Game updated. Kelvin no longer destroys your treehouse out of spite, new suit for Virginia, new boss, there's a glider, reworked enemies, birds actually eat, you can lock doors and pick up furniture, etc.
We won't be waiting 5+ years for this one to finish it seems.
Dedicated servers is what I want
worse then 1
>then
worse before one what?
Anon is an ESL.
i see far too many native english speakers make the same error
also know people who unironically believe the word is skeleton is pronounced skellington
>still no log sled
I need that shit to haul the logs to my dumb zipline
Trust the plan.
>Kelvin no longer destroys your treehouse out of spite
>out of spite
What? How?
If you tried to order him to chop down trees whilst in close proximity to your treehouse, he'd almost always prioritize the one the house was built on than any other.
Did they cut out the ability to rapidly slide down slopes by opening your build guide notebook?
Yes, along with the stick glitch.
Shit game 0/10 refunding now will chargeback if they refuse
No stick for you
>We won't be waiting 5+ years for this one to finish it seems.
why does it look like she ate literal shit
>game sucks
>only fun is B-sliding down mountains at lighting speed
>devs patch the fun out out of spite
>only fun
Confirmed for not having played the game and is getting autistically mad at the devs for removing a dumb glitch.
>fast movement BAD
>you're supposed to move slowly while flailing axes at cannibals and eating berries reeee
I bet you want them to make it so you can't scale the mountains without having to craft 30 pieces of gear either.
>fast movement BAD
Nobody said this. An unintentional glitch is not how the game is meant to be played.
>noooooooo you can't have a glitch that's fun I HATE fun
>bawwww you HAVE to play the game RIGHT
nap time timmy
Meds.
i get my fun by cosy camping on the beach and making log swastikas
Can you still see her nipples in the new suit?
No, it's a business suit
I meant when it's wet.
It's a leather business suit anon
No.
Well it's trash then.
>the least fascist camper
>he can't jerk off to leather business suits
More for the PMfags then.
Well, no, but I'd rather see the nippa than have her cosplay Iron-Man.
is it eco fascism to cut down trees for such a purpose though?
Just beat it last night, incredibly disappointed by things that won't change.
Caves are linear shit and a huge step down from the first game's interconnected cave systems
Half the caves are single rooms
Giving you the GPS with everything marked was a huge mistake.
I enjoyed a lot of what I played but a lot of the "survival" elements are just kind of pointless. You don't really need to build a base or anything else. Just a few walls here or there, a quick spot to rest. The hunger and thirst meters also don't really do anything, you can level up your strength fast and you can find food everywhere to make easily and drinking river/lake water fills you up very fast. There's no struggle to climbing things so you just sprint up mountains with ease. Combat is also overall fun but mostly pointless and things like the explosives are your answer to everything or using the overpowered bow/crossbow to take down enemies easily and then recoup your ammo back just by picking it up.
I think it's a good game, it just has a bit of an identity crisis. It seems like it wants to be more like a spooky horror kind of game where you crawl around in caves, fighting for your life and scavenging equipment, etc. But you spend more time being a bad ass smashing skulls in easily with your axe and easily finding so much food/etc that your inventory can be completely full in less than 1 in game day. Building is tedious but easy as you smack down trees and build a house in like 1 hour at most.
this was the same problem in the first one. as a survival game, its pretty lacking and the base building is pretty simple. you can't upgrade your structures or anything and there are minimal resources to manage so you end up just rushing the caves.
Which is mostly my problem. You build one base, build some defensive things like a wall and some spikes. And that's it. There's literally no reason to ever do it again. The only thing that building another one somewhere else does is cut down on travel time to your new destination if you plan to go to X cave. And when you can run across the entire map within like 10 minutes at the absolute most, that just isn't enough incentive to build more instead of just saying "yeah I'll just spend the next 5 min running there".
Which is why I say the game wants to be different. The caves, storyline/plot points, reveals like finding the modern underground areas, are all cool and fun. And the caves force you to expend resources/etc so you need to find more. But anything that isn't that is extremely bare bones "crafting" gameplay where you just sprint around the island picking up all the loot you can.
I think the devs should make a 3rd game that is more story focused, more linear, and has more meaningful survival elements, with less building or base-defense things in the entire game. It should be harder to survive, harder to scavenge items, more interesting to do the story content, with puzzles/etc to get around to new places of the island (or whatever the setting would be). All of this crafting, base building bullshit is more of an annoyance than actually interesting gameplay.
