Explore mid? Like ok? Cool stuff to see at times, but repeat tree / grass / rock/ flora / fauna asset get boring? Why does poorly modelled batman spacesuit guy have to shill mid so hard? Does he not have life? Good day.
Why do you lie so much about this game? You're here all day every day doing this shit trying to trick people into buying the game using complete bullshit lies. That's not a fake webm, it wasn't debunked, and you can find copy and pasted identical assets all over the game on a lot of planets. Why are you lying so much about this game? You do it all day every day.
You're literally using cherry picked footage with game breaking console cheats in order to prove what point exactly? There's more to the game than visiting planets, did you cry every time you ran into the same korok puzzle too?
So you think that justifies lying and calling the webm fake? As if that doesn't naturally occur all the time in the game? If the game's so good why do you feel the need to lie about it to convince others?
I'm NTA but I've got 55 hours and I've only seen one repeated procedural generation. I actually do have some problems with the planets though - there's too much stuff on them. It never feels like I'm in unchartered territory, there's always at least two things every 1km. I *want* barren

It's more likely you're one of the ones that doesn't notice they're playing the same building. I had about 20 hours when I dropped the game and ran into the same mining outpost 3 times, the same research lab 3 times and the same "civilization outpost" twice before I stopped bothering even looking at the waypoints the game gives me all together.

Anonymous
I have seen that happen 6 times already in the 15 hours that i have been playing. You are probably not trying to explore. You just follow markers.

Anonymous
No, I do try to explore. I've fully scanned a dozen planets worth. The only repeat I got was the autonomous dogstar facility

Then you are lying. There are a handfull of structures in the procgen and their repetition is extremly common.

I'm not lying. Perhaps I've just been very lucky.

There is a 0% chance you did "dozens" of planets to completion and only had one repeat. You just aren't noticing them.

I've had that happen 3 times on the same planet to me somewhere in the level 30 system.
>You're literally using cherry picked footage with game breaking console cheats in order to prove what point exactly?
To prove that the two adjacent outposts are identical. Cheats don't matter here, the cheat literally just makes you move faster. The end result would be the exact same even if he moved a snail's pace, an identical outpost.
>Uses console commands to go 10x faster than you are supposed to >Glitches out the land generation because it probably isn't designed to draw that quickly
Lol what a piece of shit amirite???

What do you mean already debunked? Do you want me to record that same place while slowly walking to the identical second outpost? There are no "stopping frames" he's fast travelling forward so the webm doesn't last 3 minutes. Are you an actual shill?
>Uses console commands to go 10x faster than you are supposed to >Glitches out the land generation because it probably isn't designed to draw that quickly
Lol what a piece of shit amirite???
Not how it works. The procgen is based on a seed linked to where you put your landing zone. The POIs are locked in by the time you land. This isn't a glitch and it can happen with any kind of POI. I had 2 identical "signs of life" POIs that were the exact same giant flower about 400 feet apart yesterday.
Is anyone here a fan of Freelancer? How does Starfield compare to it? From videos it looks a lot like Freelancer except with EVA and ship interiors, which appeals to me a lot.
Mass Effect didn't need exploration and benefitted greatly from having enclosed handcrafted environments with attention to detail and world building. This is mindless AI prefab slop for people who literally don't notice that they're repeating the same building 40 times a playthrough because they're so distracted by the loud noises and muzzle flashes.
No it shouldn't have been. One of Mass Effect's strengths is that it doesn't waste time with copy pasted slop but all the locations and areas you spend time in are focused and unique and eventful. There is no benefit to quantity of locations if that quantity is soulless and copypasted.
A random planet's description in ME1 mogs the entirety of writing in Starefield. You can't even visit it, and it still has more thought and world building put into it than all of ShitFlop.

