Announcing a second version of the handheld PC kills all interest in the first version when it hasn't even been a year since it was released.
Why did valve betray gen 1 buyers? Was this a paypig device the whole time?
Nintendo wanted to have one performance level and keep it consistent throughout. But valve wants to shit out 50 versions of the deck?
Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
Stop believing steam.

Why on Earth does Valve keep producing physical merchandise? It didn't happen this year, but I'm prepared to buy a Steam Deck 1 for $7 next Christmas. Those tax write-offs must be legendary.
Unlike consoles, the Steam Deck doesn't instantly become irrelevant when they announce a new one. New games will keep being available on Steam Deck even when and if the second one comes out, and also for well beyond that.
>PCGoysN
>he thinks it will come anytime soon
how's that valve index 2? or steam controller 2?
>goyslop "journalist" makes an "article" based on a rumor
>morons eat it up
yep, it's Ganker allright
nothing has been announced.
both the deck 2 and the switch pro will come out bundled with half life 3 and bloodborne
source: leakers online
This is literally pure speculation for click bait and you’re this upset over it
They didn't Announced shit and beside a second version isn't needed, the deck is only good with 2d games or isometric 3d
>Clickbait bullshit
Valve didn't announce a Steam Deck 2, they said they would make one at some point
AMD's new APU with the performance gains aren't going to be used for a Steam Deck 2 but Valves standalone VR headset Quest competitor, the Deckard
>AMD's new APU with the performance gains aren't going to be used for a Steam Deck 2 but Valves standalone VR headset Quest competitor, the Deckard
Thats something still entirely based on rumor with zero concrete evidence behind it.
>they said they would make one at some point
They didn't even say that.
They said they're working on a new version that has a better (OLED) screen and better battery life, the base specs will remain the same other than that.
yeah, but they also said a more powerful model would come out eventually
Bought the first and love it, why would I seethe about a new one? Did PS4 owners feel betrayed when the PS5 came out?
People who bought a PS4 the day before PS5 was announced felt betrayed
>has to make deck hate threads because the normal ones keep dying
>Here's everything we know
Every journalist who uses this phrase to write another content-free article deserves to be shot.
>shartifact schizo got tired of having his shitty threqds deleted on sight so he has to disguise himself as deck hater
LOL
are there any articles on confessed paid shills who never stop spamming online forums?
Why does the existence of the deck attract so many mentally ill homosexuals?
Shartifact, the rugga Black person, the discord troons, the schizo, the arkworthy homosexual, the flop shitter pajeet.
Did valve coat it in some moron-attractor?
Thanks for beta testing.
you will never be the artifact schizo.
pathetic larp thread, next.
Artifact was a terrible shitty game, and people wonder why valve killed it.
They where losing money.
New phone is announced.
>thanks for beta testing
I’ve had my deck for about a week and I like it 🙂
>Announcing a Deck 2 before a Steam Controller 2/Pro
It ain't fricking right.
They haven't announced anything, thats the thing. In the same interview in which a Valve rep said they were working on a Deck2, they also said they wanted to make another Steam Controller, and were considering Steam Machines again as well. Vague terms, no time tables, no real commitment, just a general sentiment that these are things they'd like to do one day in the future.
you can use your deck as a steam controller like you would do with a wiiU you moron
I hate gaming on my gaming PC at my desk and I think I would game more on the deck and I would like being able to game in bed. Would it be worth getting a deck? I won't be taking it outside.
I got you senpai
>Announcing a second version of the handheld PC kills all interest in the first version when it hasn't even been a year since it was released.
>Why did valve betray gen 1 buyers? Was this a paypig device the whole time?
Did you forget or just weren't born yet when they did this exact same shit to Left 4 Dead?
Thanks for beta testing, losers. Going g to be really comfy with my 'ick on my 'eck 2.
You got your Deck, you set it up, you're excited, you install 20 games, and then choice paralysis hits you, and you end up putting it away, not playing all your 20 games. Instead you find yourself scrolling through the Steam Deck subreddit, addicted to news and other peoples hype and happiness for the device.
Here's what worked for me:
I exclusively keep my Steam Deck at my bed table, so its always within reach when I'm in the bed. The only other electronics I keep there is my phone and tablet, which I can't game the same games on.
If you have a laptop: I turned my Laptop into my Desktop by hooking it up to an external monitor on my desk, so the Laptop will never be able to lure me to use it in bed. If you don't have a laptop, this issue will solve itself, as you'll probably have a desktop instead.
Install 2D games that are easy to jump in and out of. My 2 personal favorites right now are vampire Survivors and Broforce.
Install a few 3D games, that you can play when you feel motivated to play for longer sessions. This can be Skyrim, The Witcher, or something completely else. Your choice.
I hope these tips work for you, because they definitely work for me. Choice paralysis is a b***h, so its best to keep your backlog of installed games limited, at least for me.
I think my wife wishes I had this problem...
Mine too. She hates it when I play games. But she won't play with me. So I go hang out with friends and we stay up all night playing games. She gets upset. You knew I was a gamer before you married me. Lol
Are you me?
