Their strength is big dick damage with up to 10 million atk stats, so crit is natural for them. You can make an argument for additional for Goku same as always for the massive def raise, but add is so fundamentally worse than crit that it's just not worth it.

Gogeta and Vegito's transformations weren't anywhere near as bad, you would still see them often in long events and difficult content, the full heal was also less of an incentive to change it.
Gohan's transformation is barley ever seen at all, to the point that most people probably don't know it exists.

This made me think of an idea. What if they changed the way ki works? While collecting the ki there are random orbs like rainbow and candy orbs that increase your defense/attack permanently for the rest of the fight. That might fix a lot of these units that are useless in difficult content because of their low defense stats.
Either way, the path this game is heading down renders a majority of these units useless. Having to depend on them getting eza's isn't a good strategy. They need to overhaul the combat system.
It's okay for some units in this game just to be useless. There's no PVP so that extreme type of balancing isn't necessary. Completely overhauling the game this far down the road is going to upset more people than it pleases. Just look at how negatively people react to new completely optional game modes that aren't the standard bubble popping, imagine how bad it'd be if that all were forced upon us.

I have Nameku at 90% since this anni and he feels pretty good to me now. Sometimes with units I feel like dupes don't matter the most, but with him it definitely matters. The extra Def and putting a few orbs with def on them as well and he builds up pretty well.

From what others have said, Universal Survival Saga is where it gets hard, idk myself, hopefully that's true
I played it and I am telling you that it gets hard in the Future section. Most of the bosses in that section are TEQ and Future had almost no INT units until now. I barely managed to get through it and I don't have Gohan and Trunks on JP so it was even harder. Vegeta and Trunks will one shot every stage even when they don't have type advantage. The Universal Survival section is a cakewalk compared to that if you have all the LRs which most people do, it's just those last couple stages are a bit tough.

Rare units are so much better, you'll get more uses than the endless amount of anniversary units.
