>$400,000,000 budget
>6,000,000 players
>6m x $70 = $420,000,000
>assumes no one played it on gamepass
>assumes no one pirated
>assumes no one refunded
Was Starfield the worst launch in recent Bethesda history?
>$400,000,000 budget
>6,000,000 players
>6m x $70 = $420,000,000
>assumes no one played it on gamepass

Was Starfield the worst launch in recent Bethesda history?
I doubt they would count pirated copies on that
Easy way to inflate numbers without straight up lying. I doubt they'd pass up on the opportunity.
bump
>6 million
thats just unrealistic
gamepass has 25 million subs, that means are bare minimum,19 million game pass subs didnt even bother installing it.
anyone saying 6 mil is unrealistic is on massive snoy cope
>not even half of goypass users played it
yep
the people saying 6 million is too high a number and that todd is lying are ironically missing the bigger failure here
I'd be curious to know how many of those 25 Million subs were on the $1 trial, and now that the trial is gone, what are the subscriber numbers?
realistically number is probably higher because they are forcing all XBL gold accounts over to Game Pass since they last gave the 25m number, but we won't know for sure until they give new numbers.
Good point anon
>Newfags miss the most obvious joke on Ganker
Except there is no door blocking that 6mil. It's not a joke at all. Anyway SNOY and Tendies and New gays gonna seethe.
I like these sort of posts that ride the line between ESL gibberish and autistically derived illiteracy. It’s almost 50/50.
They're really weird. Like I can't tell if they're full on retarded, a tourist here to defend Starfield's honor, or a bot. I can see that figure in particular and the jokes about it being hard for the bots to decipher.
How dare you both deny the 6mil is real?
>There was enough airflow even if the case was wooden! They still could have gotten an RTX to run it!
Not promoting this shitshow of a game, but it would be hilarious to see how the conversations here are going to end up in some gaming journalist website justifying their "legitmate" sales.
How can the journalist understand wooden casing and $6mil price tag for a spase game? they don't understand and don't deserve it, they're deniers. There's so many deniers here in Ganker it's absurd this site still alive.
They said they had 1 million concurrent players across all platforms. This had early access for steam which was around 250k and about 330k at full release but not at the time they made these 2 announcements. Extrapolating and trying to guess the total number of players since they can't all be playing at the same time, the best guess is that about 1 million paid early access and 5 million on gamepass. Now, since they haven't updated that 1 million concurrent players and it hasn't hit another milestone they can brag about, what you got here is that for every 1 million playing concurrently, 5 millions aren't playing at the same time. Why this idea feels weird is that this is an rpg so you should be playing it longer. Wouldn't you think the numbers would be higher for concurrent players even by accidental overlap? Doesn't that mean that as many people that are playing, we've got an equal amount leaving that it doesn't reach maybe the next possible milestone they can brag about is 1.5m concurrent players.
Holy shit numberfags really are retarded aren't they.
>Fallout 4 sold 12 million copies on day one
>OP equation doesn't factor taxes or any other expenses
Let's not forget different edition releases throughout the ten years, SNOY and tendies and new gays will seeeeethe so hard their teeth sucks in.
A high estimate is $400 million.
That's like a trillion Pajeet dollars
They had 500 people working on it and they still ended up making shit. How is that even possible?
20 MILLION COPY SOLD
2 BILLION DOLLAR
just cope
>6,000,000 players
>6m x $70 = $420,000,000
pajeet/Hispanic logic, those who have goypass certainly don't pay for the game and it's 2/3 of those numbers, at a minimum
no one played it on gamepass
no one pirated
no one refunded
>Being as charitable as possible to show that the real figure is probably far far worse
You good?
Shit game. can't get it to run on any of my fucking hardware tried two good gameing pc's tried updating chipset tried drivers (nope) updating graphics card drivers (nope) tried windows updates (fuck no) disabled anti virus (this did fuck all) even tried useing my own blood to make a pentagram on my pc and sell my soul (of course nope) fuck this game fuck Todd Howard I hope this company gets killed by Microsoft
Works on my machine
im getting 60 fps on a 1660 lmao
At 540p with FSR VRS & resolution scaling all low settings lmao
if it works, it works. don't think i'll even end up finishing the game though.
Journy giving it bad score are as bad as any hollacoast deniers.
The thing abut gamepass is it only matters if the influx of new and return subscribers are able to cover the cost. There is a reason movie streaming sub services haven't been the gold mine companies thought they would be.
if you can datamine all 100% steam data, i can guarantee you 90% of indie pixelshit sales are unplayed and just backlogs in those 90% buyers.
Problem with your math is it fails to take into account steam taking 30%
So it's even worse. Holy shit.
>>6m x $70 = $420,000,000
that's also assuming no one played it on steam because valve takes 30%
>6 hours in, already tired of matteo
>pull out shotgun in the lodge and shoot him in the face
>takes no damage
>doesn't even react to being shot in the face
>nobody else reacts either
bravo todd
KINO
atheist cuck BTFO
Emil is a heretic, you fool.
>6M * $70
Why would Bethesda get the game's entire sale price in revenue?
To be charitable and demonstrate that even if every single player bought the game at full price and the proceeds went directly to Bethesda in full, they still only barely broke even. Meaning they still haven't even come close to so making their money back, let alone turn a profit.
You're a gay
Why would you assume Starfield had BG3's budget? They didn't use Tencent to market like Larian. If they did they'd be operating at a loss like BG3.
This is what makes me assume their budget, dipshit.
>a credible person said so on Neogaf
It will never stops to be funny how Ganker who was always against the mainstream now argues with shit like IGN scores, Reddit memes, Neogaf experts to shit on the less than popular Starfield and suck off the normalfag tier BG3.
>over 16 posts today alone

It's a typical bethesda game, full of bugs,
shitty UI, boring talks, shit-tier navigation, ugliness, while asking you to have a NASA PC to run it properly. I'm afraid even the best modders out there can't make this game playable (not even talking about "good" since that is literally impossible). I understand pirates - they play everything. But paying for bethesda game pre- or on release - you gotta be very retarded.
>6×70
what?
The game costs 70 dollars you fucking braindead simpleton.
6 X 7 X 1,000,000 = 42,000,000
You + Ganker = even more retarded
Did you uh... Not see the "M" directly after the 6?
6 BILLION PLAYOURS SIRS
