What mods do you want to see and expect to see coming out for Starfield when the Creation Kit lands next year? I'm hoping that we get melee weapon customization at weapon workbenches as Todd was too lazy to add them for anything but guns.

starblivion
Religion expansion
Greatly expanded ship options
Mod that makes warp take some time but can be prematurely ended if you respond to things like distress calls or strange scanner readings.
Anthro alien women
Pre-warp civilizations to mess with.
In other words star trek with more furry women.
Based
I would love it if you had to cruise via grave drive to planets and systems first BEFORE you can conveniently fast travel to them, like in the earlier BGS games.
I want various Planet theme mods done by individual mod authors similar to what said.
>Pre-warp civilization
>stone age civilization
>iron age civilization
>xenomorph planet
>dune planet
>star wars planet
etc. I want like 30 of these mods and then to randomly stumble on one while exploring.
Major city overhauls, planet generation overhauls, manual flying to planets, limited fuel, survival mode, no sound in space, better planetary fx, new planet textures, suit leaks, heat leech infestations, more dungeon prefabs, improved enemy ai, improved citizen ai and models, gore mods, sex mods
I have some hope for the major city overhauls. With the cities being open and in very large cells you could have big outskirts and things like Akila's walls being pushed further out. That and more variety with the premade locations you see in procgen terrain would be great. Some procedurally generated towns could help sell the scale of the setting.
>Major city overhauls
of course
>planet generation overhauls
probably not, more likely the same underlying terrain but with more doodads and better parcels
>manual flying to planets
lolno
>limited fuel
of course
>survival mode
of course
>no sound in space
of course
>better planetary fx
of course
>new x textures
yawn
>suit leaks
this could be good actually
>heat leach infestations
maybe?
>more dungeon prefabs
of course, this will also be Beth's CC-sized DLC packages though, mark my words
>improved enemy ai
of course
>improved citizen ai
of course
>gore mods
of course

of course
Missing windows for player housing, higher damage combat mods, more robot companions, more ship parts, and outpost overhauls a la Sim Settlements.
>manual flying to planets
this will never happen
look at open cities in skyrim, barely works
It's already in the game, the only thing missing is the option to land when you reach those planets, that is going to be really fucking easy to code. You would have thought real time building in Bethesda games was impossible until modders did it. Skyrim open cities works fine in SE now it's 64 bit.
delusional drone
No, just someone with extensive modding experience, you malfunctioning excuse for a human.
cope you will never EVER fly seamlessly to another planet in that dogshit engine
Why are you so ass pained about Bethesda? Did Todd diddle you?
moron you already can. What don't you understand? Also seek therapy, lashing out at people like the weak little gay you are is unhealthy.
post a video of you flying from one planet to another and LANDING
I'll wait bitch
>they'll never see me move my goalposts!
>you already can
prove it then bitch
*yawns*
You really think something like "Press R to land" can't be modded in once you fly there, brainlet? Or are you incapable of reading and somehow think interplanetary flight = seamless landing
oh you mean press R to load screen into the planet cell
lmfao
Yeah, that's how it works
I'm glad you finally managed to extrapolate that fact from clearly worded posts anon. Proud of you.
yeah morons sorry to break it to you but that's not what normal people refer to when they say "seamless"
>ctrl+f "seamless"
>nobody mentioned seamless other than you
>yeah morons sorry to break it to you but that's not what normal people refer to when they say "seamless"
What did you mean by this anon
yeah and you replied to me, retard
>yeah and you replied to me, retard
Topkek. You just know that anon is getting emotional.
>reply to a post saying starshit will never have seamless travel
>b-b-ut only you talked about seamless travel
learn to argue and only then reply to me again
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you moron? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.
>not tailoring this copypasta to be about having 300 confirmed arguments
tut tut

uhhhh
>Major city overhauls
If this game is built anything like Fallout 4, that would probably break precombines and destroy performance on low-mid range PCs.
Basically this.
Also an Interesting NPCs mod.
And generally some stuff almost like Starsector. Better economy, proper smuggling, being able to make your own faction, building proper cities.
Actual choices. No essential NPCs and a world that will react accordingly depending on who's dead. A NG+ that would actually have massive impacts.
Bigger ships with more stuff they can do.
lots of things but in the realm of general gameplay improvement here's a few
>Means to sell stolen ships at a greater profit margin, without the rigmaroo of paying 80% of a ships value to register it
>Weapon and suit crafting modified so with resources, perks and or research, you can improve the base stats of the gear you've spent time modding or like the aesthetic of
>events that can happen on-board your ship, break up the monotony a bit. Give a reason to go around your ship.
