I doubt it. There's not really a way to DO that. They already didn't release any tools, used proprietary model formats, and bundled everything into fairly compressed asset files. The only way they could lock it down more (And only would do so if they get as asshurt as Twitter morons over flags) is by heavily encrypting everything or making strict DRM to scan files at startup, which would probably cause performance issues, break a bunch of shit, and piss off way more people than not who had nothing to do with anything on a legitimately smooth port. I don't see it happening.

If you're wondering how it can be used for swinging, you can use it to very quickly bleed momentum and switch directions when swinging, useful for 90 degree turns in chases and the like. If you push back and do it fast in the opposite direction you're going you can usually shoot two webs forward while doing the "slingshot" thing and use it as a brake. It's just a fun tool, not another momentum builder/extra zipline.

I take it since there is no original Peter Parker mod, his model isn't in the game files? Shame. I would have bought the game again on PC for the superior Peter Parker face and the no gay mod.
Be patient, anon, the game is out after one weekend and they built modding tools from the ground up over that time with no dev support. Some of the files are in there but not everything, and they haven't 100% worked out throwing new models in vs. texture swaps. Apparently the head is in there but the textures need to be fixed, including all the pictures of him in frames across the game.
It's literally the most requested mod along side a Symbiote Suit, and there's at least five versions of that on the Raimi suit after three days of modding. It'll happen.
If the devs don't update the game and "accidentally" make modding impossible.

Using your web gadgets really makes up for the linear "tap X" combat. Webbing people to walls and floor never gets old, and you can web up enemies in lots of different game states. Try webbing up more people, I'm halfway through the story and I find it endlessly fun.
If theyre standing next to a wall you can web them. If you web someone tied and throw them into a wall it instantly defeats them too. My favorite is punching someone, web shootering them, then slamming them to the ground by holding triangle, it defeats one guy instantly. If they're stumbled onto the ground, you can instantly web them down too.
All this doesn't even get into the gadgets or suit powers too.