Yeah, he is you.
Idk. Are you also 6'9" and a total goofy dick sometimes? 😛
Im 6'7, lemme get directions to the bbq
Haha. Your short. Lol. Jk. Do you whack your head several times each day too ?
How the weather up there, dick Kappa
6'7 is the perfect cut off, most door ways are 6'8 or 6'9, but sometimes i do scalp myself yes
It sucks! I've gotten so used to people asking I'll often say I'm 0.00127 mile tall, I've had to pay to replace light figures at friends houses more then 3 times and finding cloths that fit is a challenge.
Also finding a size 17 EEEx3 shoe is nearly impossible. But you know that old saying about the size of a guys foot? Well as my wife can confirm I am living proof that is total bullshit ;_;
Otherwise the weather is pleasant 😛
A quarter inch can do a lot of damage at 100mph big guy 😉
And i just tell them im 5'1 or 5'2. Watching the gears turn in idiots heads is hilarious
Same for saying I'm 2,050mm or 205cm. Does the same thing XD
6’3 guy here with a crippling game addiction, what’s up lol
6'3? Too short. This is a 6'6 club here. Hit the road shorty. LMAO. Totally kidding. I go through phases where I'll game alot for like 3 months then do something else for a few months before gaming alot again. Usually depends on the weather. Too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer
Same, I’m super into cars too so during warmer months I’m messing with my car and going to shows and such, but during winter I retreat into my gaming room lmao. My fiancé says on some weekends she doesn’t even know I’m home, but I’ve tried to get her to play stuff with me, and so far the only thing that has stuck was Stardew Valley, she’s got 300 hours in it lmao.
Lol. Stardew valley kicks ass! I've passed out deep in the mines way too many times 😛
My 4th gen camaro was rear ended this past 4th of july, cars are great
My Toyota 86 got wrecked cause an 87 year old pulled through a stop sign right into the highway in front of me and my 2JZGTE swapped IS300 is currently broke waiting on a new computer lol. So yeah I feel you, games have been my focus lately since all the cars are broke.
My next project will either be a 4th gen trans am or an IS300. I have a buddy thats an original owner of his 4th gen so itd be easier to go that route now, but 2j lmao
Sorry to hear about your ride, they really need to make old people re take the driving test every year or so.. A f350 plowed me into a toyota tacoma. Lucky to have made it out without injury. Girlfriend had bad whiplash.
Yeah the 86 is currently waiting to see if it gets fixed or totaled. Just got my rental today. And I have a 2001 IS300. In 2016 I got a 2JZGTE stock low mile engine in great shape for $1500. And then converted it with a cd009 6 speed in 2019. Car is single turbo and makes between 500-550 to the wheels. Super fun when it works right lol.
Do they ever work right for long? Lmao
As long as you keep throwing the wallet at it lol
I used to be into cars somewhat. I had a 86 jaguar xj6 with a 4.6l straight 6 with after market chrome wheels. I loved that car and put way too much money into it.
Sadly it was stolen. In a small town in southern Utah. I've always been into motorcycles as well. My 2008 Honda vtx1800 the ex wife got it in the divorce. And I've had a lot of other bad luck with vehicles so haven't been into them much after those things happened.
Also stardew is the first real game my girlfriend got addictrd to
I'm 6'4 and hit my head all the time....I don't even want to imagine how often you do lol
Just part of life. Lol. Me loose brain .. uh oh
Why I laugh
Public seating and showers are the bane of my existence
LeBron?
Naa. I started hating sports at a very young age. I tried golf once. Accidentally gave my older brother a concussion.
>Accidentally gave my older brother a concussion.
and then you grabbed the golf club? /s
No this was when I was 13. I hit a late puberty and when I turned 16 I was only 5'1 and about 90lb. Then I grew a foot and a half and tripled my weight in a year. Worst year of my life.
Anyways he was trying to teach me and I wouldn't follow through because I didn't want to hit him. (he was standing behind me trying to get me to bend my legs and back straight) said he'd get out of the way. So I did. Got him right in the forehead. He still looks like a butthead with his scar. Lol
Introduce her to animal crossing
I had a big fight with my girl over this. We’ve been together for 11 years and she made a comment that games are childish. I asked her to DD for me to go to the bar so I could hang out there and suddenly she didn’t mind me playing video games as much lol also ended it with this is always been one of my hobbies and always will be. So go watch tik tok for 4 hour straight there’s no difference!
Have you asked her to join you? My s/o had only played wii games before we met, now she owns a Steam Deck and watches youtubers. My suggestion for anyone is to invite them to play a game you'd both probably like. Portal 2, it takes two, heave ho, etc. There are a lot of great co op options for couples
Every day. I've bought many games for us to play together. She will play for like an hour tops. Just the two of us. Wobbly world. Ark. Often times when I talk about games she will just walk away like I'm not even talking.
Last night she asked if I'd join a gym with her. I said yes. Then asked if she'd play this game with me. She said no and walked away. So later I said. Actually no I won't be going to the gym with you. You asked me to do something with you. I said yes. I asked you to do something with me. You said no. So that's your answer.