>alternate start mods, I don't like being the master of every guild and prefer to create a character specifically for that without going through constellation/the opening sequence
>Means to sell stolen ships at a greater profit margin, without the rigmaroo of paying 80% of a ships value to register it
I'd rather they let you hire a captain for it and let it fight with you. Even if its only in space.
Planet where you crash-land, wake up in wagon with your wrists tied and just play through Skyrim.
Skyrim is smaller than the day 1 patch.. You could do this as a mod. Lol
will it be possible to mod in background loading or are we doomed forever to look at loading screens?
I want an economy overhaul just like Skyrim. Any weapon or contraband you sold has a probability of being in the hands of bandits and random npcs. So if you're selling the highest grade weapon and exploiting merchants, then expect that shift to occur per planet
I dont understand the gameplay implications of this. are you supposed to not sell you goods? or is this some kind of backwards implementation of level scaling?
It gets more interesting when you pair it with weapon mods so it's level scaling implemented seamlessly, in practice.
>are you not supposed to sell goods
A mod like Evolving Value Economy or Trade and Barter addresses cheating actually. Back then in vanilla, you could wait a week and keep selling Daedric daggers to a merchant for easy septums
>addresses cheating
you need to install mods to stop yourself from cheating? why not, just.. not cheat?
You're awfully crafty when you know what I meant. I suggested an existant mod, end of that
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26325
>you know what I meant.
I don't know what you meant outside of the words you type. the words you typed implies you need a mod to stop yourself from cheating
Have you heard of immersion? Why do people install these mods if they know exploits are available? I suppose I could ask rhetoric questions too if you're doing it
can you explain what immersion has to do with cheating? you've assumed a connection that isn't clear to the rest of us
Who's us? The average person could have made different choices per playthrough so if you done exploits once, it'll be beneath you once you install immersion mods. I played vanilla skyrim on release so this might not make sense to a Special edition or Anniversary player. Did you really think I would deliberately cheat twice and ruin my experience?
>Did you really think I would deliberately cheat twice and ruin my experience?
I suppose so, because you cheated once and ruined your experience. I guess you need guard-rails to control your behavior since you can't do it yourself. let me guess, you're a christcuck? you need an external moral framework to function because you can't operate otherwise?
>I guess you need guard-rails to control your behavior since you can't do it yourself
>can't do it yourself
This sounded a lot better in your head
elaborate on the point you believe you're making here
looking forward to an AI & difficulty rebalance. playing on very hard has been a joke because enemies mostly just AFK. but then you go into space and get instagibbed in 3v1s. I want to feel like I'm being punished by tge difficulty level but it feels like I'm just being trolled by bad enemy implementations
I want a mod that counts the number of load screens, and how much time I spend loading vs playing. I bet the game is like 70% loading time, 1500 load screens.
>less loading screens
>reworked main quest that gives you choice
>reworked side quests that give you choice
>better performance
>less shitty companions
>better exploration
>better dialogue
basically a new game
>>less loading screens
probably a hard limitation of the engine. don't hold your breath
main quest that gives you choice
what sort of choice do you want?
>>less shitty companions
elaborate. just better AI or better storylines?
exploration
???
dialogue
isn't this just "better/story/quest/companions" again?
>elaborate. just better AI or better storylines?
not him, but its obvious as hell that bethesda put all their effort into the 4 Constellation companions.
like every single non-constellation companion turns into an almost Mute nobody the moment you recruit them.
like for example if you take Barret or Sarah with you for the whole UC Vanguard questline, he will comment and chime in during the whole quest and even impact dialogue since NPC's will respond to them.
but you take someone Supervisor Lin, Heller, Or hell, you get lucky ands manage to find Amelia Airheart before doing so? nope, they basically just follow you around mute not saying a single word as if they ain't even there
>what sort of choice do you want?
the ability to say no would be nice
the ability to break questlines by killing people would be nice
the ability to actually piss factions off would be nice
if persuasion meant anything, that would be nice
the ability to say "fuck off" to constellation would be nice as well
>elaborate. just better AI or better storylines?
more compelling companions
the whole "one of them dies" thing falls flat when I couldn't care less about them
>???
ProcGen planets and locations aren't fun.
>isn't this just "better/story/quest/companions" again?
