The team was disbanded anon, SD2 never ever
It probably wouldn’t have been good, those DLCs sucked ass
Honestly if it was a series on international crime then it might slap hard as fuck. I’d play the shit out of a narco game where you are using boxing for your hand to hand
The first dlc definitely outs it as a spiritual successor to True Crime 1.
But honestly the story as a whole was a bit weak. I played through it again recently and it's basically:
The Fast and The Furious but set in Hong Kong with a focus on Kung Fu instead of Street Racing.
They did make a sequel. It was just a shitty mmo that died during the open beta.
If you want to see what Sleeping Dogs as made by the Forspoken team would look like, try the latest Saint's Row game.
>Sleeping Dogs as made by the Forspoken team
I prefer to eat the special soup, frankly
>think I'll get a shitty gta clone
>get pork bun kino
what's this game called?
Lie dormant dogs
Somnolent canines
Eating Dogs
True Crime 3, starring Donnie Yen.
It will release in 2020 in theaters.
farting dogs
Let sleeping dogs lie
This game was ridiculously expensive, and had already previously been cancelled by another publisher.
I can see why, this game was a borderline masterpiece. If the ending had been landed properly, it could have made its way into the Video Game Hall of Fame.
Might be one of the most overrated games of all time
I love this game
>get another shitty WHACKY ZANY LUL SO RANDUM Saints Row game
Game was mid at best. I went into this game with no expectations and still got disappointed. For a game about martial arts, the controls were stiff and awkwardly snappy. Shaolin Monks, a game released at 2005 and on console had much better combat. Even the story was absolutely uninspiring, which was surprising since they had a plethora of Hong Kong media to fall back on
>Young and Dangerous
>Hard Boiled
>Curry and Pepper
>All for the Winner
>God of Gamblers
etc
The voice acting was also fucking garbage. It was like they grabbed random people off the streets whose ancestry was Chinese, but their first language was English. And for a game made about Hong Kong not including LMF in their radio playlists? Not including one of the greatest Hong Kong underground hiphop bands that revolutionized their music industry, and resonated with millions of chinks for their uncensored lyrics and political commentary? They either didn't do their research properly or they didn't want to step on toes - since they included their offchute instead: 24herbs.
Overall experience was as if it was made by second generation immigrants and basedmilk drinking numales who pretend to be culturally savvy to get with the 6/10 diversity hire wooks. Entire game has a feminine touch to it, despite being based around machismo.
>mid
have a nice day.
>hurr durr I'm a morongay
we know
>The voice acting was also fucking garbage
bro, what? If anything, that was one of the game's strongest points.
>Hong Kong
Uh can't have that in 2023
>2021 + 2
>he still doesn't have a pork bun in his hand
United Front lost most of their senior design and programming staff after Sleeping Dogs due to how messy the production was. The director of Sleeping Dogs stuck around and even he said their big ideas for Sleeping Dogs 2, that they had written up, would be difficult to implement as so many key leads that worked on the engine, dev tools, and design of the original had left, and United Front would essentially have to replace all these leads with people who never worked with the tools or on the original in any capacity. He described it as pitching Sleeping Dogs 2 basically like pitching the first game given how much preliminary work would be needed to get the new team up to scratch, as if it were the old team building the first game for the first time, and Square Enix weren't interested in funding that due to how fucking long the first game took to make. It was never gonna happen.
That pic goes fucking hard
>stick game in PS3
>First chase scene is running at 7fps
>Never play again
I was pushed back to pc from ps4 cause I wanted to replay this game and it runs at 30 fps on the ps4.
Why would they? It didn't sell well, and at best it was mediocre with some fun moments.
combat was lacking, melee had few animations (excluding the environment kills) and attacks, there was grand total of four or five enemy types you see from start to finish,
shooting also wasn't that engaging, maybe if they designed it more around parkour like that other game based on john wu script I forgot name
driving was OK but boats and motorcycles sucked
minigames all get boring after third time, I could not bother to finish half of police missions, and I beaten Riddler in BamHam City
Story was okay I guess, dont remember much from it, expect wedding shoot-out,
and mission designe, jesus christ GO TO A MARKER, JUMP ACROSS A GAP TO ANOTHER MARKER, GO TO ANOTHER MARKER, made me had GTA V flashbacks, but at least that one had more variety with your objectives
