A consultancy firm who polled 13.5k Americans about brands that matter most to them in 2022. Chances are this was the best/only such index Sony found that didn't include Xbox or Nintendo at all (or at least not ahead of Playstation), and I'm guessing most of the polling was done in richie-rich coastal cities if fucking TED made their top 10. Note also that Prophet clarifies that this was only an American poll, whereas Sony claimed this to be an indicator of global brand power. Despite some of these brands also not operating globally.
>"leading category momentum" >using green and red for labeling unspecific brands to imply that they're Xbox and Nintendo
how absolutely talmudic, they're obviously doing fine at this point so why do they have to be so fucking dishonest and hazy with their reports still
>how absolutely talmudic, they're obviously doing fine at this point so why do they have to be so fucking dishonest and hazy with their reports still
Corporate suits don't view dishonesty as a bad thing. They believe lying will give them any advantage at all, even a tiny one, they will lie.
Somebody has to contest this stupid chart at least, there's no way they get away with presenting this stupid shit to investors. Tell the investors Sony is insulting their intelligence.
Nintendo >We sold (x) amount of Switches. We slightly missed our target this past period and have to adjust our estimates for the next period. These games sold this much.
Sony reporting on Playstation figures >WE'RE THE STRONGEST GAMING BRAND IN uhhhhhhh A LEADING CATEGORY yeah that's it A-A-AND WE'RE BEATING uhhhhhh TWO OTHER COMPANIES IN... THIS, UH, LEADING CATEGORY... also hey look THIS WAS THE BEST THIRD-YEAR FEBRUARY IN PLAYSTATION HISTORY WHAT A MOMENTOUS ACHIEVEMENT
Microsoft reporting on Xbox figures >shut the fuck up. you get nothing.
Why are Nintendo seemingly the only ones of the big three who report their financials straightforwardly?
Because Sony and Microsoft are giant conglomerates who have used their own equity as leverage to borrow investment money. Thus they are incentivized to lie, because a drop in stock price could literally cause the company to collapse. Also in the case of microsoft, their entire vidoegame department is just one of the ways they pretend that their company is something more than the distributor of microsoft office, when actually that's the only thing that makes them money or ever fucking has.
For Nintendo, they only sell consoles, content services, and videogames. They basically have to report everything accurately because they don't have a diverse enough product set to cook their books without getting caught. But also, more importantly, they have no reason to lie, their stock price doesn't actually mater to them
Chart only shows "brand" not awards
AC was used for various movements and political campaigns
Show me something Sony did during that time period that was bigger

Probably tweets
Social Media Popularity
If it was something you should know they wouldn't have left the chart unlabeled
Statistics. Which is as nebulous as they want it to be.

Thanks. But yes any measure saying Instant Pot is the 6th most important brand in the world seems incredibly dumb
Pretty sure they just went through twitter
That's even worse if that's the case, since Twitter is INCREDIBLY unreliable for gauging real-world consumer engagement.
instantchads we can't stop fucking winning
What do these numbers actually fucking mean Mason?

Microsoft reporting on Xbox figures
>shut the fuck up. you get nothing.

Microsoft don't really have any obligation to report Xbox figures since it's a small part of their total revenues

You are familiair with so business stuff according your post?
Because Nintendo is the only one among the 3 who aren't hemorrhaging cash from console sales.
If that's the case then why is the chart showing that the PS5 launch was more important than Animal Crossing, the game that ruled the pandemic?
>the game that ruled the pandemic?

> those anal vore shitposts really rile you guys up this bad?
They gave me a fetish for vacuum anal vore so I am suing Ganker