I was talking about the quality of the writing itself.
and constellation companions got the long end of the stick compared to other companions, which is a shame because I really couldn't give a fuck about constellation in the slightest
>say no
>kill people
>anger factions
>bail on constellation
I'm really confused... you just want the option to abort the main story at random? what does that add to the game for you?
To be more specific, I hate this game and its fake dialogue options.
It boils down to:
>yes
>no (yes) / sarcastic yes
>info
>info
I also hate how background related stuff or any other character specific dialogue is basically more exposition before the same canned lines. I want my actions to mean something. I want an RPG of some kind. I can go into every single faction headquarters and shoot the place up and no one part of a quest will give two shits. You can purposely fuck up the corpo sabotage quest by shooting your way through and the game will advance the quest anyway like you did nothing wrong. Give me consequence. Give me the possibility to actually roleplay.
Starfield having it's whole core main quest anchored on the idea of having the player play through the game again to experience new choices yet having Bethesda's least reactive world has got to be one of the most baffling game development decisions in the past decade.
What's even more crazy:
>be starborn
>have an extra dialogue options in most quests
>the only thing that you can affect is preventing a companion from dying
>even then it doesn't matter because you restart the main quest anyway when you enter another universe
I hoped this game was going to learn something from past mistakes.
I want to defend them as the story isn't set up for big inter-faction warfare, but stupid shit like Ranger Pryce not acknowledging if you had helped him beforehand with Sam's companion quest is irritating. Being able to have some factions be exclusive from each other would be great. Vanguard and Ranger membership already have their own perks after all.
I genuinely want to see Starfield 2 with mechs similar to FO4 power armor, faction warfare, and proper town building.
Bethesda doesn't do exclusivity. It has worked so far because games like Oblivion and Skyrim have factions that play into the strengths of specific playstyles. Starfield doesn't have factions that focus on different playstyles, which makes the problem shine through more.
>Bethesda doesn't do exclusivity.
Go home, zoomie.
>um actually they did it two decades ago so checkmate
okay grandpa
I want to the see the galactic republic and trade federation, I mean united colonies and freestar collective at war with each other
the entire persuasion system needs a rework. I never once felt like I was being rewarded for good decisions or making interesting choices. it's just a crapshoot; click random things get random rewards
Something to make outposts more useful. I love the snazzy revolver you get as part of the Freestar Ranger questline, but 7.5 ammo is so rare. Being able to automate creation of guns, ammo, consumeables, and all potential inputs for them by chaining together outposts would be grand.
it blew my mind that ammo crafting wasn't a thing.
Bodyslide
I am not going to touch Starfield until ATF gets some mods out for it.
What's "all the fallen"?
Pedo mod site
Hey guys did you know ATF? Look, ATF! Hey, guys, look! ATF! Ohh the "normies" will be so mad when they see this! I'm so based (and redpilled)
Over exposure? What's that? I want everyone to know of it. Join my facebook group where we post the hottest e-boi memes!
I'd install it (I put 22 hours in and I can't do it anymore) if space combat and control was completely overhauled.
>crew can pilot your ship or other ships in your "fleet" and fly with you in loose formations
>larger class of ship to act as deep space carrier that can carry 2 or 3 smaller ships
>allowing longer range lock on with extreme range torpedos
>overhauled anti-missile system (like a keybind for chaff, flare, and EM decoys)
>space walk EVA so you can board ships you disable without having to dock or emergency jettison from a destroyed ship
>space stations you can build and manage to operate like outposts but with also ship building
>ability to hail NPCs for story missions so I don't have to dock to talk to them
Based on datamining space stations at least might be coming with DLC.
I feel you with carriers. I love freighters in No Man's Sky and being able to have my buddies sortie from them. Recruiting mercenary ships should at least be doable with mods. I personally hope that the three weapon limit is modded out so I can use my numpad or something to have access to a huge array of weapons depending on the situation.
Datamining? Any evidence? Anything else neat that seems to be coming?
All of the space station parts are in the game and can be used in the ship builder with console commands. Admittedly that could mean nothing for official content, but it does add room for modders to hijack the ship building system for space station building.
neato
uohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I wonder how many people fully expect ES6 to look good even after Starfield was released
starfield was the fastest selling game in bethesda history. es6 will break those records too. you guys seem to think that for a game to be successful, it needs to be an unfailing, unfaultable masterpiece. it doesn't. it just needs to be fun and interesting. es6 will be fun an interesting
>he thinks a game selling well means its fun and interesting
>ackshully it broke records for bethesda because its boring and bland
oh ok, thanks for correcting me. your take makes more sense
>billions of flies eat shit
>it must be delicious
Radiant ai
I find it very puzzling how Bethesda fans pretend that mods that fix all of Bethesda's fuckups and change everything about the game make the game good. That shouldn't be acceptable.
