It’s a fun game but the more I think aboutt the plot and world the less it makes sense it’s embarrassing it’s like it was written by a child. They should give the next Fallout to Obsidian again

Most of the Fallout 3 companions just exist to be a b***h for the player character, while New Vegas companions have their own stuff going on and won't up and join you as soon as you ask.

Not easy to miss in reality(maybe it's jsut me but I discovered him by pure luck when I first played on xbox 10 years ago and after that always met there always) Usually you meet him if you do moira quest about robots or if you decide to go to Tenpenny, just wait in teh parking lot of Robcoo industries it always stand there.
But it's easy to lose him as a companion since he's pure neutral and fight with only neutral characters and depends on the play style is hard to keep a neutral approach.

Charon and Fawkes are about the only ones I remember with any fondness.

      Anonymous

If you had to make a quest line, similar to New Vegas style of companion questa, for Fawkes/Sharon, what would it be?

For Charon, simple, someone owes him money and you help him fight through gang hideouts like it's straight out of Robocop to get evidence of where is money is.
You can sell, or destroy the product in the warehouses you fought through.
He says he does have a reason beyond money, and when you do kill him, he says its also about reputation.

        Anonymous

isn't charon as close you can get to being a robot without being a robot? why would he care about money?

          Anonymous

Cause he is a contracted killer, makes sense.
Either by helping him or outbidding the other guy, he becomes your companion.
The money/reputation thing is a subversion of the other characters of NV quest line, but it at least makes playing with him on the quest line personification of Bloody Mess, fun as hell.

You also tease character development beyond being a hired killer and have it as a joke that being a hired killer is all that he is.

            Anonymous

wasn't he super brainwashed to do nothing outside of obeying? why would he care about money?

you don't need the equivalent of 100 000 dollars to be able to afford food. considering how his brain works, his whole life could revolve around just eating whatever is given to him while does literally nothing outside of guarding

The RobCo building outside tenpenny. There's an old man and four robots walking around. Talking to him lets you buy RL-3 (if you have neutral karma (unbelievably gay))
