You put together your setup and select the settings once on whatever game you're playing and you're good to go forever. You can have wireless everything and connect a controller and sit on your couch with a pc hooked up to a TV and just like that you have the console experience, but with far mores options and modular features like modding, etc. that seem to immediately overwhelm the simple minded console player at even the thought of it being there despite it being ignorable entirely. All without paying a subscription for access to your own internet.

They're pretty similar, I'd give the PS5 a 7.5/10 and the Xbox an 8/10. Xbox is higher as I think either the CPU or GPU is a bit better. Xbox also had a program where they gave FPS enhancements to a bunch of 360, XOne, games. So you can play shit like RDR1, DS3, Dishonored, New Vegas, Far Cry 5, at 60fps which is neat.
Of course you wouldn't know about those, you spend your times complaining about them on forums instead of playing.

I've actually been going through all of the Pokemon games starting from Gen 1 all the way up to Sword and shield. I can even use a Rom hack tool called PHHeX to carry over all of my previous Pokemon from the first game to the last as well. It actually pretty fricking nice, as official Pokemon carry-over services actually cost money and i'm doing it for free.

Any game I have to troubleshoot is something I couldn't have played on console in the first place. Usually something with a bunch of mods/ReShade filters getting fricked somewhere along the line. Stuff you buy directly from a site and don't screw with will work out of the box 99% of the time.

The last one I got was a Switch about five years ago, which at least still lets you just pop in and play but the online is some bullshit. The only system I have that does it is the PS4 I got on sale years ago but it's one of the things I hate about the system because it just eats into the memory. Running the game from the data on the blu-ray would be too slow so you need to put it on a HDD or ssd to run it properly.

The autoaim really is atrocious. I played RDR1 for the first time not long ago and I was genuinely shocked at how bad it is. It taught me to never take consolegays seriously when they claim an exclusive is good. Every single combat encounter just boils down to "hold the aim button for a sec, then press fire". Autoaim does ALL the work for you. I brought this up with a console mong friend of mine and he said this is how all games on console work. What the frick.