I'm too used to it at this point. I remember putting down Skyrim after playing 20 hours at launch, but now it's one of my top played games across LE, SE, and VR. Sure something like BG3 is out of the gate a better game, but long term I'll keep coming back to Starfield to fuck around with mods.
No one hates Fallout 4 as much as the top Fallout 4 modders. Only normies living in blissful ignorance find Bethshit acceptable.
- making colonies (I'm white)
- more immersive and interactable ship interiors, implement the apartment decoration feature for ship interior and remove the random clutter that comes with certain modules
- rebalanced economy with actual economy sim
- expanded manufacturing (ship parts and weapons, including research for them plus deals with manufacturers) and outpost buildings
- improved logistics
- ability to import/export species
- pets
- speeder bikes or some kind of ATV
- more capital ships that can be destroyed/boarded
- interplanetary flight made practical with sublight drives
- more dynamic events/ hidden things in interplanetary space
- more lethal combat (for both player and enemies)
- more melee weapons
- more star systems way out on the fringes with possibility for first contact with actual ayys
- some truly barren planets
- space station crafting
There's shitloads more, some of which I'll work on myself.
>interplanetary flight made practical with sublight drives
I think this is actually very likely once the SFCK gets released. You can already 'simulate' this mod with adjusting the internal timescale, it really shouldn't be hard to accomplish. Probably the hardest part will be forcing space cells to unload and triggering encounters.
Exactly, the stuff for space station building is in the game as well but isn't used so there's going to be a lot of requested features that come online within the first week or so of Creation Kit.
VR
VR
VR
literally not buying it until the VR mod
best gaming i ever done did with skyrim vr and fallout 4 vr
So in 5 years maybe if VR isn't dead by then.
How do I fucking into what version of what mod actually goddamn works in VR? I'm pissed it's so convoluted.
I don't have much hope. They only did both of those ports because Sony bribed them pre Microsoft buyout. They never even ported the DLCs over to FO4. Maybe modders will make it happen, but I kind of doubt it as the mass of chud modders for New Vegas were never able to port that over either. It's not like the game doesn't perform substandard right now flatscreen anyways.
Also, pic related lmao.
>All of the fallen
Her in your ship I guess
Why is that little girl's knees all red?
It's a mystery.
Yes
You need fertile wives in order to settle new frontiers.
Faster walk speed
Ship uncapper
More expensive ships and ship parts
I just want a mod to make my companions put their fucking space suits on on planets with no goddamn air. And to remove those fucking coffee cups from those planets as well.
Goddamnit Todd.
NG+ improvements.
>keep settlements, inventory
>more and more drastic changes per NG+
>more and more drastic changes per NG+
yeah that be cool, more constellation variants, NPC changes/swaps
Be cool to have a completely different setting but that's likely a pipe dream, I settle for some "fracture" item mods though
>constellation variants
>everyone is starborn
>everyone but VASCO is a robot
>the lodge is actually a restaurant
>role swap
>gender bend
>no lodge at all
>(You)r the head of constellation
honestly the possibilities are endless
>my insane weapon mod isn't lore friendly?
>nah mate it's just from a different universe
all mode are canon now boys
>weapons and gear from a universe where the Warring Stars period pits the Unified Clans and Free Ronin against each other
Waifu ships
Better crowd ambiance in cities. Crowd chatter and music being played at bars and such.
Speaking of which, have you guys noticed at the Well in New Atlantis, they play the same crowd ambiance from RCT2. It's exactly the same. 20 YEAR OLD crowd noise, they couldn't even bother to record their own or pick something less recognizable.
>Starfield is a really good value.
I would laugh if I hadn't dropped $70 on this insult
okay I'm laughing anyway
Hello ConeTheReal
Sex mods obviously.
e-bois as crew members, or e-boify the adult members.
Bigger spaceship interiors, or at least customization of the interiors so I can create rooms however I want.
More locations to planets, specially cities with friendly NPCs instead of just enemies.
Fucking humanoid aliens, or just straight up put Mass Effect races in like the Asari and stuff.
Based
Basic companion AI and system improvements will help too. I hope that modders get on it so I can manage a tight squad like Mass Effect or something.