Keep with the gym if you have any interest or curiosity to do it. No need for the tit for tat. It’s perfectly fine to have different interests, just accept that
From his first post it's seem his wife become upset everytime he play. Look she is the one who not accept that.
Oh man thats rough
Y’all will be divorced within 2 years my guy. Y’all are not a good match. Idk why ppl wanna spend their life with someone they have nothing in common with.
You don’t have to like the same stuff.
It’s more important to communicate needs and expectations clearly. My wife and I struggled with this the first few years. Helped a lot when I would tell her what time I’d be done with my hobby (usually games or woodworking or game dev). It gave me a deadline I would make an effort to keep, and set expectations for her.
There's not liking the same stuff and then there's
>Often times when I talk about games she will just walk away like I'm not even talking.
This isn't healthy and it is a symptom of a relationship coming to its end. You and your spouse don't need to like the same things, but a happy relationship is one where you can share your passions with each other.
Idk man I couldn’t imagine not sharing the activities I love doing with my wife. She’s supposed to be your best friend, usually best friends like the same things.
I have 3 years with her. And yeah I know.
Ya'll should try working on your communication and see if you can come to terms with what you enjoy doing by yourselves and together. Just because she doesn't like your hobby doesn't mean your relationship is a lost cause. She probably sees the gym/working out as a very mutually-beneficial activity, and gaming is understandably harder for some to perceive that way. You must have gotten together for a reason.
>unironically writing "ya'll"
Frick off
No I completely agree. And to be fair the only time she gets upset is when I stay up playing games instead of going to bed with her. Which I have worked on. Now once it hits 10:30 I turn off the computer. Except for on weekends. She didn't get mad or anything. And never tells me I can't play games. It's just more of a grunt. Like she'd prefer I did something else.
When it comes to making dinner together. Watching a movie or when we deep clean the house every Sunday I stay away from games. But if we aren't doing anything else I'll go play a game.
And as for communication it's challenging when you don't speak the same language. Lol. I've always believed that 90% of all communication is non verbal. And when it comes to dating someone who doesn't speak English we always got along very well and still do.
But I have recognized that she did pretend to be interested in gaming/tech when dating and for a while after we got married. Was after getting all the crap done for immigration that she stopped caring about tech and games. And I recognize that.
In the year and a half we've been together I can understand Portuguese semi well and she's gotten much better with English. It's only when talking with either very important things or odd conversations we have to use a translator.
But I'd have to be in dental or stupid to ignore the possibility that she's only using me to become a us citizen.
Immigration takes 3 years to complete. I really hope that isn't the case but it's still a possibility.
This is kind of a lot to presage from this seriously minute look into their lives. I get the same impression, but it's important to be aware of when we're stereotyping and making grand sweeping assumptions based on very little information. We have no idea what the rest of their relationship is like.
It's great actually! Thanks
It's normal and healthy to have some different interests; surely they have some or they wouldn't have gotten together. Key is to respect each other's differences
I ordered my wife a Steam Deck for Christmas. Ten years ago we used to play Left 4 Dead together on our college laptops. We had a blast playing L4D again last weekend! Really cool that our old steam libraries have been revived by this handheld.
That said, I would consider my wife a gamer. She loves RPGs like Mass Effect/Witcher and indie/farming-type games (she's currently playing Strange Horticulture and Coral Island on the Deck)
Same but I’m the gamer and my husband is the one feeling left out.
Same problem here my guy. Hates it when I play games. Won't play with me even though she was a heavy gamer before lol.
my wife fully regrets saying it was fine for me to keep my steam deck beside the bed
There ought to be bounties for shooting redditors on sight.
>and then choice paralysis hits you,
Nah, right away I knew what I wanted to play and had tons of fun with it. I like being able to sit in an arm chair in my nursery room, lay down on my couch anyway I feel at the moment, any orientation, just roll around like a pig in shit while playing my vidya. Its great. I've been playing a lot of cheap indie shit like this one called AFTERBURN which is a super simple little dog fighting game. Using the gyro with it is fricking awesome.
Or you can just buy a 200$ nintendo switch you dumb homosexual
Whas it the point of WINNING OVER NINTENDIES if all you gonna play is a fricking Broforce?!
haha what a moron! An absolute moron
>Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta
This is good. Artifact was a mistake. It should never have existed in the first place.
Deck 2 is a betrayal for deck 1
Just preordered my Deck 2, thanks Artifact schizo.
Can someone spoonfeed me? I've got atelier sophie 2 from https://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1902365#p1902365 and I can't get it to launch. I've tried steam, lutris and different protons but nothing works :/
>Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase
Oh it's this homosexual again.
Serves you morons right for buying shit at launch.
Oh nooo, i spent 600 dollars on something that lasted me two years. Frick, that breaks the bank. How will I be able to afford tomorrow? Ahhh help me Gabe.
Get a fricking job jesus christ its embarrassing.
I hope you guys realize you can game on linux and be free of windows for good.
