What kind of rewrite
Instead of copy paste the data, they rewrite the whole dialogues from the base game manually, hence there might be typos and errors. Or so I believe.
It's clearly referring to the code/engine, not dialogue or anything like that.
That's what I figured but then some moron was talking about the dialouge as if that is getting rewritten.
