A consultancy firm who polled 13.5k Americans about brands that matter most to them in 2022. Chances are this was the best/only such index Sony found that didn't include Xbox or Nintendo at all (or at least not ahead of Playstation), and I'm guessing most of the polling was done in richie-rich coastal cities if fucking TED made their top 10. Note also that Prophet clarifies that this was only an American poll, whereas Sony claimed this to be an indicator of global brand power. Despite some of these brands also not operating globally.

Why are Nintendo seemingly the only ones of the big three who report their financials straightforwardly?
Microsoft don't really have any obligation to report Xbox figures since it's a small part of their total revenues
Because Sony and Microsoft are giant conglomerates who have used their own equity as leverage to borrow investment money. Thus they are incentivized to lie, because a drop in stock price could literally cause the company to collapse. Also in the case of microsoft, their entire vidoegame department is just one of the ways they pretend that their company is something more than the distributor of microsoft office, when actually that's the only thing that makes them money or ever fucking has.
For Nintendo, they only sell consoles, content services, and videogames. They basically have to report everything accurately because they don't have a diverse enough product set to cook their books without getting caught. But also, more importantly, they have no reason to lie, their stock price doesn't actually mater to them