You literally just described starfield in that first sentence tho
>Like swatting the dicks out of your butt in BG3 through dialogue lines is a better rpg than leveling up skills through actions? lol Cope a little more.
No more like building a character and having useful spells and skills and attributes to open up alternate ways to dealing with problems. That kind of thing. Starfield has just as many gays as BG3 btw.
It's like if mass effect had no unique companions and everyone was a generic soldier from your good guy troop or something and also no aliens and your choices don't matter or change the story at all
The choices never mattered anyway, though I agree that the lack of aliens is the biggest difference.
I used to spend a lot of time exploring the planets in ME
The only choices I could recall mattering were companion deaths, maybe how early you get Garrus at the start? Beyond that theres very little difference

To tell the truth, that's exactly what I wanted Mass effect Andromeda to be. I feel like most people in this board have never played Mass effect 1, no one remembers how the game was filled with copy&pasted maps, with the same buildings and the obligatory thresher maw.
And yet exploring with the Mako was still soulful, the game tried to give you some freedom to explore, and you had good places like Luna and the Asteroid in the Bring down the sky dlc to break up sameness of all locations.
Mass effect 1 still had soul, instead of focusing on coomer shit like Asari, the game had plenty of cool aliens like Hanar, elcors, the volus.
Then Mass effect 2 came out and the game tried to turn itself into Call of duty light, exploration was completely disabled, 90% of all weird aliens races were cut from the game so that we would have more slutty asaris everywhere to satisfy the coomers. Mass effect 1 was a proper space opera rpg, mass effect 2 and 3 are just fantasy rpgs with a thin coat of sci fi paint. Might as well call it Fantasy effect.
Andromeda tried to give the players back some exploration and better combat, but the story is truly dogshit, angaras have by themselves proved that all humanoid aliens are garbage, either go full weird like Hanars or drop this pretentious humanoid alien trash.
If Starfield came out in 2012, the same year Mass effect 3 was committing suicide, people everywhere would have called it goty. But this is not 2012 anymore, even indy devs can make games with seamless landing and interplanetary travel those days. And this is really what is holding Starfield back for me, the groundside exploration is good, but anything in space is so badly done that it makes me furious.
And Starfield has less than half the dungeons than Skyrim, did Covid hit Bethesda that hard? Is this why the dungeon team barely made any work?
>Then Mass effect 2 came out and the game tried to turn itself into Call of duty light,
Damn you have literally no idea what you're talking about
If your scope of video games is so shallow that you just compared a 3rd person space RPG to call of duty because they both have shooting you really shouldn't be putting this much time and effort into writing long posts about video games because you just sound ignorant and like someone who only knows 5 games
Why did they add thermal clips then, genius? Mass effect 1 was one of the few games with a cool reloading mechanic, the lore for it even made sense, the logistics of not having to carry extra ammo everywhere is something any soldier would want.
Then me2 comes out and suddenly the entire galaxy has decided to drop infinite ammo for shitty thermal clips that can barely last ten shots. Why add this bullshit mechanic if not to attract the cowabooty/gears of war crowd? Shitting on thermal clips is one of the few things Andromeda did right.
I'm trying to get into it but the performance in New Atlantis is just tanking my PC
I'm looking to upgrade but it won't be for another few months
PC performance is just terrible
its not worth upgrading for this shit, only do it if you have other reasons to upgrade and can't run other games as well. otherwise just wait for the fans to fix this sloppy trash and download the mods that will make it run almost as well as if a professional video game company made the game.
I'm 40 hours in and Starfield is exactly what I wanted.
Lots of randomized stuff to explore, I've started building a outpost which is fun. I want to see how big it can get. My ship is already a massive cargo container incapable of dying, my guns are fully modded out, barely scratched the main story.

No, andromeda doesn't count

I felt the same way. But then I finished the first 10 planets and realized it was the same shit copied into each one and uninstalled it.
You need to have a basic understanding of grammar to enjoy game like mass effect
You wanted Mass Effect to be a clumsy looter shooter with procedurally copy pasted content and bad writing where choices don't matter?
already debunkd
there are 3 stopping frame he used to return to the point

He does it for free
every game in fucking existence has copy and pasted assets...
Yep but most of them don't copy and paste entire dungeons a (literal) countless number of times.
>you have hand made dungeon but only couple of them.... waaaaah dungeons are copy pasteeee

Mass Effect 1's lore and writing puts Starfield to shame.