NG+ that resets your character. There's enough justification for a complete respecc on NG+ in the story, but just showing up at the start of the game with nothing but your fancy new ship is pretty lame.
Why wouldn't you just start a regular new game in that case?
Don't want to start at level 1 again. I have 90 goddamn hours to get to NG+, I'm not doing it all again if I have the option.
So you mean your traits and background and shit rather than your whole character? I could get behind that
And a perk respec, yeah. I'd even just settle for a perk respec.
Basically I see it as the Unity really letting you completely rewrite who you are. Half of Constellation talks about how you might not be you after becoming Starborn anyway. You always have the option of just doing the same character again, but I figure NG+ is a great time to try stuff you didn't before. Respec into lasers and outpost management instead of Ballistics and Ships or whatever. In your new life maybe you want to have been a Varuun adherent instead of a Freestar Citizen etc etc. The whole point of the Unity feels like its asking what ifs about who you are and yet you go from one universe to another and are just the same person? Wasted potential imo.
PROTIP: google the text in OPs image in quotes to find out why you are on a list for replying to this thread
I just get a result about my local co-op supermarket? kek
>using the internet
>not being on a list
Every single person who accesses this site for more than once a week is and has already been on a list since September 11th, 2001.
It's probably a forum where you need to post 3 before access?
Game sorely needs a general inventory UI overhaul.
It needs to have information about how many of an item you already have in inventory or storage at vendors
Split Food and Aid items
Ability to organize by weight, value etc but in both directions, so you can look at the least heavy or least valued items first.
Ability to compare vendor items to all your weapons, not just currently equipped.
Less transitions between UI elements in general, since you're using them so often.
For other stuff
Add snap points to outpost building things, its fucking awful to make anything coherent.
Ability to upgrade your gear so you uniques don't become irrelevant in an hour.
More interesting weapon/suit modding in general
Reduce the requirement for swapping backpack types to basic. If I find a cool pack I want to switch to my preferred type, instead of being stuck with good stats on a skip pack (I just don't like them if you do whatever).
I expect the obligatory companion AI overhaul, as well as a multiple follower mod. Probably also a mod that either adds more specialists to recruit or gives every NPC skills and lets you recruit anyone. Other than that I just want a mod to save and hotkey power system setups, it's kind of awkward on keyboard. I'd love to see a Star Trek overhaul, personally, but I'm sure we'll just end up with a bunch of Star Wars shit, as usual.
There's already an early version of StarUI that at least has organization. The same guy made FallUI for F4, which had a lot of good sorting/organization features and added sub-categories. It also made the HUD pretty customizable. If that's anything to go by, we should get some good options in the future.
>Less transitions between UI elements in general, since you're using them so often.
The Undelayed Menus mod makes navigating menus/fast travelling so much faster. It's even compatible with StarUI without a patch.
>don't get a survey data item for completing a whole system
That feels like I just wasted my time
suddenly
life has new meaning to me

Polygamy mod
Realistically speaking. We better be able to expand or add to space. What are the boundaries?
Be able to add floating bases. Creation Kit better allow docking stations so we can dock anywhere (as you would a ship or port). Then have a separate loading area for the planet or base.
Must be able to use a decent amount of generated tiles and save it as a land.
More houses, more waifus, and mods that won't force me to start a new play though. Wouldn't want to restart a NG+50 by the time good mods start coming out.
BHUNP + opensex + Schlongs of Starfield
The Creation Kit isn't coming out until 2024, so there won't really be any worthwhile mods until later into 2024. Cuter e-bois is a must, though.
>What mods do you want to see and expect to see
Stargate. That's basically it.
I want all of the lore in this game removed, which is pretty easy when there is none, and have it be completely replaced with a massive Stargate overhaul. And then since every inhabited planet will have a gate, make it so that you have to earn your first hyperspace capable ship with mods equivalent to Requiem for Skyrim.
Might take 5 years to happen though, so until then I'll have to make do with an official survival/hardcore update/DLC.
Figured this is the right thread to ask but is there a mod to bypass the "minimal graphics card" popup before the game launches? Can't even play the game with my 3070 and I lobotomized my Windows install so hard that it literally cannot update to 22H2 or whatever. It's not running on integrated graphics and I already have the latest nvidia drivers.
Replace VASCO with E3N from Infinite Warfare
Add Sherry as a romance companion.
I really want 2 skill points per level and some sort of space ship chop shop to make selling stolen ships less stupid.
