to the point, so it doesn't feel as frustrating to play.
WoT is a shitty MOBA with tank models. It was over as soon as WT added ground vehicles.
I tried WarThunder in the ground forces beta and last year. Sure it's not arcade-like like WoT but World of Tanks is just more fun.

WoT today is terrible, barely even a tank game, but some arena battle thing with real and fantasy tank skin. WT is also bad, but not that bad and at least you can have fun in it. Just don't try to get above rank 5.

this was caused by a small patch which changed something in the store.
it's been fixed now.

I have fun up to late tier 3, both planes and tanks, but as soon as I reach battle rating 6.3 i'm facing motherfricking T90 premium tanks and other cold war abominations that scoot around the map at the speed of light and set my tank ablaze in a single shot. Combine that with like 30% of players cheating and you'll get one-shot from nowhere the moment you *JUST* leave the base. Here's your 100000k repair cost for this round, lmao. I hope Gaijin gets fricking nuked.
War Thunder had good fundamentals to build on, but current year WT is just too full of fricking bullshit to be fun any more.

This is actually right. Soviet designers were given impossible, physics defying goals. Had they somehow managed to fill all the requirements, the ships would have easily been the best in the world. Problem was the requirements included things like the Yamato's armament, being even faster USS New Jersey, the fastest battleships ever built, armored to withstand 1000kg bombs and 18 inch cannons, and complete immunity to torpedoes. Hell yes those would be very impressive specs, if they were possible.