No, you don't have any lore in starfield and the writing and dialogue sound like rejected big bang theory episode scripts.

You deserve nothing.
Bad?
How many interesting humanoid alien races are there in starfield?
its called Ur Quan Masters retarded millennial
Its actually a good game instead of being a gay sex simulator
Mass Effect is StarTrek punk
Starfield is Nasa punk
Completely different genres
?
Is anyone here a fan of Freelancer? How does Starfield compare to it? From videos it looks a lot like Freelancer except with EVA and ship interiors, which appeals to me a lot.

UC genocide is better
KYS

Is there a single non-pajeet person talking about this game?
A loading simulator?
How else would you load the planets without these 2 second loading screens?
In terms of exploration, this is exactly what Mass Effect should have been.

Mass effect would not exist without aliens and it would be a lot more lame. Stop comparing these two they are as different as dragon age and skyrim
A random planet's description in ME1 mogs the entirety of writing in Starefield. You can't even visit it, and it still has more thought and world building put into it than all of ShitFlop.
>the reapers have good worldbuilding
They were in me1
If they had never revealed their motivations or origins and kept them as these unknowable hp Lovecraft tier entities till the end that would have worked better.
You should read Alastair Reynolds' "Revelation Space". This is book series from which Mass Effect had plagiarized the whole Reapers lore.
>plagiarized
Ecclesiastes 1:9
A scientist on a desolate planet discovers an artifact which turns out to be a beacon that wakes up an ancient near-omnipotent mechanical species programmed to wipe out all intelligent life in the galaxy every few millions years. Call it "inspiration" if you will.
>You can't even visit it
So then why even care?
Mass effect is among the most boring stories I've had the displeasure to sit through in my video games career. Floating entirely on promises that never materialize and then act victimized when people take you to task over it. What a shame.
Empty, generic and boring?
>generic

That's not what generic means my bro.
To do what? The no man's sky thing? Or the fake RPG thing?

Do what? What part of the game is special or unique?
well that also describes mass effect. so yeah. space games are gay
I just gave 2 spart parts to a ship with a dude speaking in a Russian assent. Did I do the best thing or should've had rejected the help?
Don't you have a frontline to get blown up in?
You wanted a shitty game instead of a good one?
trash?
I'm hoping that it gives the same feelings that Mass Effect 1 gave me, no other game came close
It's like if mass effect had no unique companions and everyone was a generic soldier from your good guy troop or something and also no aliens and your choices don't matter or change the story at all
The choices never mattered anyway, though I agree that the lack of aliens is the biggest difference.
I used to spend a lot of time exploring the planets in ME
The choices matter pretty bigly until the very ass end of 3
The only choices I could recall mattering were companion deaths, maybe how early you get Garrus at the start? Beyond that theres very little difference
If you think choices never mattered in ME games, wait until you play Starfield lmao.
Well I don't really expect Beth to have dropped their trappings of the player needs to able to do everything on a single character.
But its that sense of exploration that I've not felt since playing ME1, thats my draw
I feel the same
Why would you want a game to be bad?
Why are you so fucking negative all the time?
Why are you so fucking defensive of billion dollar companies shitting out lazy slop all the time?
Dude you attack indie titles as well so it's not even that.
Starfield is basically the perfect game. I never had an answer to the question, "If you were stuck on an island and could pick only one game, what would it be?" I do now.
Why did you want Mass Effect to be fucking shit?
I'm glad both games exist and offer different experiences.
Goddamn I love space games.
If the game is so good then how come it isnt out for ps5? Is the ps5 too powerful for the game? All signs point to yes.
