76 devs are on record saying they were left high and dry by Todd Howard because he wanted to focus everything on Starfield, and Starfield isn’t multiplayer, so there’s a minor amount of hope to be gleamed from that

        Anonymous

Not true. The beginning of development was like that but when it turned into a mess - Todd and the main development team were forced in to fix and help out because the game wasn't gonna make it's release window. Starfield was put on hold to get fallout 76 released and then stabilized. Don't believe the "starfield has been in development for 25 years" retards.

It feels clunky as fuck honestly. Grabbed it for 13$ and have been dabbling in it as I play 3/NV again. Having fun, but jesus hacking at shit with a knife even feels sluggish.
Weird latency issues, the quick wheel is garbage, can't zoom out without holding the view button, everything is static and you can't move objects around (no random junk for base decor).
You have to pay the gays for a private world, like get fucked bethesda.

        >I hate crafting systems so much.
Why? Because it devalues loot? I feel like that is a balancing and gameplay problem. Crafting should synergize with loot, like by loot being the sole source of blue prints or materials.

          Anonymous

I want to play the game not waste time going around scavenging for ingredient x or killing x amount of enemy y hoping they drop the ingredient I need to craft some shit that is probably barely as powerful as a weapon or armor I can just buy or find as loot. Some games aren't that bad about it but some are terrible with that kind of "grindset".

            Anonymous

So then don't. A good roleplaying game doesn't require crafting. Being a Poindexter who crafts iron daggers all day to build up your crafting skill shouldn't be a prerequisite for saving the day.

It really pisses me off that people have started to equate bugs with literally everything else about games. It's lazy analysis from gaming personalities that have no subject knowledge nor critical method whatsoever so they default to the most visible things any idiot can identify and bald-faced crowd-pleasing. If someone released the actual Matrix, like full reality simulation and everything, but it was buggy and crashed often, it would still be the greatest game of all time. If the occasional bug or glitch seriously impedes your ability to enjoy a game, then you were never all that into the game to begin with.

        Anonymous

It bothers me more that games release buggy and people say "well they fixed the bugs so it's good now" all while completely ignoring if the game is actually good or worth playing in the first place. Bugs themselves generally don't bother me unless they delete my save or something. It seems if you set the bar low enough the public will think terrible games are good as soon as you make them playable so there's no reason to optimize or even fix bugs before release.

I have a feeling it will run like Fallout 4 did on Xbox One; terribly. They could get away with it way back in the past because games in general often ran terribly on consoles but these days this happens much less frequent with modern releases. Bethesda is obviously known for their games having poor performance but I think they've just gone too far this time with their ambition. They're really poor at polishing their games as well
